Chapter 102: The Question Why

She had calmed down only after half an hour.

"I'm sorry," was all she could say as she wiped her face and blew her nose.

Slate shook his head before standing up.

"I'll get going now," he then said.

Amethyst opened her mouth but closed it again, going against what she wanted to say at first.

"Thank you for everything," was all she said and Slate nodded his head before leaving.

She tilted her head to the side.

There is one thing she had noticed. Not once in every conversation the two could get into, did he brought up Scarlet.

She wanted to ask somehow but every time she tried, she couldn't.

The pain, she didn't want to keep on wiping it in his face if she were to ask if he had already moved forward from Scarlet's death.

After cleaning up, she gave Anna and Eduard a call.

"Is there any problem?" Anna asked when she answered the call.

"I'm sorry, I just need a crutch," she replied with uncertainty.
