Of Course I Become Stronger By Myself !

A bald headed man was standing by the corner of the living room scoffing at Genos's belief that he will be undefeated.

"Huh ! Why should I fight him ?", Saitama asked as he chugged down the last bit of the soft drink called fat house water.

Duke didn't say anything to Saitama but turned around to look at Genos and said, "Genos take out your apprenticeship fee for Saitama to see.".

Genos was taken aback for a moment before he took out stacks and stacks of cash. A pile of bank notes was placed on the coffee table in the living room. Genos said in an embarrassed tone, "Sorry I was in a hurry, this was all I could carry when I came here.".

Saitama stood up, smiled and said, "Genos hurry up, time is is money. Let's make this a quick fight.".

The confident Saitama and the confident Genos both push the apartment door open and walked out. Then about a minute later... a loud explosion could be heard from downstairs. And about one minute later after the explosion, Saitama came back with a dejected look while Genos was smiling.

"How is it Genos ? Do you feel that Saitama is strong ? Next time don't judge people based on their appearance. Underestimating the enemy is your biggest shortcoming. You should know that Saitama is the strongest person in the universe.", Duke said as he patted Genos's shoulder.

Saitama was very cooperative in Duke's generous assessment. Saitama puffed out his chest and put his hands on his hips looking like superman.

Genos gritted his teeth and knelt down in front of both Duke and Saitama and said, "Teacher Saitama I am sorry for my previous rudeness. I ask that the two teachers to accept me as a disciple.".

Whoa ! Is this the Genos I know ? So humble ? Where did you put your face ? Oh I forgot, Genos is a cyborg and his face is made out of leather. Hmm... accepting Genos as a disciple if Saitama accept him as a disciple is not a bad idea... I will get money for not doing anything. And that bald head can train him while I lie back and collect money... Duke thought to himself.

Duke looked indifferent while Saitama calmly accepted Genos apprenticeship while saying he would not take offence to Genos's insult earlier. Duke later appeared to reluctantly accept Genos as an apprentice.

Genos is a smart person. After Saitama and Duke accepted him as an apprentice, Genos quickly served tea to Saitama and Duke.

"Saitama sense can you teach me the secret to becoming stronger ? Please sir, I have an urgent reason to becoming stronger.", Genos asked pleadingly to Saitama.

Although Genos was defeated by Saitama in one move, which was Saitama's normal punch. Genos never thought that even if he fought teacher Saitama again that he could beat him. Because Genos clearly realised that Saitama's normal punch was so powerful that the gap between him and Saitama was not the gap between heaven and earth but the gap between a whole other dimension apart.

Saitama's face suddenly became serious after hearing Genos's question.

"Genos since I accepted you as my disciple, I will never hide my secret of becoming stronger from you. Now I will tell you my secret of becoming stronger.", Saitama said seriously.

"There is no short cut to becoming stronger. Only by perseverance can you become stronger. Remember, 100 push ups, 100 sit ups, 100 squats, run 10 kilometres. All of these you have to do daily. That's how I became so strong within 3 years.", Saitama said as he recalled his past.

"Also, eat three meals a day daily, never miss out on a meal. And eat a banana during breakfast. Remember in order to strengthen your body and mind do not turn on the heater when it's cold or turn on the air conditioner when it's hot.", Saitama said while recalling his past.

Duke felt extremely upset inside, he tried Saitama's method of strengthening himself a few years ago when he was still a teenager, it definitely didn't work for Duke. And Duke thought since Genos is a cyborg these exercise methods definitely would not make Genos stronger. The human body can become stronger through exercise but metal will wear out if you exercise too much.

If Genos wanted to get stronger he should follow the example of the Marvel Universe's Tony Stark the Iron Man. The first step to becoming stronger would be to become the richest man in the world. As long as there us enough money Genos would be able to upgrade his body indefinitely. Duke thought to himself.

"Teacher Saitama, please don't joke with me. I worship you as a teacher to get your advice on becoming stronger and not hear this kind of joke." Genos said respectfully. Genos felt his IQ had dropped several notches from hearing Saitama's advice on getting stronger.

"Even if you say that, I don't have any other method to becoming stronger." Saitama said nonchalantly.

Duke came over at the right time to prevent Genos from going on the wrong path and wasting 3 years of his life.

"Genos, what Saitama meant is that you must persevere even during difficult times in order to get stronger. Even when you are sleeping Saitama is still training to get stronger.", Duke said.

After hearing Duke's explanation Genos appeared more calm.

"Then teacher Duke, what is your secret in getting stronger ?", Genos asked curiously.

"My secret to getting stronger ...", Duke said as he thought back to his past. Duke could hardly say that when ever he slept he would meet up with other Dukes from different multiverses and that they would exchange powers, memories and abilities. Of course he became stronger by himself and by himself he meant with the cooperation of all the different Dukes reincarnated into other multiverses.

Duke touched his chin and pondered for a moment before he said, "Genos, I won't waste words with you. You only need to know that the reason I am so strong is because I depend on myself. The only way to become strong is to rely on yourself.".

"Teacher Duke, I understand what you mean. I will definitely work hard.", Genos replied respectfully.
