Reincarnating after the apocalypse

The apocalypse ended and mankind came out on top! Sadly, most of mankind would rather face the zombies again. Why? Because it wasn't the end! Rifts appeared in all major human cities. All of them with a countdown of seven days. Each day adding more unease and fear into humanity all the way until the last second where... nothing? I got reincarnated back two months before the apocalypse right as the countdown hit zero so I wouldn't know anyway. This is my first story so expect a couple of grammar mistakes here and there along with general issues that come along with inexperience. This is an zombie-apocalypse novel with a sprinkle of greek mythology. I do hope to produce the best novel I can so if you have some spare constructive feedback then please share it with me.

The maid

Wow. So this is why people get girlfriends, huh? I've never seen my place so clean before. Funny thing is that I had everything here, we didn't have to go to the supermarket to buy anything.

I wouldn't believe this to be my own house two days ago. Windows so clean you could barely see them, the floor so clean from dirt, dust and random stuff that it looks like I have company over twice a day. The walls so washed free from sweat it makes the whole room smell like air-freshener naturally. Who is this super maid and how can I hire her?

Even she looked proud of what she had accomplished as a smug look had emerged on her face.

"I really am awesome, huh?"

"I don't wanna admit it but you're right."

"Alright, do you wanna grab a seat before we talk?"

"Sure"

As I exhaustedly plop down on the couch I start quietly planning out the conversation. She'll most likely wonder about the contents of the letter and it's believability, how (in the case of it being believable) she should prepare and lastly why I sent it to her in the first place.

"So are you gonna pay me or what?"

...what?

"I mean I just did a few hours of labour for you and not to brag but I did that labour pretty well."

"..."

After getting her number and sending about 50 dollars over we finally got onto the main topic. As I previously guessed the conversation went along the previously mentioned topics. Of course I don't mention that I basically reincarnated. What really stunned me however was the fact that she asked to train with us.

"I mean I don't fully believe you and I'm still gonna go to my job and do other things but I'm thinking I can drop by after work sometimes. Even if the apocalypse doesn't happen I can always see it as a good oppurtunity to lose weight and get fit."

After thinking about it her approach is pretty smart. She won't lose anything by training here with us part-time whether the apocalypse happens or not. The only downside is that if the apocalypse does happen she won't be as prepared as she could've been.

"Sure, I don't mind. As long as you clean for us in exchange."

"Deal."

After I see her out we go back to our training montage. The only thing that's different is that we now have extra company occasionally arriving and as a result my apartment is actually habitable.
