"I have burnt half the empire, yet they did not punish me. Harold is still alive, what could they do about it?" he smirked, making her frown go deeper. She will not believe that it would have no repercussions. He was hiding something from her.
"Nothing that you should be worried about. Rest, I will go and look for Ian and Cotlin first.'' He patted her shoulders and forced her to lie on the bed. She knew that he was not going to look for them.
But she did not stop him from leaving. She needed him to leave so that she could go and find what Harold had spouted so far.
"I should have killed him instead. Sparing his life was a mistake." Damien chuckled and held the knob of the door while turning to look at her.
"It is alright. Your husband would correct this mistake of yours." he waited for her to refuse. To tell him that she did not want to kill him. Or she did not want Damien to take action. But she nodded at once.
