really an Isekai? (changed)

After floating in an infinite, dark void for what felt like an eternity, I finally spotted a distant light. A wave of indescribable joy washed over me as I was suddenly teleported to a place that could only be described as heaven.

The environment around me was breathtaking, with beauty that seemed too perfect to exist. As I took in my surroundings, my gaze landed on a figure seated on a tree stump. It was a being of pure light, with no visible features, yet it felt as though it were observing me closely. Despite its lack of eyes, I sensed its attention on me.

Summoning my courage, I spoke with as much confidence as I could muster. "Hello... who are you?"

The being seemed to ponder my question, though I couldn't tell how. After a brief silence, it finally answered, "Don't worry, boy. There's no need to be so cautious. I am ROB."

For a moment, I was confused. "Rob? What a weird name," I thought to myself.

The being suddenly seemed annoyed, despite its featureless form. "It's rude to insult someone's name, even in your thoughts," it said with a hint of irritation in its voice. "I didn't even choose the name myself — it came from some weirdos on the internet."

Startled, I asked, a bit creeped out, "Wait... you can read my thoughts?"

"That's the least of what I can do," ROB replied casually. "Anyway, let's skip the small talk and get to the point: you're dead."

"Really? No shit, Sherlock," I responded sarcastically, immediately regretting my words. Insulting a random cosmic being probably wasn't the best idea.

ROB ignored my sarcasm and continued, "I've decided to reincarnate you into another world."

I raised an eyebrow. "What's the catch?"

ROB seemed amused by my skepticism. "It's simple. You'll get random powers and be sent to a random world — everything will be decided by luck."

As soon as he said this, despair washed over me. I remembered every time I'd lost in gacha games or gambling, feeling my luck was never on my side.

ROB chuckled, clearly enjoying my reaction. "Come on, it'll be fun. I have a feeling today's your lucky day. What would you like to spin first, the world or your powers?"

I sighed. "Let's start with the world."

Suddenly, an enormous wheel appeared in front of me, filled with the names of countless worlds. I saw names like *Warhammer 40k, Metro,* and *Attack on Titan,* which made me want to die again. But rather than complaining, I gathered my strength and spun the wheel.

The wheel spun at an incredible speed, repeating its rotation several times before slowing down. For a terrifying moment, it almost stopped on *Warhammer 40k*, but with the last bit of momentum, it landed on *High School DxD.*

Relief and excitement flooded me as I realized I had dodged a bullet. But then, I remembered the chaos in *DxD*: genocides, devils on the rise, slavery, and bloodier wars than anything Earth had seen.

As I began to get nervous again, another wheel appeared, this time with various characters. Some fates were worse than death — the thought of being reincarnated as a servitor sent shivers down my spine. Just as I was about to protest, an unseen force compelled me to spin the wheel.

Feeling betrayed by ROB for making me spin this one, I anxiously watched the wheel slow down. It eventually landed on *Raiden Shogun* from a gacha game I used to play.

ROB made a thoughtful pose. "Hmm, Raiden Shogun. Not bad, but not great either, especially in the *DxD* universe. Still, it'd be boring if you weren't either very strong or very weak from the start. But I'm in a good mood, so I'll make you much stronger than Raiden... with a few hidden twists to keep things interesting."

He extended his hand, waiting for a handshake. It felt like making a deal with the devil, but after thinking it over, I figured it was better than becoming a slave to one of the overpowered beings in this world. I shook his hand.

Before I could ask any more questions, I said seriously, "Could you at least give me a background so I don't seem suspicious just showing up out of nowhere?"

ROB nodded. "I was going to give you one before you even asked."

Before I could say anything else, I was thrown into a portal like a piece of trash. As I regained my bearings, I immediately noticed something odd — my chest felt heavier. Looking down, I was greeted by the sight of rather large "assets."

Panicking, I checked my pants for my "third leg," only to fall to the floor in despair upon realizing it was gone.

"Fuck, fuck, this can't be happening!" I muttered to myself. My voice, now soft and sweet like honey, only added to the confusion.

While I grieved over the loss of my masculinity, my head was suddenly assaulted by a flood of memories — Raiden Shogun's memories of this world. I was stunned by the sheer strength she possessed.

"Wow... so that's Raiden's true power. The Traveler was lucky Raiden went easy on them, or the story would've ended a lot sooner."

Finally managing to pull myself together, I took in my surroundings. It seemed like I was in a shrine of some kind. After walking around for a bit, I came across a set of massive doors. Despite their imposing size, I managed to push them open easily.

As I stepped outside, I realized I was in Kyoto. Thanks to Raiden's skills and experience, I could immediately sense a small figure nearby even with my eyes closed— a little fox girl. *Kunou*, I thought to myself, recognizing her from *DxD*.

Her face was a flurry of emotions, shifting from fear to excitement and then hope. Before I could say anything, she turned and ran, likely heading to her mother, Yasaka. I didn't feel the need to chase after her, so I got into meditative position to sort out my memories

---

Meanwhile, Yasaka sat in her chambers, massaging her temples as she dealt with another headache. The devils were once again doing whatever they wanted — first, they committed genocide against the nekomatas, then they pressured the yokai into giving them land.

Just as Yasaka was about to lose herself in thought, the doors to her room burst open. Annoyed, she was about to scold her daughter for barging in unannounced again when Kunou blurted out excitedly, "Mom! The Guardian of all yokai has awakened!"

Yasaka's eyes widened in shock. A hopeful expression crossed her face for the first time in years. Could this finally mean that the yokai would no longer be punching bags for the other factions once again?
