Sheng Yuan's brows furrowed slightly. He then turned towards Wu Huang and asked, "Wu Huang, what is your opinion on this matter?"

Wu Huang remained indifferent as he responded, "The strong shall eat the weak. If he loses, his life is mine. But if he wins, I won't pursue the matter any longer. Is that acceptable?"

Sheng Yuan was inwardly impressed after hearing Wu Huang's words, and his impression of him improved even further.

Just as Sheng Yuan was about to give his approval, Core Elder Zhang hurriedly suddenly interjected, "Palace Master this might not be a good idea. Lin Tian has already been at the early stage Heaven Gate Realm for a few months while Wu Huang had just broken through to late stage Qi Nourishing Realm."

Right after Core Elder Zhang finished his sentence, a burst of murmuring could be heard from the disciples nearby.

"A 12 year old Late Stage Qi Nourishing Realm? That's practically unheard of."

"Yeah. Even the first chosen of Saint Palace, Jiang Taishen, only reached the Qi Nourishing Realm when he was 13. Much less late stage!"

"He truly is worthy of the Sacred Dragon Blessing ah!"

Ignoring the noise, Sheng Yuan was surprised by Core Elder Zhang's actions and took a deeper look at him, then said, "Is Core Elder Zhang suggesting that we ignore this matter?"

Core Elder Zhang's heart tightened inexplicably but managed to squeeze out a smile on his face as he said, "The Palace Master is joking, Wu Huang is our Palace Master's guest, how would I dare to wrong him? What I'm saying is that since this matter is not entirely Lin Tian's fault, shouldn't we mete out a light punishment on Lin Tian? After all, Lin Tian had no idea that Wu Huang is our Palace Master's guest! Moreover, Lin Tian merely wanted to maintain Palace Master's prestige, and was only impolite to Wu Huang because of that. This is understandable."

After listening to Core Elder Wu, the Palace Master thought for a moment before finally saying "Let the younger generation solve their own problem. There is no need for us elders to interfere. Don't you agree, Core Elder Zhang?"

Nodding his head, Core Elder Zhang bowed respectfully towards Sheng Yuan, signalling his approval. He didn't want to risk offending the Palace Master just for a disciple of his.

"Great. Lin Tian, there is no need for you to hold back. As for Wu Huang, if you manage to beat Lin Tian, I'll allow you to choose any technique from the Saint Palace."

Hearing this, everyone could tell that the Palace Master was favouring Wu Huang, yet they did not say anything. From the time Lin Tian offended Wu Huang, his fate had already been sealed!

Before Lin Tian could finish his npc dialogue, Wu Huang immediately released his Genesis Qi and used it to attack Lin Tian.

The Genesis Qi around Wu Huang was a beautiful blood-gold and gave off a domineering and regal aura.

Seeing that Wu Huang didn't even bother listening to him, Lin Tian's intense rage turned to laughter as the killing intent in his eyes surged to even greater heights

With a thought, Genesis Qi also began to gush out of Lin Tian's Qi Dwelling and swirled around his body.

His Genesis Qi was translucent, but slivers of black-blue could be seen swimming within it. His Genesis Qi gave off a forceful aura. It was the strongest Genesis Qi Technique on the island, grade 4 Genesis Qi, Ocean Metal Qi.

At the center of the island, gaze after gaze converged on the two individuals facing each other at the bottom. When they saw the two different Genesis Qi, whispers began to spread.

"That Wu Huang should be at the Late Stage Qi Nourishing Realm right? He seems to have cultivated a top tier genesis qi technique. His battle power will definitely be very impressive."

"But Lin Tian had already broken through to the Heaven Gate Realm and has cultivated the Grade 4 Genesis Qi, Ocean Metal Qi. Both Genesis Qi seems to be of the same level."

While they whispered, a mix between gloating and pity was present in their eyes as they looked towards Lin Tian's figure.

"You! What is your Genesis Qi cultivation method?"

"Won't you find out once you have a taste?" Wu Huang's voice was emotionless.

"Arrogant!" Lin Tian laughed chillingly. Iciness flashed in his eyes as he pushed off the ground with the tip of his foot. Cracks spread as his figure swiftly shot towards Wu Huang in a flash of blue light.

Lin Tian had made his move.

An ocean blue silhouette rapidly expanded in Wu Huang's eyes. However, the only response to Lin Tian's ferocity was a faint glimmer in Wu Huang's eyes. He did not choose to avoid the attack, his body remaining on the spot as the pulsations from Genesis Qi around him grew more and more violent.

"Fool, you're courting death!"

Upon seeing Wu Huang's lack of movement, a cold look flashed in Lin Tian's eyes. He was a Heaven Gate Realm expert and had even cultivated a grade 4 Genesis Qi, facts granting him practically complete superiority over Wu Huang. Hence, facing Lin Tian in a head-on clash was akin to courting death for Wu Huang.

Boom!

Lin Tian threw a punch, fist-winds rumbling like thunder as blue Genesis Qi shuddered, while the sound of metal clanging against metal seemed to echo. The punch screamed of unyielding forcefulness, and even a boulder would be shattered to dust by it.

