Lian Ming quickly returned to the prison.

Her subordinates in prison informed her that her husband, Hai Bai, had come looking for her. He was seated in her office.

Lian Ming had an ominous feeling as she heard this news. She quickly entered her office and met up with her husband.

Hao Bai looked in her direction and was startled when he noticed bruises all over Lian Ming's body.

"Are you sure he hasn't gone out to play?" Lian Ming asked casually.

"I looked around everywhere, but I couldn't find him. I also asked everyone in the neighborhood, but no one had seen him. I returned to his room and saw this letter on the table," Hao Bai's hand was shaking as he passed the letter to Lian Ming.

The letter stated that her kid had been abducted. If Lian Ming wanted her kid back safely, she had to release Ren Yue.

Lian Ming had two days to fulfill this demand if she wanted to see her kid alive.

'I will kill that bastard! I will definitely kill him!' Lian Ming swore as she held this letter.

"…Don't worry, darling. I will find Kang'er before anyone can hurt him!" Lian Ming promised her husband.

Hao Bai trusted his wife and left the prison.

Ren Yue was currently imprisoned in the Underground Dungeon.

Long Chen kidnapped Hao Kang and placed him in the warehouse where Geng Ru stored half of his wealth.

He was confident that Lian Ming wouldn't find her son here. Unlike the case with Dong Chao, where Lian Ming was searching for him with the assistance of the entire Law Enforcement Department, she couldn't do that to search for her son.

And there was a low chance that Lian Ming would reveal this information to someone in prison because that would prevent her from releasing Ren Yue.

Long Chen winced slightly as he noticed multiple scars on her face. There were also numerous wounds on her fair arms.

Long Chen couldn't see the wounds on her back or leg as she wore the prisoner's outfit that completely covered them. However, he was sure that they were also riddled with injuries.

"Who are you?" Ren Yue tiredly asked.

"And what do you want?" Ren Yue asked indifferently.

"I need your identity and connections. Just understand that we both have similar interests. It's just that I am much greedier than you," Long Chen spoke.

Long Chen's words truly caught Ren Yue's attention. She wondered if he was another one of Lian Ming's tricks to make Ren Yue reveal something.

"And what will I gain?" Ren Yue asked coldly.

"Well, I think your freedom should be good enough. But I have something else that can excite you even more. I can heal your crippled meridians, and you can revive your cultivation. Moreover, you can also recover your beauty or even become more beautiful than at your peak," Long Chen slowly presented the bait to Ren Yue.

If Lian Ming hadn't arrived, Ren Yue could have killed the heir from that hateful family. Unfortunately, she failed.

"These conditions are non-negotiable. We cannot cooperate if you disagree with them," Ren Yue spoke firmly.

Long Chen thought for a while before he spoke, "…Your vengeance on Captain Lian Ming must not involve other people like her husband or son."

Ren Yue was about to speak, but Long Chen's eyes suddenly turned frigid cold as he added, "And this is my non-negotiable. If you don't agree, then you can continue to rot in this cell for your entire life!"

Ren Yue gritted her teeth upon hearing those words but finally promised him, "…Alright. I won't act against her family, only against her personally."

"Swear on your family's souls," Long Chen spoke icily.

People on Frascoia Continent didn't make such oaths easily. If they broke their oath, they would truly face the consequences.

Ren Yue understood that there was no way to make Long Chen believe her otherwise.

"I, Ren Yue, promise on my parent's souls that I will enact my vengeance only on Captain Lian Ming and will never act against her family."

"I, Long Chen, promise on my mother's soul that I will fulfil Ren Yue's conditions."

Ren Yue was startled upon hearing this oath. She didn't think he would also make such a merciless oath. She was finally starting to trust him a bit.

"So, your name is Long Chen," Ren Yue whispered.

"Yes," Long Chen responded shortly.

"Can I call you Brother Long?" Ren Yue asked a bit politely.

"That's your choice," Long Chen shrugged in response.

"Alright. I will call you Brother Long then," Ren Yue spoke with a tinge of happiness.

"Hmm," Long Chen nodded slowly. He then spoke, "Captain Lian Ming will soon meet you and secretly escort you out of the prison. Restrain your hatred and just follow her instructions. You will soon be free."

He soon left the prison after saying these words.
