The weeks passed peacefully, and surprisingly quickly. It seemed that this year was going to go by in a flash. Tiana's mother had finally left in the last week of January, and in that time, no visits from the unwanted person had disturbed the couple's peace of mind.
In the blink of an eye, the second week of February had arrived, bringing with it all the excitement that the lovers'day did not fail to raise.
Tiana and Ruddy walked slowly along the winding paths of the market, stopping every now and then to get whatever was on their shopping list. All around them, Valentine's Day fever was palpable. Wherever their eyes landed, they couldn't help but encounter little hearts, flowers and chocolate.
They looked, tenderly, at the young people who crowded the different stalls, looking for the ideal gift for their soul mate , an imperishable token of an ardent love, and, they certainly thought it at this stage of their lives, unconditional.
