Escorting

Upon seeing the Starwolf, Ryker's body tensed up as he sensed an intense threat that almost made his fighting instincts take over. However, this time he was able to control his body and refrained from involuntarily shooting. This was partly due to his recent familiarity with his body, which allowed him to have better control over his actions. Additionally, he realized that he wouldn't be able to defeat the Starwolf with just his bare hands.

Ryker didn't sense any ill-intent from Claire and even the middle-aged man standing behind her didn't display any hostility towards him.

"Uncle Lucian, Alpha is scaring him!" Claire said to Saint Lucian.

Saint Lucian's smile widened as he patted Alpha twice, and the Starwolf's tense body suddenly relaxed, causing Ryker to feel a sense of relief as the threat seemed to dissipate.

"I'm Combatant Claire of the of the explorer spacecraft, Rand, and this old man is Saint Lucian. That giant Starwolf is Alpha, sir Lucian's combat partner. Now, can you tell us your identity?" The Claire looked at Ryker and asked.

"I am not sure about that myself, I guess my memory lost during the sleep. But here is my identity card that was on my body!" Ryker took off his identity card and handed it over.

"Then, Can you explain what had happened here?" Seeing Ryker's cooperation, Claire then asked while looking at the slightly glowing identity card.

"He recounted the whole story of how pirates captured his escape pod for his rare battle suit and wanted to kill him… So, I killed them!" Ryker simply replied.

Claire was skeptical of Ryker's claim that he had amnesia and was responsible for the violence on the pirate ship. She found it hard to believe that someone with amnesia could commit such acts of violence and slaughter all the pirates on the ship.

Under the law, Ryker's killing of the pirates was not illegal but rather legitimate, so Combatant Claire could not hold him accountable for his actions.

In space, encountering pirates gives anyone the right to defend themselves or to launch an attack as a priority measure. In other words, pirates are seen as universally condemned in space, and such actions against them are supported by the law.

Claire examined Ryker's ID card and initially saw his public information. The information on the card caused her to be surprised at first, but then she became suspicious.

"Mr. Ryker, maybe you have other names, but if the information on the identity card is true, then your age is more than 500 years old, and you have set the latest longevity record!" said Claire There was a strong cynicism in it.

At that moment, Combatant Claire finally noticed Ryker's battle uniform which had been soaked in blood, so she hadn't paid much attention to it. However, now she realized that the suit he was wearing was, in fact, a professional combat suit.

Examining the rank insignia on Ryker's blood-stained battle uniform, Combatant Claire noted the lieutenant rank. While the rank of lieutenant in the military had remained relatively unchanged, there were slight variations in the ranks worn by certain special services.

Considering the combination of the identity card, combat dagger, professional combat uniform, and combat lieutenant rank, if it weren't for the fact that the last professional combat soldier had vanished five hundred years ago, Combatant Claire would have suspected that Ryker was a super soldier.

With Claire leading the way, Ryker in the middle, and Saint Lucian carrying the escape pod from behind, the Starwolf Alpha walked alongside Ryker. Ryker was fully aware that any slight deviation could result in him being torn apart by the powerful Starwolf.

His heightened sense of danger matched his instinct for combat, and he understood the precariousness of his situation.

After successfully completing escort mission, Claire reported to Captain Anselm as they walked, "Captain Anselm, our escort mission is complete. What should we do with the pirate ship?'"
