"You found her that fast? I'm impressed," Reed nodded his head. "So, where is she located?"
Kendall then took out a tablet from his bag that was right next to him and after using a few hand movements and taps on the tablet, Kendall gave the tablet Reed to look at. " Lillian Myers is located in a private warehouse on the outskirts of the city, a place not a lot of people go. An Ideal place to hide someone but they could've done better in my opinion."
On the screen of the tablet Reed was looking at, Reed could see images of the warehouse from different angles and sides of the warehouse. Some of the images showed entrances into the warehouse while other images had pictures of people guarding the warehouse.
"The security around this warehouse seems a little too much don't you think? Why would the need so many people to guard one hostage?" Reed asked as he looked at the images filled with guards. From what he was able to see, the number of people guarding the warehouse was about thirty or so people.
"I don't know," Kendall shrugged his shoulders. " Our operatives couldn't infiltrate into the warehouse to figure what they were protecting or keeping inside the warehouse due to the amount of people patrolling the warehouse. I think that whatever inside that warehouse, it's something really important to the Hexagrams that they are willing to spend that amount of manpower to be stationed there as guards."
Reed nodded in agreement," What are the Shades stationed at the warehouse doing right now?"
" The Shades stationed there right now should be keeping the warehouse and everything in a 200ft radius of the warehouse under surveillance. The moment they see anything strange, they'll report it immediately"
"Good," Reed handed back the tablet to Kendall. " I want it to stay that way until Aily and I get there."
Kendall took tablet from Reed and placed it back into his bag, " I'll be sure to tell the team surveying the warehouse immediately when immediately."
With Kendall finishing up all of his reports, Reed, Kendall and Aily were now able to speak about other things that didn't apply to work. It was soon after the second round of the competition started to begin as Reed and Aily left the cafeteria and went back to the gym.
In the second round, there were a total of 80 students left of the 160. In the second round was going to be the same as the first round. A traditional elimination round where two competitors would fight each other, with the one who won passing to the next round while the other who lost would be eliminated from the competition.
There were to be forty matches in the second round and the way of pairing up the competitor was by using a computer program that would pair the competitors randomly. As Reed stood patiently alongside side Aily, the randomly generated pairing list was shown on the big screen. From what Reed could see, he would fight in match 25 against a man named Larry Boris.
Knowing in what match and who he was going to face, Reed then looked to see who and when Aily would be fighting. After a few seconds of skimming the pairing, Reed found it. It stated Aily would fight in the 8th round against another girl named Cheyenne Boise.
Now that Reed knew when Aily and him were going to fight, all he had to do was just wait. As Reed watched round after round, he couldn't help but feel bored. Each match was not even one bit intense, it was just downright boring. It was only till he heard Aily name being called up did his interest perk up.
The only reason he would pay attention to this match was because it was Aily that was fighting. He wouldn't care about anyone else unless he had a decent relationship or better with that person.
The fight ended with Aily winning, something that Reed expected. It would be really hard to find someone to fight at Aily's level and it would be especially hard to find someone to fight Reed at their age.
As match after match passed, Reed was once again called up to the stage. There on the stage he saw Larry Boris, who was five foot seven with short brown hair. He looked somewhat muscular and his facial features looked close to an eighteen year old male rather than a fourteen year old male.
When Reed first saw Larry on the stage, he didn't think too much about his opponent until Larry looked at him with his cold eyes. When Reed saw those cold eyes, he couldn't help but feel a thin but present sense of danger.
"Did I just feel a tinge of danger from him?" Reed thought to himself. Reed was a Silver five, someone who would rank as a king among his peers. To feel danger from someone his age was truly unprecedented. Knowing that his opponents wan't going to be some weakling, Reed heightened his senses to the max, prepared for the slightest movement of his opponent.
"Fight!" The announcer shouted, commencing the fight.
With the fight between Larry and Reed officially starting, the air around the two became intense. As both of them stared at each other, awaiting for one another to take action the audience who were just a second ago dozing off were now watching them with full attention. The reason of this was the atmosphere changing.
It was at this moment Larry took action first and immediately sent a kick towards Reed's chest. Larry's kick was coming at a speed and strength Reed never expected he as immediately crossed his arms to defend himself, causing him to skid a few inches back.
Larry. not giving Reed a chance to recover then followed up with another kick to the right side of Reed's body, causing Reed to use his right arm to defend himself. The this time was no different from this last, fast and strong, causing Reed to grunt a little in pain. Larry didn't follow up another time, allowing Reed to recover his footing.
Reed's mind right now was jumbled up, not knowing what to think. He thought himself to be the top of his class, but right there in front of him, was someone who could fight on his level. It was only after a second did he calm down. Reed knew that it wasn't the time to panic now as he was in the middle of a battle.
He took a deep breath, and then looked at Larry with determination to win this fight. Larry on the other hand, when he saw that determined look, he couldn't help but smile on the inside. Before the match between him and Reed started, he thought that this fight would end after a single kick from him.
But there Reed was, still standing after taking two kicks. What Reed and Larry didn't know about each other was that the both of them were silver 5. They were king among their peers, but right now the two kings stood across from each ready to establish who was the true king.
