There is no such thing as night and day here. It was all a stagnant lit atmosphere, without a sun to govern over time and no night to indicate its passage. Thus I used my new ability to fly around the space in wait for Vendir to unlock the restriction on the tower.
Hovering around this space I understood that we were on a circular platform. And in the exact center, there was the lone black tower.
The weapons that were stuck on the iron floor were of a strange nature. Touching any of them will make them crumble, it seems that with the passage of time they deteriorated an now are nothing but rubbish.
The still stuck Ogun was suffering from immense pain as his body was still shivering and cracks would appear and disappear on his body, constantly.
In any case, I would have tried to eliminate the guardian of the dungeon to gain access to the upper floor, but finding the gateway, there was no need to risk a fight with this guy. Afterall he is indeed strong, too bad he was an unlucky guy trying to force his justice upon me.
The black smoke that I was flying on was willed by me to go back towards the tower. I was flying around for a long time and now that I approached the black tower I saw everyone laying about.
The dark smoke gathered and I emerged from.
"This should be the last one, everyone prepare yourselves." Said Vendire as he pushed another magic circle at the door.
The red circle at the door then spun and sounds of crackling lightning were heard.
Soon after the restriction was removed
"This should do it. let's go" said Vendir as he looked at me
"Why are you looking at me?" I said. Do I look like a team captain?
"Well you should be the one to test it, at least even if you die you can come back," said venture with an evil grin on his face.
"Sigh, you have the same ability, you won't die even if you get zapped," I said
"Well, for me, it takes much longer to regenerate myself. Common what is the worse that could happen?" he said as he made way
"Sigh"
Once at the door, I hesitated a bit. Well whatever, at worst I will get fried and will rise back…
Touching the door handle, thankfully nothing happened and the door made way after giving an eerie creak.
There was no dust inside, unlike what I believed it to be an old tower, it was actually well kept.
However, there was not a single item or furniture on the walls or around. There was just a long and circular staircase leading up.
Leading the group I headed up prudently. However, thankfully there was no danger at all.
Once all the way up the tower, there was a small pond on the top floor.
"is this the portal you spoke about?" said Vendir
"Yes, I remember using something like this back in hell. This will probably lead us to another circle."
The others were rather perplexed at my statement. It indeed looks like a normal pond of water, if I didn't use one before I would have been suspicious too.
"Sigh, you guys have no balls," I said as I jumped forward landing straight in the middle of the pond and emerging in another location.
Congratulation for clearing the circle of judgment
The guardian of the second circle was not defeated, no bonus rewards shall be added.
Accessing the third circle
Circle of faith.
Once I opened my eyes I looked at the notification and willed it to go away.
Looking around I saw that I was on top of a moving platform. It was made of stone and was about twenty meters in length and ten in width.
It was dark in here, and below the platform was an enormous dark pit that would send shivers down one's spin if they were to look at it.
Soon after, everyone appeared near me, one by one they emerged after a white glow.
"What is this?" said Haruka who was a bit close to me.
"It seems that we need to reach there," I said as I pointed forward.
There was a golden gate far in the distance. And there were hundreds of platforms orbiting around it, the fixed point was the platform we were standing on and the closer we got to the gate the larger the platforms will be.
"Oh, that shouldn't be difficult," said Vendir as he floated and tried to move to the next platform.
However before he could even move a golden orb emerged from the dark space, reminiscent of a small sun, it shot a ray of golden energy that moved forward at an incredible speed.
Vendir didn't have the time to dodge and hastily used his staff to summon a barrier to defend against the incoming ray of light.
However, the light disregarded the barrier and pierced through Vendir's chest like a hot knife through butter.
"Holy shit!"
The moment Vendir was hit he fell back to the ground, staggered but nevertheless pissed off.
"Fucking hell! What was that? That was not magic!" said Vendir as he shouted towards the faded orb.
"I think I get it," said Haru as he got closer to the edge of the platform.
"What is it?" I said as I looked at vendir's sorry state who was barely managing to recover his lost Hp and regenerating the hole in his chest.
"We are not supposed to fly I think, we need to get to the other side without using any flight means." He said
"I think he is right, look there is a platform coming our way, let's try jumping towards it," I said
A bigger platform soon came closer to where we stood. And defensively we all moved forward jumping on the platform.
Thankfully that ray of light didn't shoot at any of us.
"I think we got the gist of it, let's keep this pace," I said but the moment I finished my words, a creature soon emerged from the far end of the moving platform that we just managed to jump on.
It looked like a giant mantis, only it was brown as dirt and it had claws that had the luster of metal
Metal claws celestial Mantis
Level 300
Of the many creatures of the Upper realm the Metal clawed Celestial Mantis is known for its vicious nature and its ability to bring calamity with their sheer numbers, one may not be powerful to threaten other beings but once they group, they are a force to be reckoned with.
"Oh, a level 300…" I said
Looking forward I understood one thing
"I guess this circle is going to be really dangerous," I said as I swiped my hand forward, as infernal chains were soon summoned and they ripped the creature apart.
The bug died before it could even do anything, but a grim expression was soon apparent on my face.
"Why do you think so?" said Shara who got too close for comfort.
"Eugh… The closer to the gate we get… the more of these we will encounter… and on this rate, I guess that we will be swarmed at the entrance of the gate… this is going to be dangerous…" I said as another platform soon emerged
We then all jumped,
Then two bugs soon emerged
I think my deduction was right… the closer we get, the more of these will spawn, and judge by the distance… once we reach the end, we will be forced to fight an army of these. Shit.
