Magic.

( Yuuki's POV )

Arriving at our destination, a forest not far from the city, we split up to complete both missions quickly, The girls went after the horned wolves while Sif and I went looking for lizardmen.

Since my signature weapon, my fusion sword was a living weapon and technically alive, I couldn't keep it in my storage, instead, I had a normal Buster sword for this situation.

Sif, the smart girl that she was, could also use the storage Materia, and in front of her appeared a long katana that she caught in her snout.

When we were both armed, we went deeper into the forest, and quickly we felt various presences around us, I could feel that these presences were hostile but I did not want to attack until I confirmed if they were our target, carefully without letting them know that we knew that they were there we kept walking, our enemies not wanting to waste a perfect ambush, jumped out of some bushes behind us, We quickly turned around and we could see that those were the lizardmen we were looking for, they had swords and shields but once again the threat was minimal.

We counterattacked and they tried to defend but my sword pierced through their shield easily and I impaled one of them while Sif cut the other in half, then six other lizardmen appeared, I threw the corpse impaled on my sword against another lizardman and Sif used her materia to shock two of them.

I was a bit surprised that I could almost understand what they were saying but still, I didn't let them get away, I created a water blade and slashed at the three retreating lizardmen.

Yuuki: Well, that was easy.

As the mission indicated, I collected some claws and fangs to confirm my kills.

Linze: [ Flame come forth, whirling spiral, firestorm. ]

After finishing my mission I met with the girls, who, like me, had no problems dealing with the horned wolves, also I arrived in time to witness Linze casting a spell, a magic circle appeared and a column of fire engulfed one of the wolves, her sister was fighting with some gauntlets and she defeated another wolf with a blow to the snout, she was stronger than she looked but that was to be expected in a minute with magic.

*Clap* *Clap* *Clap*

Yuuki: That was pretty good.

When they finished with their mission I applauded their skills and they looked at me surprised that I had finished so quickly, It seemed that they wanted to ask me some questions and I also had many for them but this was not the place for that.

After collecting our reward from the guild we return to the inn.

Elze: I can't believe you finished before us, who are you really Yuuki?

Yuuki: I'm not anyone special really, my fighting skills are just a little above average.

Haruhime: Yuuki... None of what you just said is true.

Elze: Yes, what she said.

Yuuki: Hehe Well the truth is I like to travel and knowing how to defend myself is essential.

Linze: That's why you decided to be an adventurer.

Yuuki: Exactly, you are a smart cookie, Linze.

Linze was somewhat shy and again she blushed with a single compliment.

Yuuki: Actually, I'm interested in magic too, do you think you could teach me how to use magic?

Lynze: huh? Didn't you use your magic before?

Elze: That's right, you used magic to take care of those guys from before, right?

Yuuki: Ooh! That, that was... magic from our home, different from what you used.

Linze: You are a little strange Yuuki.

Yuuki: Thank you!

Linze agreed to teach me and we moved behind the inn where we could practice without damaging anything.

Linze: Well Yuuki-san, do you have other attitudes besides water?

Yuuki: Attitude?

Elze: Your attitude dictates what kind of magic you can use, everyone has at least one attitude.

Yuuki: Of course, and how would I go about checking what attitude I have?

Linze handed me a bag that had some small colored crystals.

Linze: These are enchanted stones, just concert your magical energy and say [ water come forth ].

The stone released water like a faucet and Linze looked at me with a smile that said 'see' and she took a step back as I took the red stone that I assumed was fire.

Since we came to this world I noticed an unknown energy in the air, that must be magical energy and after spending a day here I must have something of it inside of me.

Yuuki: OK, I just have to say [ flame come forth ].

A small flame came out of the stone indicating that I had the flame attitude but after a second the flame grew until the stone couldn't take it anymore and broke.

Yuuki: Oh... I'm gonna pay for that.

From the look that the twins were giving me, that wasn't normal, but I kept trying the other stones, I took the wind stone, and this time I concentrated like when I use my Sekirei powers and also used much less energy and made a strong wind current came out of the stone.

I continued like this and was able to activate all the enchanted stones, I thought that my Sekirei abilities decided what kind of magic I could use but that theory failed when I activated the light and dark stones, this needs further investigation.

Linze: Yuuki-san who are you really?

Yuki: What? What did I do now?

Elze: You really don't know what you did?

Linze: I have three attitudes and that's rare, I've never heard of someone who has all the attitudes, much less someone who can use magic without a spell, that's… Unbelievable.

Yuuki: Well I don't know what to say but if you want to know who I am, how about we form a team?

Tsukiumi and Haruhime shot me a look and I told them with a look that I knew what I was doing.

Yuuki: I think we will be around for a long time and we would appreciate the company of someone trustworthy like you.

Elze: It really doesn't seem like you guys need the help but you are definitely intriguing, Let's team up!

We both smiled and we sealed the deal with a handshake.
