-Kris-
*bzzzzzz bzzzzzzz*
I heard my phone go off and I sat up in my bed. I yawn and stretch before getting out of bed before grabbing my phone to turn off the buzzer. I hear the leeves russle in the morning breeze. I grab my brush and go to the bathroom where I proceed to give myself my 'scene' hairstyle. (Is that what people call it now?) It was then I get a mischievous idea. I smirk and set my phone down, grab my glasses, get ready, and go into the orphanage common room to get some food. I, unlike my friends Zeke or Jessie, am a morning person. That means I'm up and ready to go before the sun comes up. Then again, that's just me. That's how it's always been. I stand in the doorway for a bit while I watch the little kids run around and play without a care in the world.
"If only they knew what was to come." I think sadly to myself as I watch the kids play.
I go back to my room, my piece of toast in hand, and grab my things, and start spamming Zeke with weird text messages until he turned off his phone. Or it crashed. I don't know. Before I know it, I'm in front of Zeke's house, waiting for him to get ready and come out.

It took a shorter amount of time then I had expected for Zeke to get ready, but before I knew it, the front door swung open and there stood one of my best friends. Who, might I add, always had a resting bitch face. But then again, I knew why.
I turn to greet him. "Hey, Red!" I smile.
"Hey, Kris." He says rather blankly. "You ready for school?"
"Six crappy hours of our lives? Hell no." I say with a laugh and rolling my eyes. "What about you? You ready to be the new kid?" There was a hint of sarcasm.
"Fuck. No." He said with a playful scowl.
After a few more minutes of small talk, we finally start walking towards the school thought the park across the street from his house. It was a nice park, and it had lots of open space, picnic tables, and a playground. With the hustle and bustle of Boston, it was a pretty peaceful place at 7:29 in the morning. Even if a bit cold.
"I wonder when Jess is gonna get here." I think to myself. "Hopefully, she isn't already at school."
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity of silence, Zeke decided to start a conversation.
Care to tell me why you sent me so many messages? I was getting ready." He said.
"Cuz," I say as I smile. "It's funny."
"Not really, but ok." He said in a more or less pissed off voice.
"I'm sorry, my lord, I was bored," I smirk.
"I'm not a lord." He says.
"I know," I say while still smiling mischievously. "I was joking."
Just then, I heard footsteps coming up from behind us.
"SUP BITCHES!" Jess yelled before putting her arms around Zeke and me.
"Good morning Jessica!" I say with a smile.
"Why do you do this?" Zeke said with a wtf expression on his face. I guess he wasn't used to Boston life yet.
