An evil spirit

Alex shrugged as he managed to get up from Emma's hold. He spat an amount of blood from his mouth into the ground and finally rested his back against the stone.

Both Emma and Kael watched him subtly change position as they waited for him to start talking about the words he had left handing in the hair as if he was expecting them to figure out the meaning of whatever he had said by themselves.

"What do you mean it wasn't Kael who had attacked you?" Emma finally asked as she could not contain her curiosity anymore.

"It really wasn't him." Alex managed to say again as he looked sideways to give Emma a small look in the eyes.

Emma rolled her eyes and let out a sigh exasperatedly. She was going to blow up if Alex didn't emphasize better on what he meant by 'It wasn't Kael who had attacked him'.
