Jesse's POV

"You must be Jesse ".he brought forth his hand to me with a smile in his face.

"Yes sir" I stood up from the couch and took his hand, 

"She is beautiful".he said those words while staring at Daniel who chuckled and shyly ran his hand through his hair.

"Welcome my dear ".he muttered out those words like he meant it, 

I flash him a smile and took my hand away from his.

"Welcome".a lady who walked in with him came forward and smiled at me 

"I'm faith Daniel's ex" she spoke with a big grin on her face 

"Oh".was all I could say.

Everyone burst into a loud laughter including Daniel, I stared at them and wondered what was funny.

"You actually believed her ". Daniel spoke amidst laughter.

I roll my eyes and look away.

"She is not my type".he murmured with laughter, 

Faith roll her eyes at him before speaking 

"I was just joking he is definitely not my type, and I'm married ".she showed her fingers to me which had a wedding ring.

"This young man here has refused to get married, but I believe since he has seen you he will definitely get married soon ".she muttered out those words like she was so sure of it.

I smiled at her but did not say a word.

"Let's go to the table, food is served"Daniel's mom spoke up 

"Let's go dear ". Daniel leads the way for me.

We walk to the dinning table and I noticed the table was really big and and can accommodate up to ten people.

"This is big, do you have a large family ?" I whisper to Daniel 

"Kind of but most of them are not in the country ".he replied firmly 

"Thank God "I murmured to myself 

I wouldn't have been able to stand the other members of his family when I knew i  will soon end things with him.

"Are you okay?" He asked when he noticed I was lost in thought.

"Yeah".I replied with a smile.

He flash me a smile before placing a plate in front of me.

Katherine and Angela brought in the food in a big bowl.

I stared at the table and was trilled with what I saw

Different dishes and fruits were kept on the table.

"This is mouth watering ". I murmured, 

Everyone flash me a big smile before picking up their plates.

"Let's pray ". Daniel's dad spoke up 

We all closed our eyes, and he said a quick prayer

"Amen".we all chorused 

"Let's eat ". Katherine exclaims happily, 

Everyone chuckled at her behavior before dishing out the food from the big bowl 

"Take as much as you want dear "Daniel's mom smiled at me 

"Thanks "

I pick up the spoon and put some smashed potatoes on my plate.

"Don't you want carrots".she asked 

"Not really, I ate a lot of carrots .few hours ago "

She smiled at me and went back to her food.

I pick up the spoon and started eating, and it was really tasty. 

We all eat in silence while I noticed Daniel's eyes always me, but I wasn't uncomfortable by it.

"Thank you, the food was indeed delicious". I muttered put those words after we've finished eating.

"Thank you, but you know Daniel is a better cook than I am".

Daniel chuckled softly and took a sip of his drink 

"Stop it mom ".he murmured in smile 

"What? I'm just saying the truth ".

"That's a lie, you are just flattering me".he responded.

"Well I don't know about that, but I know you are a good cook judging from the last time I ate your food ". I spoke up.

"He has cooked for you ". Angela asked in shock, 

"Yes". I replied confused 

"How lucky you are, Daniel doesn't cook for anyone, we can only manage to eat Daniel's food if we are sick, or it's our birthday". Angela murmured, 

Daniel Chuckled softly and shakes his head 

"I'm a very busy man, you don't expect me to be in the kitchen all day cooking for you ".

“Whatever”. Angela murmured, 

"Your mom is to be blamed for this ". Daniel's dad spoke up 

"What did I do ".she asked 

"You allowed him into your kitchen every second of the day ignoring the girls ".

Everyone laughed loudly including I 

"That's not true, Angela and Kathrine are not the kitchen type, no matter how hard I tried".she defends herself.

"That's true ".faith spoke up, 

"You are supporting mom ". Katherine muttered out those words while staring at faith with a death glare.

Faith chuckled softly and raised her hands in surrender, 

Everyone laughs softly and stood up from the table.

I was about picking up the plate when Daniel stopped me 

"Don't worry about that, the housekeeper is around "

"But I can do this, no need calling for the housekeeper". I murmured

"No, you are a guest here, maybe when you are married to my son you can do it ". Daniel mother smile at me before pulling me away from the dinning.

What a pity, she actually thought I will get married to Daniel. This people are getting too attached to me and I need to leave before things get out of hand.

"Here, this is a Christmas gift from all of us, we don't know you that much that was why we couldn't get an individual gifts" Daniel's mom handed a box to me 

"Thanks ma'am, I really appreciate". I took the box from her with a smile.

"Can I open it "

"Yeah sure"

I smiled at everyone and open the box, 

Inside the box was the most beautiful set of high hill shoes I have ever laid my hands on.

It was slivered in color, and we're made with shining stones, 

"This is beautiful". I murmured

"I'm glad you like it "

"Let's see if it fits your leg". Daniel took the shoes and squat before me

"You don't have to ". I tried stopping him, but he ignored me and asked me to sit, 

I stared at everyone and noticed they were smiling at us

"Give me your leg".

I hesitated for a while before bringing my legs to him, 

He removes my shoe and put the new one on me, and it fits perfectly.

"This is beautiful". I murmured

"Yeah, and it's only one of it kind in the world". Katherine spoke up, 

"How". I asked confused, 

"Because Daniel designed it ".she spoke firmly.
