Chapter 7

Leah bravely stepped forward and took the long knife in her hand and ran towards the zombie.

Despite being afraid she landed a sturdy blow on the zombie's neck, the neck unhinged but not detached looked nauseating.

She nearly threw up immediately but swallowed whatever was in her mouth back down.

Finding the will to live she stood up again and again tried striking the zombie's neck this time making it fall to the ground.

' She's stronger than I gave her credit for ', Qin Tong thought looking at Leah with interest.

Meanwhile, Leah was celebrating inwardly about not being unless to the group.

Qin Tong quickly walked past the corpses when no one noticed taking the crystal out of their heads.

[ A new skill has been given by the system ]

Without much thought Qin Tong accepted.

[ Skill acquired: Collect (active skill) ]

Collect: { This power allows the user to collect more mana stones more efficiently. It will immediately be added to the dimension space, washed, and cleaned }

[ If I kill a zombie then it'll immediately be added to my storage ] Qin Tong was in amazement at such a useful skill.

[ Yes master, when you kill a creature as long as you will it, their mana stones will be stored till later use ], the system answered back masterfully also with pride in its speech.

"Is it me or this system is prideful,must be my imagination" Qin Tong mused for a bit

'It's no time to celebrate, those things will find us soon enough' Qin Tong contemplated her next move as she looked at them.

[ I want information about the situation of the world ] she stated.

[ Yes master. As a result of the sudden increase of intense death elements in the world as result an entity called "miasma" was born. The "miasma" corrupts all living organisms destroying the cycle of life ]

[ Humans turn into undead/zombies, and plants turn into mutants that eat humans or mutant animals. Lastly, animals turn into power-hungry beasts with no sanity, in other words, animal mutants ]

[ So far only 37% of the world has been corrupted. It is most likely to affect the weak-minded or the weak-bodied in a negative way such as death, there of course 5% of survival but the chances are very slim. Some become undead and some die due to the body not being able to handle the sudden fluctuation of death element ]

[ The remaining 63% of humanity has gained powers from the death element as seen from the humans surrounding master. They all contain only half elements of the world ( water, fire, eath, wind, dream,spirit, acid, light, darkness and rune ) giving them powers to survive. The other half of the elements ( death, blood, time, chaos, and necromancy ), the human body can't control unless they reach a certain level ]

" Interesting...but it'll be problematic if we were to have enemies in the future," she thought with a small frown but it came out as nothing but a low snarl.

' It's time to go, we can't stand waiting around ' She walked up to the opened door and looked outside.

' It's clear, the neighbors might be hiding or perhaps even dead ' Qin Tong looked for a while before giving the door a light knock.

Attracting the other's attention she pointed to the outside of the door indicating they should leave.

" What if we die, " Leah said trembling.

Silence ensued as the sentence weighed heavily on their heart even Anthony was stumped as he even feared death.

' I see, I do not need weak humans following me ' Qin Tong walked out the door.
