So once Kei finished explaining everything to Esdeath, Kei decided that he would go ahead, after all it would be a waste if all the elves died.
"itami, we'll go ahead." Kei said over the radio.
"It seems that you also noticed right?" Asked itami knowing the answer well.
"Of course, we also have to get there fast or there might be no survivors." Kei answered without thinking much.
"Sure, you can go first, after all, you're a one-person army." Itami said with some sarcasm.
To which kei didn't reply, but it was clear that he got the message, after all, Why would you let the person who can throw massive attacks without getting tired do nothing?
[Pov hodor Marceau]
'Run' was what Hodor repeated to himself, while with all his might he ran back to his village.
And although he always had the reputation of being a womanizer, he always cared sincerely for his daughter tuka, and it was for her that right now, he was desperately running towards his village, because, not long ago he learned that a fire dragon was heading toward the village.
And even after finding out about this, he decided to run as fast as possible to try to get Tuka out of that place and also to warn the other people in the village.
But for a little more context, I will explain a little about him, Hodor Marceau is the father of Tuka Luna Marceau. Tuka in the original story thought that he had disappeared after being rescued by the self-defense forces and although it actually seemed that he had already been killed by the fire dragon, it was later revealed that he was actually alive but he had amnesia due to a wound he received from the dragon.
And although his personality was not the best of all and the fact that he was a womanizer, it did not help his image at all, although this was compensated for by being one of the best archers, so not much was said about him, although what stood out the most, and what everyone knew, was that he cared for his daughter's wellbeing.
So no one blames him, after all it is normal for a father to worry about his daughter, so no one complained because even though he had a bad reputation he was still helping the village. (and let's say that would be the summary of hodor's life and although they didn't focus much on the details that's all we know from the wiki.)
So as he ran off into the distance he could see a great curtain of smoke rising across the sky, to which he decided to stop being careful about running and ran desperately towards the place after all in that direction was his village.
[End POV Hodor]
But as kei got ahead a conversation took place in the itami squad.
"Captain itami why did you let kei go alone?" asked Kuribayashi, after all even if he was someone strong, it was not wise to let him go alone, besides she completely forgot about the existence of esdeath and only asked about kei.
"Kuribayashi-chan do you think kei needs our help? and why do you call him by his name? isn't this the first time you've seen him?" asked itami after all it is not a normal thing for people who have recently met each other to call each other so intimately in Japanese culture.
"Captain itami don't call me that way it's disgusting" replied Kuribayashi completely ignoring itami's second question.
"Aaa" said itami while he rubbed his head "okay, but going back to your question do you really think he needs help?" Itami ask.
"No, I just think it is not the most prudent thing to do, after all this is a completely new world and we do not know what dangers it may have." Kuribayashi said.
"Well I think you are correct, but you have to understand something." itami said.
"If I'm right why did I let him go? and what do you mean I have to understand something?" asked kuribayashi.
"You are correct that it was not the best decision, but what you must understand is that we do not have to worry about him." Itami said, making Kuribayashi more confused.
"What do you mean, captain." Kuribayashi asked.
"Ahh" itami sigh and then continue "we don't have to worry about him, we have to worry about those who dare to get in his way, he is not normal, he is a monster in a person's body," he said seriously, while remembering how the enemy army was ravaged by kei and esdeath.
To which no one else spoke over the radio, because everyone was thinking about different things, for their part this talk was because kuribayashi and also kurokawa were not at the time when esdeath and kei showed their powers, because they along with some others arrived the next morning, just when the reconnaissance squads were created, so they could not witness the magnitude of the strength of kei and esdeath, they only knew because they were informed briefly and without many details, once they arrived at the camps.
But the information they gave them was nothing compared to what everyone else in the squad witnessed, so they decided to keep their mouths shut when they heard that Kei wanted to get ahead and they also kept quiet because they wanted to see what kind of expression they would have when they realized how strong kei is.
But going back to kei he was now close to reach the elves village after a 15 minutes trip, which could be crucial to save more elves, but to be honest we are talking about kei so he took a long time to arrive only to find the dragon about to throw a flame at tuka's father, who was moving away from the well, after having stuck an arrow in the dragon's right eye, so kei decided to help tuka's father a little bit.
'let's see mmm... I don't want to kill it because it will be useful later, so I'll use water to make it go away from here.' kei thought vaguely.
then kei only raised his hand and then pointed it in the form of a gun at the dragon, which was still preparing its attack on tuka's father while completely ignoring kei.
All this was happening while some of the elves that were still alive were trying to leave the place, only to suddenly stop and immediately turn their gaze to kei, who with his hand pointing in the form of a gun was concentrating the little moisture in the environment on the tip of his index finger, using his mana as a catalyst, which immediately created a ball of water the size of a car, and kei immediately spoke.
"I'm only leaving you alive because you'll be of use later, so for now this is a, goodbye." said kei followed by a sound he made with his mouth.
* bang *
Followed by a shooting gesture. (I don't know how to explain it better, I leave a gif)
The large ball of water immediately shot towards the dragon, which upon contact flew away, and then a great roar was heard due to the fall of the dragon, which generated a small tremor and then it could be seen how the dragon stood up and roared in pain and then flew away from the place.
* fuuu * blew the tip of his kei finger.
"I think I overdid it a little bit." said kei in a nonchalant manner.
"Yes, although I think killing him was a better idea, master kei." Esdeath said, now with more confidence without hiding her disagreement with letting the dragon go after all it could cause trouble in the future.
"don't worry about it esdeath, after all, it might come in handy in the future." replied kei in a cheerful manner after all esdeath was now being more open in giving her opinion more often.
But while they were talking as if nothing was happening around them, Tuka's father looked at Kei with wide eyes, he had saved him from his imminent death, because he could see how the dragon was starting to charge his breath of fire which meant certain death for him.
But on the other hand all the elves that were still alive, looked at Kei with admiration and one elf looked at him with a red face while it seemed as if she had forgotten that a few moments ago she was fleeing from a dragon.
And like her, two other soldiers who came to witness how kei took out a dragon from an attack, their mouths were open in a comical way without being able to believe what her eyes had just witnessed.
But leaving that aside, Kei noticed how everyone around him was looking at him, while some managed to get out of their astonishment to immediately try to find a way to turn off their homes and help those who were injured or locked in the rubble.
'I guess I have to help them.' Kei thought.
So he raised his right hand to the sky.
This caught the attention of all those who were still watching, who turned their eyes to the sky, which although it was dark because of the smoke and because it was night, they could still see clearly how the clouds began to accumulate above them, so that moments later a heavy rain began to fall, which only took a few minutes, which were enough for the fire to be extinguished.
And although they were all standing without covering themselves or anything, they realized that they were not wet, and they noticed that they were covered by a thin layer of white, which prevented them from getting wet, and they also saw that the few survivors who were in the place with serious wounds or inculcated those that had only scratches or some damage began to heal in a fast way.
"I suppose we'll spend the night here, so why don't you help them now, itami? While I prepare some food for the survivors." Kei asked out loud which everyone heard.
"Clear." Itami replied briefly.
So with that said, it was decided to spend the night in the place while Kei approached the well, and then take Tuka out to dry her and put her to bed inside his car.
