Chapter 29

After going through a tense situation, Anna returns to where she left her groceries after Brandon. The bodyguards came in a hurry because they couldn't find Anna after learning that there was a theft in the market. However, Anna seemed a little annoyed that the bodyguard had arrived so late.

"Is Miss Anna all right?" asked the guard.

While picking up the things, Anna replied in an annoyed tone, "You guys look at me are you okay?"

The two bodyguards looked at each other; they realized that the tone was not pleasing. They also try to win Anna's heart to make the queen's lady-in-law's mood happy again. One by one, the groceries were carried by the guards and let Anna go first to the market entrance.

The maid who had split up with Anna was already waiting there. Anna, who still looked annoyed, immediately walked past the maid who was already smiling at her. The confused maid tried to ask the guards what was going on.

"Looks like he met the thief," said one guard.

"When we arrived, things were already a mess and Miss Anna was cleaning it up," continued the second guard.

"You guys were too late to save him, no wonder he looked upset. But, he looks fine, "said the waiter.

Anna, who walked first in front of the guards and the maids, heard what they were talking about. It didn't matter because the conversation was about the servant's worries, but his emotions were provoked because he was in a bad mood.

Anna turned around and surprised the maid and the two bodyguards. They were silent and lowered their heads; after all, Anna has a higher position than them because she is a personal maid.

After seeing the maid and the two bodyguards silent and looking down guiltily, Anna turned around and walked again.

In the palace, not much to do by Axel. He was only in the reading room to see some inter-kingdom documents and also the letters sent to the Kingdom of Nirvana. Axel seemed to want to divert his mind by being busy taking care of the kingdom. The problem is about feelings, he realizes it will never end, and there is no definite solution.

Assisted by the librarian who guards the room, Axel reads a lot and finds out what he wants to know. Right then and there, Axel asked about reincarnation and the possibility of the dead coming back to life.

"Have you ever read about such a thing?" Axel asked the librarian.

"I myself believe that reincarnation exists. however, for the dead to come back to life, it seemed impossible. Just imagine when a person has been reduced to ashes and he returns with his burnt form, isn't that impossible?" answer the librarian.

Axel nodded his head; what the palace librarian said is also true. However, there is another thing that bothers Axel's mind, if there is reincarnation, will they be the same people as when they were alive? Thinking about it made Axel want to experience it firsthand to get a definite answer.

"Why is the King so interested in this? Did something happen?" asked the librarian.

"Ah, no, I'm just curious," replied Axel. He went back to reading the book he was reading.

The librarian also sorted out some letters that Axel had read and taken a reply letter written by Axel to be sent to the destination. He sees Axel as very different from his father because he has a critical mind and many things he wants to know even though it is impossible in their natural world.

"King, please excuse me to pack these papers. If I need something, I'm in the back room," said the librarian.

Axel gave a smile and also nodded his head. He felt better alone and thought about what his curiosity was isolated. Sometimes, the people he talks to are a little confused about something he wants to know.

Axel just came out of the reading room; he saw Anna carrying some things. Anna, who also saw Axel, immediately stopped and saluted the King who was standing. Axel walked over to his wife's maid to make small talk.

"Are those flowers for Charlotte?" asked Axel.

"That's right, King. I just came back from the market and saw some pretty flowers," answered Anna.

"Too bad I didn't know you went to the market today, maybe I can leave the flowers for my wife too," said Axel.

Anna, who still kept her smile, was slightly surprised by the King's different attitude. He didn't know if Axel's attitude was just an image of himself or if it was sincere from his heart. However, that goodwill should be appreciated; it might advance Axel's feelings for Charlotte.

After making small talk, Axel invited Anna to see his wife, still in his private room. However, when Anna's steps had just started, she again remembered what Brandon had said if Axel had also met him and gave an unusual face.

"King, sorry if this question is presumptuous, but I really want to know. Did the King meet a thief in the market some time ago?"

Axel frowned. "Yes, I met him while on a visit. Why do you ask?"

"I met him earlier, and a little something happened. Why didn't the King catch him? he was very unsettling," said Anna.

"He will definitely be caught soon," Axel said with a smile. He then left just like that, leaving Anna. However, after turning around and no longer dealing with his wife's maid, Axel changed his face.

Axel can't tell about the dream he keeps having about Remanu and Brandon. All will not believe what he experienced; the plan sounded like a joke to others.

The night when everyone was fast asleep, as well as Charlotte, who had fallen asleep earlier than usual from drinking the relaxation tea. However, suddenly a scream woke Charlotte.

The scream came from the husband who was in the next bed. This time Charlotte tried to wake her husband because delirium was not as usual. Charlotte was worried that something would happen to Axel.

"Axel, wake up," Charlotte said as she slightly shook her husband's body.

Axel finally woke up very surprised to see Charlotte so close to him. He also asked what happened to him so that his wife came to him. Charlotte, who was still worried, explained to Axel what had just happened to him.

"You were so delirious you screamed and woke me up," Charlotte said.

"Is it like that? I'm sorry to bother you," said Axel.

"It does not matter. Go back to sleep? Or, do you want me to make the relaxation?"

Axel shook his head and told Charlotte to go back to sleep. The dream came back, the dream about Remanu in another world with Brandon. He was curious about what was going on. The distance of the goal was not far from the last goal; he also felt something strange. Axel thought that if Commander Remanu wasn't at peace there or his guilt made the dream so real, Axel thought of a way to get an answer.

Seeing Charlotte fall asleep again, Axel finally laid back again and began to close his eyes. he didn't want to think much about it; maybe tomorrow, he would find out more about dreaming of the dead.
