3. Nightmare

Several hundred years later...

In a dark alley, a young man is standing confused. He didn't know where he was standing now, only the damp air greeted him at that moment. After a long time, he could finally see a glimmer of light in the dimness at the end of the hall. He thought it was the way out to his house, without thinking he started walking slowly down the hall towards the direction of the light.

But when he got there, what he saw was not what he expected. It was not a house that he saw, but a very dark forest that he had never seen before. It seems that the dark passage is like a passage of time that leads him to a past life in a different world. Because from the mouth of the passage, he could see a pitch-black forest, Billy thought maybe this was the Black Forest in Germany. When he was still living in Germany, Billy often camped around the Black Forest, Billy still knew little about the state of the black forest.

The man was getting more and more confused, he didn't know where he was now, all he knew was that in Singapore there was no forest like that.

Not long after, Billy saw a very beautiful woman, she was wearing all black. But wait, it seems she is not an ordinary human. Billy could see the sharp fangs that the woman had. Billy was amazed to see the beauty of the werewolf woman, but a second later suddenly the woman plunged a knife into her heart, blood rushing from the woman's chest. Not only that but Billy was also shown to a man who was being severely tortured by several tall men with thick hair all over his body, right in front of the woman. But what Billy saw the man was not a werewolf-like them, he looked like a normal human. As a doctor who always upholds the safety and lives of humans, even though he knows that they are not ordinary people, his heart is still moved to stop what Billy saw. His chest hurts, his pride is like being trampled when he sees humans being treated like animals by werewolves.

Billy tried to run, but he couldn't move his legs. Then he screamed for help, but his throat was choking. Even though he just wanted to stop the savagery.

"Oh, let go! I have to help her!! The woman could bleed a lot, the man could also die if you tortured him like that," shouted Billy after trying to put all his strength into it.

"Billy! Billy wakes up, boy. What's wrong with you? Billy!" someone came at just the right time, shaking his body so he could wake up quickly.

Billy opened his eyes, still half-awake he looked around the room. It turned out that he was in his favorite room, not that strange dark forest, nor was there anyone being tortured, there was only a middle-aged woman who looked very anxious at his bedside.

"Mammy," Billy muttered.

"Billy, did you have another nightmare?" April asked.

Billy answered with a nod of his head, his heart still beating fast with the ragged breathing from the nightmare.

"Oh my gosh, I was surprised to hear that. Here you drink first to calm down." April held out a glass of water while helping Billy to get up.

Billy wiped the sweat from his face with both hands, trying to catch his breath to calm down a bit. Then he took the glass offered by his mother.

"Are you still dreaming the same thing? Dream of being in the Black Forest, a beautiful werewolf woman committing suicide, and a man being tortured?" April asked.

Again Billy just nodded.

"Oh my, why don't you want to continue treatment at the psychiatrist? I told you that you haven't fully recovered yet, Billy." April grumbled. As a mother, she must have been very worried because of her son's disorder.

"I'm fine, Mom. It was just a dream, after all, Mammy also heard it herself at that time, the doctor said I was fine. I haven't any problem," said Billy.

"But still, Bill. I am worried."

"Don't worry. I'm okay, Mom. After all, it's useless to consult various psychiatrists for several years since I was a child, but where? No changes whatsoever. The proof until now I still often dream like that. So, Mammy doesn't worry, I can handle this myself." Billy looked indifferent.

As someone who is very realistic, Billy knows that what he's going through really doesn't make sense. Because it is impossible for anyone to always dream the same thing for years. But Billy himself was at his wit's end to find the answer. Since childhood, he was often taken to various psychiatric doctors, psychiatrists, and the like. Only to find out the cause of the strange dream he was having. A lot of time and money had been spent on it until Billy himself was tired and decided to stop all his medication. Even though Billy's parents are rich, they are still able to pay for his treatment.

"Billy, I'm sorry, I don't know why you went through all this. Even though you were born normally, you grew up normally, but somehow when you were about 7 years old you started waking up often in the middle of the night because of bad dreams. At first, I thought it was just an ordinary dream, but it turns out that you always dream the same thing even now when you are 23 years old." April said quietly as she took Billy's hand.

"No, Mom. It's not your fault, it's destiny for me. I'm sure, one day I'll be able to find the answer to all those dreams. Maybe it's just not the time," said Billy. He smiled back to calm his beloved woman.

"Thank you, honey."

"Don't mention it, Mom."

The mother and daughter hugged each other so tightly, implying the sincere affection between the two.

"Are you going to the hospital, Billy?" April asked after letting go of her arm.

"Yes, Mom. Anyway, Daddy wants to go to the hospital too right?" Billy asked back.

"Did you forget that Daddy had already left for Germany to check the reports from our hospital that was there," answered April.

Immediately Billy slapped his forehead, "Oh my gosh, I forgot. That means I'm going to the hospital myself today."

"Yeah, don't forget that while Daddy is in Germany you have to replace Daddy's position to lead the hospital. Agree, Doctor Billy?" April smiled seductively at her only son who has now become a great and handsome young doctor.

"Ready, Mama." Billy teased his mother back.

"Okay, hurry up and take a shower. I'll be waiting at the dinner table," April said before she left Billy's room.

After his mother died, Billy immediately got ready to go to the hospital because there must have been a lot of patients waiting for him there. Billy didn't want to think too much about the dream, because he was sure that one day the veil of the dream that had always haunted him would open itself at the right time. Although now all of that is still a big puzzle in his life.