Wu Huang took in a deep breath, iciness flitting across his eyes as his five fingers curled and a fist was thrown forward.

He wanted to test just how powerful his Blood-Gold Genesis Qi.

Bang!

The fists of both individuals collided as a shockwave swept outwards, blowing up the dust on the ground.

They were only locked in place for a few breaths, before Wu Huang's body was jerked backwards, his soles stepping several times on the ground before managing to forcibly steady his body. However, the Qi and blood in his body continued to churn violently.

"Early stage Heaven Gate Realm with grade 4 Genesis Qi is indeed formidable."

Wu Huang's five fingers unfurled, as pain faintly echoed throughout his arm, a sign that he had been hurt. It was obvious that he had somewhat underestimated Lin Tian's power.

However...

Wu Huang raised his head and looked towards Lin Tian, who was a dozen steps away. The latter should not be feeling too good either because during their bout, he had launched a sneak attack on his soul.

The only reason why Wu Huang allowed Lin Tian to speak so much was because he was coating his [Spirit Thorn] with his Sacred Dragon Qi.

The [Spirit Thorn] is a High Xuan Grade Yuan Technique that condenses the spirit into the shape of a needle that can attack the enemy's soul. However, this technique is only useful against cultivators below the illusory Realm.

Following the activation of the [Spirit Thorn], the spot between Wu Huang's brows flashed as a long needle made from a strand of Spirit shot out. The long Spirit needle pierced through the cloud of dust and headed straight for Lin Tian.

Lin Tian immediately sensed the Spirit needle the moment it shot towards him and the expression in his eyes instantly sunk. 'A Spirit attack? How can Wu Huang's Spirit be so strong?!'

Even the current him could not perform Spirit attacks.

Yet he was unable to dodge it due to their close range.

Though he was bewildered, Lin Tian did not dare to tarry. Although the Spirit attack might not seem imposing and was unable to do any damage to the body, its destructive power to the Spirit was extremely great.

Once one's Spirit was hurt, it would be even more difficult to recover than a physical wound.

Thus, Lin Tian immediately used his movement technique to create distance. His Spirit was activated and entrenched itself between his brows, creating multiple layers of defence.

A faint sound was heard as a strand of Spirit power was directed to Lin Tian's eye. Lin Tian could now see a long Spirit needle drill its way out of the dust and shoot straight towards his head.

Stabbing pain could be felt from between his brows as his expression grew increasingly grave. The Spirit needle was sharp and had managed to penetrate the layers of his Spirit defence he had set-up.

Lin Tian used his Spirit to continuously grind away at the sharpness of the Spirit needle. A short while later, he suddenly dispersed his defences with a thought.

"Success!"

However, the moment this sinister smile emerged on his face, a loud sound was transmitted into his ear. Subsequently, the scenery before his eyes rapidly changed as he found himself in an endless starry sky.

Rumble!

This sudden turn of events caused Lin Tian's expression to change drastically as a rumbling sound thundered. He raised his head and was swiftly overwhelmed by inconsolable terror when he saw an infinitely stretching Golden Dragon slowly appear. A shadow that could cover the heavens descended as the behemoth hurled towards him.

Endless dread surged in Lin Tian's heart.

The titanic dragon crushed downwards and there was nothing he could do to resist as he felt his Spirit being smashed to pieces.

Crack!

A faint cracking sound emerged from between Lin Tian's brows, marking the shattering of his spirit as an icy chuckle left Wu Huang's mouth.

AAH!

When Wu Huang shattered Lin Tian's spirit, a miserable shriek suddenly rang out nearby.

The shriek immediately drew the attention of everyone watching the fight. Subsequently, they were appalled to see Lin Tian's figure start to shake before ultimately falling onto the floor, unconscious.

"How is this possible?" Core Elder Zhang's expression abruptly changed. His face was steely-green as he stared at the trembling Lin Tian that had fallen unconscious.

"How did an early stage Heaven Gate Realm cultivator get instantly defeated by a Late Stage Qi Nourishing Cultivator?!"

This baffled everyone. They were clearly unable to understand how he became like this.

"This is... Spirit injury?" Core Elder Zhang's expression immediately changed when he saw Lin Tian's appearance.

"Despicable! You cheated!" Core Elder Zhang immediately pointed at Wu Huang and shouted.

"Cheated?" Wu Huang sneered and said, "If I'm not wrong, Palace Master told us to not hold anything back right? How would I know that piece of trash couldn't even defend from a simple Soul Attack. How pathetic."

"Besides, he has a higher cultivation base and better Yuan Techniques than me. It would be stupid of me to fight him head on. Use your head old man."

Core Elder Zhang's face turned steely-green when he heard Wu Huang's words, while fire practically spit from his eyes. However, he could not say even a single word in rebuttal because the truth was already more than clear. Wu Huang also had the Palace Master protecting him.

In the end, Core Elder Zhang said nothing and only brought the unconscious Lin Tian away. Wu Huang didn't plan on pursuing the matter anymore anyways. Lin Tian was basically mentally retarded at this point and it would be considered good if he can even put his clothes on by himself.
