I am immortal though??

It was a quiet day on the streets of New Hindenburg, nothing new.

Reynold enjoyed this town, not the first he had seen, but the most technologically advanced.

You see, Reynold has been infatuated with technology recently, and it hasn't gotten old as quickly as some of his other "hobbies" got. There were always more things to explore and it never ends.

Reynold has been alive for more than 500 years, yes, you heard that right, 500 years, with no signs of getting old at all, and he has been spending this time studying various things, such as mathematics, computers, weapons, and... history? well, not history in its literal sense, more like tactics throughout history. He doesn't need to study history, he has lived through almost 5 centuries of it anyway.

The only thing that Reynold hasn't experienced though, was the feelings of love. He had a family, but they grew old and died, and he had a spouse, but she grew old and died, he outlived everyone he ever cared about, and he isn't too proud of it, I mean, who would.

He started to think that maybe he should commit suicide, I mean, what is the point of life anyway? There is no excitement, there's only, emptiness, really, the first 200 years was quite fun, exploring all of the new things that he now had time for, but now, he was almost done with the technology anyway, and the advancements in technology literally cannot keep up with his consumption.

Reynold's "Immortality" is not actual immortality, it is merely the inability to grow old, this means that he can still die by, for example, a bullet wound or, maybe, you know, a 100mm sniper bullet propelled by a railgun at the speed of light penetrating the brain, and there was no way that that would ever happen, Reynold wasn't the type of person to anger anyone, right?

Just a passing thought.

Reynold turned the corner near 5th street and looked up at the sky, and he saw it.

There was a man dressed in a black combat vest with blue streaks in it.

Ah yes, the type VI sniper armor, was it?

Wait, sniper armor?

Just as Reynold's brain started processing the information, a 100mm sniper bullet propelled by a railgun at the speed of light shot through it.
