Chapter 46

As the dust settles, the giant lizard scream stopped. Davida, Diane and Duncan finally could see what happened to the giant lizard. They saw the giant lizard passed out with his tongue outside, looking all funny. Then, a glistering white orb emerged from the giant lizard's mouth. Ducan looked at Davida and Diane, "Cover me!" Duncan ordered as he slowly walked towards the seemingly dead giant lizard.

Duncan carefully walked, observing the behaviour of the giant lizard. After grabbing the white orb, Duncan used his greatsword to prod at the giant lizard. Anthony's forehead twitched, 'You fucking bastard! I've nice you by holding back, but now you prodded me with your sword. If only….' The giant lizard held his urged to swat the weak human before him and kept silent the entire time, pretending to be dead.

Duncan continues to poke the lizard with that giant greatsword of his, making the giant lizard more agitated. 'Can you please, Stop!' Anthony cried in frustration, 'Haven't you already humiliated me enough!?' After a full minute of prodding and poking, Duncan stopped, his feet moved away from the giant lizard. "That's it?" Davida said, puzzled, "The giant lizard that ran us ragged, that managed to fool us by feigning weakness and summoning those terrifying undead fall just like this?" she questioned.

"What if this was another ploy by the giant lizard, young miss?" Diane inquire. Duncan nodded, "It could be…. Why don't we made sure the giant lizard was truly dead?" he suggested. Hearing Duncan words, Anthony sweats bucket, 'You vile human! I already looked dead to you, but you even wanted to defile my corpse?' he cursed in his heart as he looked to his eldest sister. When Anthony saw the little bunny's expression, he felt depressed. 'That look of mockery…. Damnit, if only I was strong enough, the giant lizard cried inside his heart.

"Good idea Dun", Davida walked close to the giant lizard. A red magic circle appeared on top of her staff before a fire materialised inside of it. "Fire Blast!" Davida chanted. 'Damnit! I don't really want to use this here, but' Anthony glanced at his eldest sister, 'If I don't do it, I'll get killed anyway', the lion-headed lizard thought. As the fire got close, the giant lizard eyes flashed, 'Lizard Escape Art, Shedding Skin Technique', he said inside his head. Another giant lizard's body emerged from the old one, but this one doesn't have fur, and its tail was a little short. When the fire hit Anthony's old skin, the giant lizard quickly activated his camouflage abilities to blend in with his surroundings before escaping to the ceiling.

Davida, Diane, and even Duncan, who had the best senses amongst them, did not manage to notice the giant lizard escaping. They thought that Davida's spell burned the giant lizard as its carcasses were burned charred-black after the fire and smoke dissipate. When Diane and Duncan saw the burned body of the giant lizard, they breathe a sigh of relief. Not Davida though, she still felt that something was amiss but decided not to dwell on it. "Let's go!" Davida said, gesturing to her companions to follow her. Diane and Duncan nodded, proudly following their young miss.

While Davida, Diane and Duncan were rejoicing their victory, there was one man, well, not exactly man, but a male that was not happy with his situation. Anthony grumbled to himself, feeling saddened, depressed and humiliated. He even felt like sobbing to himself today, but he held it in; after all, he's a big boy. Then, Anthony felt something was patting his head. "There, there. Don't cry, big sis is here for you", the little bunny rubbed her little brother's furless lion head gently. Anthony sniffled; the little bunny gestures made Anthony wanted to cry even more.

The little bunny looked down, watching Davida and the others get close to Anthony's shredded skin. The red-haired girl took some samples from the burned carcasses before heading back together with the elf girl and the veteran to the laboratory. "Anthony, I got to go now. Be a good boy, okay? If you do, maybe I'll give you a reward someday", the little bunny patted the giant lizard on the head before swiftly hopping away.

Anthony breathes a sigh of relief, "Phew, finally she's gone…." he looked at himself, "Why did I agree to do this….." he lamented to himself.

I laugh, watching the Demon King eyes popped out, looking silly. "What is that bastard doing!? How can he lose so dumb and so easily? What did I raise that little bastard for?" The Demon King mald at the blue screen in front of him. Although I enjoy seeing the Demon King malding, I also thought it was strange that Davida, Diane and Duncan managed to easily win against the giant lizard.

