The Twin Cold Sabers' Discussion

After hearing the relevant information regarding their master, the Twin Cold Sabers departed.

The two began their discussion as they entered a restaurant and ordered exquisite food.

This food possessed rich Ardor that greatly assisted in healing their injuries. The taste of the meat was good enough that Xiao Lan started drooling immediately.

The Twin Cold Sabers' stunning appearance grabbed the people's attention in the restaurant.

The Twin Cold Sabers were used to this attention and ignored it.

Qian Yanyu remained vigilant as she scanned the area to see if anybody was overhearing their chat.

In comparison, Xiao Lan was considerably more relaxed.

Qian Yanyu inquired, "What do you think about that information? Do you think that they are telling us the truth?"

Xiao Lan had already begun to swallow the food on her plate. She hurriedly gulped down and spoke, "It is unbelievable, but I think that they are worth trusting."

"…Hmph. Is this trust because of your little crush?" Qian Yanyu rolled her eyes as she elegantly cut the food on her plate and took a bite.

Xiao Lan's style was rather uncouth in comparison. She responded indignantly, "No way! I truly feel that he can be trusted. This matter concerns our master, and I won't mess around with something so serious."

Qian Yanyu knew that Xiao Lan was speaking the truth, but she didn't want to swallow her words.

She merely spoke, "Whatever. But what should we do? Do we approach the Vrupashi Religion? However, if we visit the Vrupashi Religion and try to meet our master, her identity that she has been trying so hard to conceal will be revealed."

Qian Yanyu didn't want to brag, but whether it was due to their martial talent or beautiful appearance, the Twin Cold Sabers were rather famous in the entire Zhongxing Kingdom.

"That's not all. What will we do even after we meet our master? Do we support her in her battle against the Royal Family?" Xiao Lan asked another question.

They were really in a tricky situation.

The Twin Cold Sabers knew it would be disastrous if they joined either side.

Opposing the Royal Family was silly, but battling the Vrupashi Religion or the JRA meant fighting their master.

Xiao Lan noticed that her senior sister was lost in deep thought.

With a slight smirk, Xiao Lan spoke, "Our only option is to remain neutral and refuse to join either side. However, this choice also has disadvantages as it will be much harder for us to increase our strength."

Qian Yanyu remained silent but knew that Xiao Lan was speaking the truth. It had been a couple of years since the two left the Silver Snow Sect, and the growth of their strength hadn't been very optimistic.

This was all because acquiring precious and rare resources was much harder for an individual than a faction.

The two had already experienced it firsthand.

"What are you suggesting?" Qian Yanyu asked.

She noticed the smirk on Xiao Lan's face and knew she had an idea.

"Hehe. We can stay neutral while signing a mercenary contract with either faction. Once an all-out war breaks between the two factions, we can just break the contract. This will allow us to gain resources to grow and investigate the matter regarding our master in detail," Xiao Lan explained.

Qian Yanyu found this idea quite reasonable. This would allow them to accomplish their objectives.

"Please get the bill," She suddenly called out for the waiter.

The waiter arrived and passed the bill. Qian Yanyu paid the bill.

The twin beauties stood up and left the restaurant.

Some men seemed to be waiting for this moment and immediately followed them. However, the Twin Cold Sabers were nowhere to be seen.

After half an hour, Qian Yanyu and Xiao Lan were standing in a solitary field.

They continued their discussion as Qian Yanyu spoke, "Your idea is quite good. It's just that…"

"Hmm? Is there still any issue with it?" Xiao Lan seemed puzzled as she inquired curiously.

Qian Yanyu rolled her eyes in response. She sneered and said, "I would have agreed if you hadn't tried to trick me into establishing a pact with the Ren Family's faction."

Xiao Lan seemed visibly shaken upon hearing these words. She stammered, "Wh-what d-do y-you m-mean, Senior Sister?"

Qian Yanyu harrumphed in response and spoke, "Hmph. I see that your little crush has taken the form of infatuation. You are even trying to trick me for a guy."

"I-It's not like that," Xiao Lan responded while calming down.

Qian Yanyu naturally wasn't convinced by those words. She merely snorted in disbelief.

Xiao Lan explained, "I admit this was part of the reason. But just think about it. The only faction we know that has information about our master is the Ren Family's faction. They are also rather weak and do not have a 5-Star Warrior. In fact, I doubt they even have a couple of 4 Star Warriors. This means that they can't compel us to do anything. We can always flee. However, this faction still seems to possess many resources and a great information network. We also know the leader of this faction to some extent and know that she can be trusted."

"True. She seemed too simple-minded enough to deceive us," Qian Yanyu agreed with Xiao Lan's reasoning.

"I still don't like that you didn't share this reasoning and tried to trick me," Qian Yanyu spoke while glaring at Xiao Lan.

"I really apologize, Senior Sister. I thought you will reject my suggestion b-because of my f-feelings," Xiao Lan reasoned.

Qian Yanyu looked into Xiao Lan's eyes and finally sighed, "…Whatever. Just don't lose yourself to your infatuation. I don't want you to do anything like this ever again!"

A wide smile appeared on Xiao Lan's face. It was similar to sight of flowers blooming. The happiness radiating from Xiao Lan even affected Qian Yanyu.

"Yes, Senior Sister. I will listen to you!"

Internally, Qian Yanyu thought, 'This would also be a good opportunity to study that man and find out how he killed that 4 Star Warrior?'

With a slight smile, Qian Yanyu joked, "Many men will die of heartache if they find out that a servant stole your heart."

Xiao Lan's expression remained the same as she happily responded, "I don't know as well. It's just that when I saw him, my heart started beating really quickly."

Qian Yanyu snorted in response, "Whatever you say."

She still found it hard to believe that her junior sister would fall in love like this.
