Chapter 1

Magus Kingdom is very well known as the magic kingdom in which the majority of the citizens possess magic including the Royalty. There are two types of magic bearers which are Light magic and Dark magic. And the magic that is allowable to be used is Light magic as it is mostly used to help people. Meanwhile, Dark magic is normally used for destruction. According to the law, Dark magic is prohibited in the Magus Kingdom. Anyone who possesses the Dark magic, will be sentenced to death.

One day, the firstborn princess is born into the Royal families. "What will be the name of our beautiful child?", said his Highness the King. "Sylca..Princess Sylca Xendara" said the Queen with a smile on her face. The King and Queen feel so delighted they're making an announcement to celebrate their newborn princess and the celebration has been held for 7 days straight. When Princess Sylca reached 2 years old, the King and Queen were blessed with a second child, which was also a princess. The second princess was named Princess Fleir Xylica.

Several years have passed and as usual, when the royalties reach the end of the toddler age, a precognition will be read to identify whether the next heir is entitled to ascend the throne. Princess Sylca has already reached 3 years old. Adorable looking Princess Sylca was playing in the garden near the castle. Out of the blue, she suddenly stopped playing and standing straight without blinking or whatsoever. At first, the maid approached Princess Sylca to check on her. "Are you okay, Princess Sylca", said the maid while touching gently on the Princess Sylca shoulder. After being touched in a few seconds, Princess Sylca fainted and fell. Luckily, the maid is there to catch the princess before she falls onto the ground. The maid panicked and called out for guards. Princess Sylca has been brought back to her room. The King rushed towards the Princess Sylca chamber when he heard about his first born fainted in the garden.

Princess Sylca looks like she's sleeping so soundly with no harm whatsoever. "What happen to you, my child" said the King feeling sad and worried about his firstborn child. The King immediately summons the High Magus of the Magus Kingdom to check on the princess. High Magus is the most wise and knowledgeable Royal Magician in the Magus Kingdom. Once the High Magus has arrived, his Highness the King asked all attendants including the guards to leave the room. Once they leave, his Highness the King immediately approaches the High Magus. "Alfret what is happening to my princess? Out of the blue, she's suddenly fainted in the garden." said his Highness the King worried.

"Don't fret, your highness I'll try my best to treat the princess. Let me do a quick diagnosis on the princess" said Alfret. While his Highness the King and the High Magus Alfret converse, someone already diagnosed the princess. "I sense some dark magic all over the princess body".

Both his Highness the King and High Magus Alfret surprise by that statement. "Who are you, boy?" said his Highness. High Magus immediately introduces the boy to his Highness the King. "Apologize, for the late introduction your Highness. This is Alphei, my young apprentice. He's a gifted boy as he masters most of the difficult spells at such a young age." said Alfret proudly introduces his apprentice.

His Highness the King stares for a moment at the boy and questions him about the diagnosis that he did about Princess Sylca. "Are you telling the truth about Princess Sylca? I hope you're well known that misinterpretation is considered as a lie and according to our law you can be sentenced into the prison or worse death", said his Highness the King with a stern look towards the boy. Alfret calmed down his Highness the King and apologized multiple times. Alfret tells the King that he will diagnose Princess Sylca again. Upon completion of the diagnosis, Alfret is surprised by the result and thinking how he could tell his Highness the King. "Apologize his Highness, this may be hard for you but, Princess Sylca does have a dark magic around her body. And it's not coming from the outside but, from the inside of her body", said Alfret feeling afraid and sympathetic towards the princess.

His Highness the King stares at Princess Sylca who is sleeping so soundly while his Highness looks like he is giving some thought after hearing the result. "Alfret,..can you read Princess Sylca's precognition?" said his Highness the King. Alfret is surprised that the King rushes to know the precognition before the official precognition event. However, looking at the current situation Alfret believes that his Highness is so worried about what will be the action he will take after the precognition is read. Without question his Highness request, Alfret read Princess Sylca precognition.

"As the knowledge is closed to hide the secret that holds within, Reveal the premonition that the future holds"

A crystal ball suddenly appear from Princess Sylca body. Alfret takes the ball and views the possible future hold for the princess. Alfret is surprised by the result but, he didn't say anything instead he's handover the crystal ball to his Highness for him to see with his own eyes. His Highness feeling surprise and scared that he kneels down, trembles with fear. "I-It can't be. My child..will bring a disaster", said the his Highness the King with trembling voice.