"That rascal…. I'll teach him a lesson after this", the Demon King paused for a second, "Wait…." The Demon King rubbed his chin, "If THAT interfere, maybe…." The Demon King shudders, "Fuck!" he cursed. "Is my fate the same as Anthony later?" the Demon King looked at the giant screen, scared for his dignity.

Looking at the imposing black silhouette pace around the throne room, I became curious. I still did not know what or who can cause the legendary Demon King to feel afraid. I rolled my eyes before continuing to meditate.

Diane opened the giant metal door with her vines, and inside, she found the little bunny cutely raising her hand. Diane immediately picked the little bunny up before cuddling her, "Where did you go, little one?" The little bunny just let herself be cuddled as she put her hand on Diane's head. The little bunny then managed to slip out from Diane's hug and hop towards Davida.

Davida crouched down, "Hello, little one, where did you go? We're worried about you…." Davida said, using her hand to pet the little bunny. The little bunny extends her hand and pat Davida in the head. After the little bunny patted Davida's head, she proceeds to hop at Duncan. "Hmm? What do you want?" Duncan asked. The little bunny tilted her head, looking directly at Duncan's eye.

Duncan raised his eyebrow, "What? Do you want me to crouched down?" The little bunny nodded, answering Duncan's question with a *kyun*. Duncan humour the little bunny by crouching down. The little bunny patted Duncan's head too before hopping away towards Diane.

Diane picked up the little bunny, and after watching the little bunny gesture, she looked at the little bunny with soft eyes, "Thank you for the praise, little one!" Diane hugged the little bunny tightly. At first, the little bunny like the hug from Diane, but after a while, the little bunny felt suffocated by the elf lady huge breast. "Kyun, Kyun", the little bunny let out a desperate plea as both Davida and Duncan chuckled at their antics.

"Haha…. Right, now let's go insert the white orb into the podium, shall we?" Davida suggested. Duncan nodded while Diane was busy playing with the little bunny. Davida walked towards the podium and inserted the white orb into the slot inside. After waiting for a while, Davida and Duncan tensed up, but nothing happens. "Damnit, I forgot!" Davida facepalmed herself, "I need to reveal the orb pattern first."

Davida took out the orb and proceeded to wash the orb on the sink. When she did, the lustre from the white orb brightens, and its pattern was revealed. A beam of light shot up from the podium, and the podium itself lights up with bright light. This surprised Duncan and Diane, who's playing with the little bunny. Davida inserted the now bright white orb into the podium.

After she inserted the orb, the light brightens up even more, nearly blinding Davida, Duncan and Diane while the little bunny looked with interest. After the light dissipates, Davida and the others finally regain their vision a little bit. "Wait, what's going on? Why is the room shaking?" Diane held the little bunny tightly. "Hang on!" Davida shouted while holding on to a nearby table while Duncan used his enormous strength to stabbed his greatsword to the ground, holding it firmly.

The giant metal door shakes, then something unthinkable happens. The laboratory's wall rumbled heavily then the wall begin to slowly move. The wall slowly rotated, followed by the room. "Kya!" Davida scream as her hand holding the table slipped out. However, when Davida's about to hit the ground, a vine catches her in the air, holding her steady. "Thanks, Di!" Davida said, sweating.

Diane that stood in the middle of the room thanks to her vines nodded, "No problem", she cheerfully said. Then, Diane extended one of her vines towards Duncan, "Here you go, Dun", she offered. Duncan grabs the vine before pulling out his greatsword from the ground, "Thanks, Di", Duncan said. The little bunny glanced towards Davida and Duncan, then to Diane and giggled. To the little bunny, the sight of three people getting grabbed by giant vines inside of a spinning room was a little bit hilarious.

After a while, the room stopped spinning. The laboratory equipment that was previously here is now on the ceiling while the giant metal door stood inverted in front of them. Diane undoes her spell, causing the trio to fall down to the ground. "Ouch, ouch", Diane rub her butt in pain, "So, it's done now, right?"

"Probably", Davida said. She looked at the inverted metal door, then back towards her party member, "Before we proceed, let's rest for a few minutes."
