Epilogue

The room with I'm currently occupying is painted green with butter coloured curtains adorning the windows. The tiling is cream and the bedsheet on the bed is teal.

You won't find anything white in this room– well, except for the lightbulb, that is.

It's the same room I once shared with Iman. Nothing has changed except for the bedsheet and the fact that I no longer have a roommate. When I moved back in, I insisted on occupying this same room. I also insisted on occupying it alone. Naja'atu (I still can't call her mum) has moved back to her room before her marriage to that horrible man (his people told her she was no longer welcome in their son's house) thereby forcing Lawal and Suleiman back to the boys' quarters.

There are still things I don't understand or know, things about Iman's death and Naja'atu mostly. Things I'd rather not think about.