The High Magus stays silent with his apprentice waiting for the King to make the decision as according to the law anyone who possesses the dark magic must be sentenced to death. However, the King is unable to let himself kill his firstborn princess. After giving some thought, the King has finally made a decision. "Alfret,..please lock up Princess Sylca in the abandoned palace before she's sentenced to death.."

At first both the High Magus and his apprentice were surprised by the King decision. However, the King hasn't finished his word yet.

"...After she reached 18 years old, bring her back here to see if she still shows the sign that she possesses the dark magic. And if she still do..ehm.."

Before the King finishes his word, the High Magus immediately replies "I understand your order your Highness", because he knows how the King is currently feeling about his firstborn princess.

"I'll also ensure no one knows about the current situation as it'll create havoc if anyone knows about a princess who possesses a dark magic still be alive", said Alfret.

According to the Magus Kingdom law, the prisoner can only be sentenced to death after 18 years old. The King thinks that he still has a chance to save his firstborn princess.

However, it's a bit mean to leave a three year old toddler in the abandoned palace with no attendant or guards allowed to serve the princess as the King doesn't want anyone else to know besides him, the High Magus and his apprentice. However, meals and other things still provided by the King to the princess. Only one person is allowed to send out the meals and other things and that is the High Magus apprentice, Alphei.

On the same day before Princess Sylca wakes up, she has been transferred to the abandoned palace. When Princess Sylca finally wakes up, she realizes that she is in a new place with no one around. It's so quiet that she can only hear the wind blow and the birds singing. Princess Sylca starts to cry really hard but, no one comes to her chamber. Since no one comes, she stops crying and wipes her tears. Suddenly she gets a real bad headache. She holds her head with both hands while shutting her eyes, enduring the pain.

When the headache stops, she opens her eyes and sees some kind of vision like the precognition of what might happen in the future. The same precognition that the King saw in the crystal ball, the whole kingdom was on fire, the building was destroyed, many people were killed and the last people standing is herself with blood on her face while riding a beast.

After the precognition is over, she's awake. She feels like having a bad dream or something. Princess Sylca throw up in her bed and breath heavily like a people unable to catch a breath. After that, she started to crying again. What else can a 3 year old do, she just fell asleep on her bed that night after crying so hard. Tomorrow morning someone yells wakes her up.

"What is happening here?!! I know you're just 3 years old but, look at what you did. Throw up and sleep in your bed like this. You are a princess, you can't be like this." he said that with furious.

The person yelling at Princess Sylca is the High Magus apprentice Alphei. Princess Sylca looking at Alphei like she knows nothing about what is going on.

Alphei sighs when she looks at the princess who doesn't know about the current situation. So, the young apprentice decided that he'll told the Princess Sylca what she has to do. Like a teacher and student, Princess Sylca listen to whatever told by Alphei. Both of them clean up the bed and wash the bed sheets. Once done, Alphei asked Princess Sylca to wash herself. With her cute babbling it looks like Princess Sylca wants to ask Alphei how to do that. Alphei just sighs again and demonstrates her how to take a shower.

Once both of them reached the bathroom and Alphei took the soap to demonstrate how to use it. "Later take off your clothes and take this soap and brush into your whole body. Once done, shower yourself with water to remove the soap from your body, don't forget to dry up yourself as well with this towel and wear the bath robe like this", said Alphei teaching the princess step by step on how to take a shower. Princess Sylca said "O-teh" as okay with her cute adorable voice as she understand the assignment.

After that, Alphei helps to dry and brush the princess hair and teach her how to dress up. Alphei feels like a big brother taking care of his little sister. Once done, Alphei and Princess Sylca eat the meals he brought. Once finished, Alphei explained the current situation to Princess Sylca. "Listen, I know what your future holds but, I will still be going to teach you basic things as a human like read, write and so on and once you master the basic things maybe I will teach you more about other things for example how to prevent yourself from using magic, can you understand me?", said Alphei. Not really sure about what Alphei is talking about, Princess Sylca just nod her head.

Alphei is supposed to send out the meal to Princess Sylca as to monitor her well being if she ever uses her dark magic. But, he decided to do more than that. No one knows about that except the High Magus Alfret because it was the first mission for Alphei as the High Magus apprentice.

A few years passed, Princess Sylca is already 7 years old. That day, Alphei come a bit late to her palace. So, she decided to play in the small garden behind the palace. Suddenly, a red string appears in her pinky finger. "What is this thread?", said Princess Sylca wondering about the red string that suddenly appear. She tries to pull the thread but, the thread won't budge. So, she decided to walk and follow the track of the thread. "hm..I wonder what's waiting for me at the end of the thread. aahh!!"
