Concealment

Long Chen stared at the face of that warrior and recognized him. He also came to the same conclusion as Lian Ming.

It was only natural since only the Mayor was aware of this ambush on the JRA's base. Not even his personal bodyguard could have known of this sensitive information.

'I understand now. The JRA must have some sensitive information about the Mayor that he doesn't want the world to know. So, he must have informed them of this ambush and secretly supported them,' Long Chen thought.

As he gazed at Lian Ming and Gu Bo's conditions, Long Chen couldn't help but sigh. He thought, 'The result of this battle is clear. Even though nearly all of JRA's warriors have been restrained or killed, just the fact that Pan Shi is still standing makes it JRA's victory.'

Meanwhile, Pan Shi and the Mayor's Personal Bodyguard, Cao Lim, were conversing as well.

"That woman saw my face. We must kill both of them immediately to prevent them from leaking this information," Cao Lim spoke with thick killing intent in his eyes.

However, Pan Shi didn't seem all that worried.

Cao Lim sneered upon noticing that relaxed look on Pan Shi's face and added, "Are you planning on using this information to affect the Mayor's prestige? Do you know what will happen if that occurs? The Jin Noble Family will send their personal force to clean up this mess!"

Pan Shi's expression instantly changed as he spoke, "You are lying."

Cao Lim snorted in disdain, "You can choose to believe me or wait for the Jin Family to send their personal forces to destroy you."

Pan Shi understood the graveness of this matter and instantly moved from his position.

Pan Shi instantly cut apart the large rock with his Wind Slashes and targeted Gu Bo. He noticed Gu Bo and Lian Ming were planning to escape into the woods.

Pan Shi utilized his movement technique to approach them. However, Gu Bo suddenly turned his body and released his Ardor.

The ground underneath Pan Shi began to tremble as Earth Spikes were formed and attacked him.

Pan Shi noticed that Gu Bo was creating these Earth Spikes in such a manner to prevent him from approaching Lian Ming.

"Hmph," Pan Shi snorted in disdain as he released a highly pressured burst of wind to destroy these spikes.

Pan Shi utilized his movement technique to approach Lian Ming.

Just as Gu Bo was about to try and stop him, he was attacked with a Giant Blazing Sphere.

Gu Bo had to set up a protective Earth Wall to block this Giant Blazing Sphere, or else he would have instantly died.

Unfortunately, it was enough time for Pan Shi to have left Gu Bo's range.

In these woods, Lian Ming's speed was much slower when compared to Pan Shi, so she had to stop for a moment and release an attack in his direction to stop him before moving further.

Her plan failed as Pan Shi easily dodged her attacks. Her right arm was completely useless, so the power of her attacks had already been reduced by half.

"…These small attacks won't work. I need to attack him with an extremely powerful attack that covers a large area," Lian Ming muttered.

She started to gather all her Ardor for her next attack.

Pan Shi was slightly surprised when Lian Ming didn't attack him for the next few minutes. He guessed that she had exhausted her Ardor.

However, he had no idea that she was utilizing all her Ardor, including her vitality to launch one final attack.

Lian Ming suddenly turned around and faced Pan Shi.

"Great Tsunami Destruction!"

A massive tide rose ahead of Lian Ming, and it quickly headed toward Pan Shi. This attack covered such a vast area that it was impossible to dodge.

Pan Shi noticed the trees ahead of him were instantly destroyed as they struck this Tsunami. He also understood that this water most likely possessed intense pressure, and it would crush anything that came in contact with it.

He stopped for a moment and gathered all his Ardor.

Meanwhile, Lian Ming was satisfied with the power of her attack. However, she quickly turned her head and started running at her top speed.

However, her body soon lost its strength, and she fell forward.

Lian Ming looked back and noticed that Pan Shi had created a Wind Sphere around him that exerted its pressure outwards. The Tsunami's destructive power allowed it to pierce this Wind Sphere, but to a controlled degree.

Lian Ming quickly tried to get up and run, but her legs felt extremely weak. She had already utilized all her Ardor in that earlier attack, along with a bit of vitality, in hopes of killing Pan Shi.

Unfortunately, Pan Shi turned out to be stronger than her expectations.

Suddenly, she was pulled to the side.

Pan Shi dealt with the Great Tsunami Destruction and wiped the sweat off his forehead. This was indeed a destructive attack. If he hadn't kept his Ardor ready, he might have been gravely injured or even died in that attack.

However, Pan Shi frowned as he failed to find Lian Ming.

'It's impossible for her to escape far away with so low Ardor. She must be hiding somewhere,' Pan Shi thought.

However, his thoughts came to a halt as he saw a silhouette heading deeper into the woods. Pan Shi spoke with a wretched grin on his face, "Found you~."

Pan Shi ran forward at a quick pace, paying no attention to his injuries.

After he left, two individuals appeared with their bodies glued to the tree.

It was Lian Ming and Long Chen.

Long Chen still wore that mask to conceal his identity.

The two were sitting in an ambiguous position on the ground as this man's arm wrapped around Lian Ming's thin waist, tightly hugging her.

Lian Ming could feel a manly breath on her nape. She blushed madly. It had been a long time since a man had so amorously touched her other than her husband.

However, Lian Ming soon felt that man's arm releasing her. She heard a relieved sigh before he spoke with a calm tone, "We should take advantage of this opportunity and move somewhere else. It will be bad if that guy returns."

Lian Ming agreed with his reasoning and readily spoke, "You are right."

She tried to stand and wobbled.

Long Chen instantly supported her and prevented her from falling down. His palms held Lian Ming's shoulders.

"It seems you are still weak by launching that earlier attack," Long Chen spoke with a dissatisfied tone.

Lian Ming nodded slowly as she was slightly embarrassed. She couldn't even walk.

"We need to leave this area quickly. I apologize if I offend Mrs. Lian," Long Chen spoke as he stood up.

Lian Ming raised her brows as she didn't understand what he meant. She inquired curiously, "What do you mea-?"

Her words were suddenly cut off as Long Chen lowered his upper body and suddenly lifted Lian Ming's body in his arms.

One arm went under Lian Ming's legs while the other supported her back. If a third person saw them, they would think it was a husband carrying his wife. This was also known as princess carry.

Lian Ming's face was flushed red with embarrassment and agitation. Not even her husband had carried her like this. She was angry that an unknown man had taken such a great advantage of her.

She could still feel his fingers touching her back gently.

However, Lian Ming was aware of her predicament and knew that it was crucial for her to preserve her life.

It would be a disaster if Pan Shi found them. She had noticed that despicable look in his eyes and knew he was up to no good.

'Whatever. I guess I can let him go since he did save my life.'

After ten minutes or so, Pan Shi realized that he had been duped. He quickly traced his way back to the JRA's base while looking around and searching for Lian Ming.

Unfortunately, Long Chen and Lian Ming had already escaped from the area.

Very soon, they were out of danger.
