Prologue - 0

When I came to, I was standing in a long line that lead to a casino. Looking at my situation, I couldn't figure out how I had gotten here and was suspicious of everything. While I was sorting out my situation, a sudden thought struck me,

'Who am I'

I went to ask the person in front of me, but she just stared blankly into space and this was the same for everyone else in the line.

After thinking for a bit, my memories came back in full force and I gritted my teeth from the pain of it.

My name was Sho. I had been forcefully taken away from my parents at the age of 10 after the government realized I possessed strength and intellect that far out rivaled my peers, so from the ages of 10-21 I had been subjected through harsh training to become a spy for my country. I was proficient in many martial arts and I found out that I had even created my own type of martial arts that I had realized at the age of 28 was the best suited for my body.

I was also proficient in a number of weapons, but I remembered that my choice of position on missions was either a long-range sniper or an assassin.

I looked down at my body and saw the numerous scars and callouses from my training and started trying out some moves. Seeing that it came naturally to me and my body seemed to have these movements unconsciously memorized I became happy and then turned back to my memories.

It seemed that after some time serving and at that point becoming the perfect spy, infiltrating dozens of countries and killing more than a thousand high-ranking people, I soon became disgusted with myself after realizing the horrors that I had done.

In the end I had become a legendary figure in my country and infamous around the world, but I was declining seeing how I turned 60 last year.

I then turned my attention back to my surroundings as I had gotten closer to the doors of the casino named "Life's Bet".

Suddenly my final memories hit me.

"I was sooooo bored"

I had become bored of the world that I had lived in, seeing that through my training as a spy on my countless mission I had experienced what I had perceived as everything that the world could give me. I had indulged in money, women, and drugs, but after a while nothing could satiate my mind anymore.

I had devoured every single manga, manwha, light novel, book, short story, movie, TV show, and anime that had ever been created.

I had gone crazy trying to find ways to satiate my bored mind but I quickly exhausted all of the entertainment that could be given. I had been so bored that I had started torturing and killing people just to find some happiness.

After that gave me no pleasure anymore, and with many countries including my own banding up together to try to get rid of me as I had become uncontrollable, I realized that I had no more will to live and then committed suicide by jumping out of a plane with no parachute at sunrise, as I had wanted my last moments to be beautiful.

'So this means I'm dead!'

Coming to this conclusion I walked up and got to the casino doors. As I approached them they opened and a voice said

"Welcome to the world famous casino, Life's Bet!"

I nodded to myself and decided to walk through the doors as I had realized that this could give me the opportunity for some stimulation. I happily walked through the door, awaiting what was to come.
