Chapter 143

The next day and the 7th day of the Nine School Competition.

As anyone would expect, Tsubaki won the Newcomer Crowd Ball easily. Even though she had a formidable enemy named Isski Airi, a third-grade student, Aira specialized in a spell called Lightning, but not the element type that Akeno uses. This lightning spell that she uses makes her perceive information that can be recognized and directly used without intervention from the brain and nervous system in order to directly move the body and spirit. In simple terms, she can make herself look like she is moving fast, but in the end, she is just moving forward like she had some kind of downgrade elemental sight or Sharingan.

Unlucky for Airi though, Oreki and the Co. are here in this world. So instead of winning the Crowd Ball event, Tsubaki won it for the Second High. The same can be said for the previous events or games; if Oreki and his group hadn't been here, the players they matched up against would have won the events. Their efforts despite the odds are commendable and should be looked up to by the younger generations of this world.

"You took another woman to a date before taking me to one?" Akeno pouted.

"That's a low blow; you took her virginity before taking her to date?" Valerie added fuel to the fire.

"I didn't have a choice; fate pushed me to do it," Oreki replied before looking to Valerie. "And stopped gaslighting her." He said, and Valerie just did the TeeHee expression.

Kiba and Minoru chuckled lightly.

"You could have promised her to go on a date after we go on a date first," Akeno said with sound logic.

"This is her world, so I took her on a date first before you, and it's much better to go out in our world than this, you know?" Oreki retorted.

"Then why did you take Rias to a dinner date?" Akeno retorted back.

"That was her romantic idea, and you only had that hot spring sex in mind at the time," Oreki retorted with a smile. At that time, before the speed shooting event, she emphasized to him that she only wanted that hot spring scenario that she had been dying to do. So he gladly gave it to her, but when she went the wind of the dinner between him and Rias, she had been demanding a date from him nonstop. It only amplifies her demand to take her out for a date after he told her that he had gone on a date with Mayumi yesterday.

Hearing what Oreki said, Akeno gave him a pouting face that was almost crying with fake tears. "Fine, we'll go on a dinner date tonight," he said, sighing, but why was he sighing, he asked himself. This is his responsibility—to make every girl in his harem happy and satisfied. 

Akeno then hugged Oreki's arm in joy, but her skin shivered after hearing from Oreki that she should be prepared for what comes next after the dinner date tonight. She then remembered Rias, who was not with them that day because she was still recovering from the night she and Oreki embraced each other in bed for the first time. 

"Please don't do what you did to Rias to me," Akeno pleaded, but her blush and heartfelt eyes said the opposite.

"As expected of the wannabe Sadist," Valerie said, admiring Akeno's current demeanor of a submissive bitch. She promised herself that she wouldn't like that. The group laughed lightly hearing her.

"Blame my father for those genes," Akeno said.

"Speaking of your father, did your parents meet yet, if I remember correctly, you said Shuri-san would visit him at the start of the school term," Oreki said as he held his chin as if he were trying to remember what he said was right.

"Mother backed off and said that she is not prepared yet," Akeno said with a shrug. "Though she did say after we come back home. Father is probably home at that time," she added with a smile while imagining their happy family dinner with Oreki if possible. Jesus, I feel guilty about this.

"Or maybe Shuri-san just wanted out of the so make a new sibling without interruption from you," Oreki smirked knowingly about the possibility of that happening. Akeno wanted to retort but shut up, and she silently agreed eventually before talking about the planned date they would do.

Valerie, who was talking to Kiba and Minoru about the Gasper upcoming Battle Board event, saw a group that seemed to be looking for someone. "Oreki, Mayumi-chan, and her sisters are overlooking for you," she said.

Oreki and Akeno look at Mayumi and the Twins coming to them. "Mayumin," Oreki shouted, attracting the attention of the crowd, but when they saw it was him, they then ignored him because this was weird in their standard.

Mayumi's face flushed after getting called by Oreki her pet name made by him. Twins on the other hand, or to be precise, Kasumi, run to Oreki while calling him Aniki, like they have been known for as long as they have known Mayumi. "Kasumi really hates the Shippou Clan, or to be precise, she really hates people badmouthing their family, especially if their family's self-proclaimed rivals are the ones doing it," Oreki thought. Throwing the Shippou Clan to get on the good side of the Twins is a price he is willing to pay, and he didn't even pay it; he just threw them under the bus.

As for Izumi, Oreki thought about how to get on her good side, but he did not need to rush because Izumi seemed cool with him as long as he took care of her beloved Onee-sama. and the same could for Kasumi. Though he still needs to give Izumi something to satisfy her and also for Kasumi too, beating the Shippou boy is not enough.

Mayumi and Twins greeted Oreki and his group and vice versa.

The men's finals of the Battle Board for the Rookie Division are about to happen. As everyone expected, one of the finalists was from the second high, and it was none other than Gasper. At first, the audience wonders why a girl is on the men's part of the event, but the staff and the organizers confirm that Gasper is in fact a guy, because of this, the internet became infested by rule 34 Art of Gasper since this morning after his prelims. It seems the suppressed desire of adults and young men in this Japanese society seems to be leaking out again, especially the young, as Japan had a law against sex before marriage. 

However, this really already started after all the girls in Oreki's group were wearing sexy and attractive clothes that made the men drool. The only reason that the boys are not drooling now while they are near Oreki's group is because Oreki is making them ignore their group's existence if they have some lewd thoughts about his girls.

The JP Gov. then started cracking down on this art that disrupts the status quo to no avail; they can't stop it because, as the old saying says, cut one head, another two will grow from it.

Anyway, back to the Battle Board, the other finalist is a No Name Seventh High Student, but Seventh are expert in water-based because of their school location near the sea.

The audience cheered when the two finalists showed up carrying their boards. Gasper waved at the spectator with a smile, making his new fans shout, especially older ones who were into Shota action.

The blimp above the venue instructs them to quiet down.

and with the last horn being sounded, Gasper sped up forward, leaving the other student behind. The seventh-grade student tried to move forward as if it was stuck or glued to the surface of the water.

Gasper did not want to humiliate the guy as he dispelled the time stop when he applied to the board. However, it gave the opposite effect because the student kept applying magic to make the board move; he was caught off guard as the board suddenly moved forward, making him fall back into the water. The board keeps moving forward until it hits the first corner.

The guy swam towards the board; the current of the water was against him, and before he could even reach the board, his opponent, Gasper, had already finished.

With a loud honk from the siren, Gasper is declared the winner of the Newcomer Battle Board for the Men's category.

Mini interlude.

During the first day of the 9SC.

In a certain room, a man with long purple hair and golden eyes is kneeling. He is wearing a tailored black suit with a purple waistcoat and a blue cravat, which includes gloved hands and a white pocket square.

"What is your instruction, Master?" the man whose name is Zhou Gonjin asked as he looked at the skeleton with a hollow eye socket but the glowing fire inside of it that seemed to serve as an eye. The skeleton is sitting in front of him on a golden throne with exposed teeth. The figure is dressed in traditional, regal-looking attire, including a dark robe with a red sash and a headdress adorned with gold accents. At the back of its skeletal head are some kind of wires that connect it to the golden throne.

"Gonjin." The master said, "The Yotsuba is making a move to someone named Kamisato Oreki. I want you to capture this magician, if not kill him." The glowing eyes then dimmed down after saying that.

"As you wish, Master," said Gonjin with a smile.
