Chapter 14:

Gabrielle’s POV

Elaine walked into the office and waved her mobile phone with a smile. "This Luke surrendered in two hours. I thought he was some tough guy. It turns out that he's a pussy."

I picked up my phone and glanced at Luke's statement. I didn't care a damn about his apology.

If his parents hadn't put pressure on him, he wouldn't have apologized to me. I made him lose face and he must hate me so much now.

I also hoped that he would learn from it, and never piss me off.

At this time, someone knocked on the door. Sarah pushed the door open and came in with a smile. "Gabrielle, may I come in and have a word with you?"

"Please come in."

When Sarah came in, she cast a glance at Elaine and her expression showed that she wanted the conversation to be private.

However, Elaine was not smart enough to notice that. She insisted on staying with me in my office.

"What's the matter?" I asked.
