Chapter 10: The Man with Blood-Red Flowers
"Hey, Phak, it's me. What are you doing lying around here, huh?"
"Come, hold my hand," said "Ton" 's brother Phak , extending his hand.
"No worries, no worries..." Phak responded with a smile.
"Where did you run off to today?"
"Ton" smiled and chuckled,
"Just wandered around a bit."
"Um" Phak's younger brother exclaimed while hugging him.
"Feeling tired?"
"Yeah... it hurts everywhere. In a world without you, everything feels worse. No one protects me."
"It's okay..."
"Do you feel tired?"
"Yeah... it hurts to the core. In a world without you, everything feels worse. No one protects me," Phak said with a voice filled with emotion and tears.
"It's okay. It's okay. It's okay. You're special. Remember that," reassured the younger boy as he tried to comfort his younger brother.
"No worries. No worries. No worries. You're special. Remember that," said the younger boy, holding Phak's face to make him realize the significance of those words.
Phak woke up in a rectangular room...
"Bark, bark!"
Three black puppies (grown for a year on the island) were at the foot of his bed.
"Bark, bark!" Phak left the house, and the little black dogs followed him.
Phak and the black dogs, Panther, Panthar, and Pendorra, went to the public park, with people looking at Phak from a distance.
"They are walking in the park with their dogs," an ordinary day that seemed nothing unusual.
Uncle, who came to read the newspaper every morning, didn't hesitate to greet people in the neighborhood.
"Hello, Uncle."
"Hello, young man."
The picture shown was Uncle reading the front page (one-year anniversary of the earthquake on Sumatra Island, commemorating the event).
Cut to Phak's house.
"The sound of parking. "
Phak returned from the park and parked his car in front of the house.
"Click" (sound of opening the car door).
"Come here, little mischief."
Panther, Panthar, and Pendorra, and friends ran into the house before Phak looked around the village.
... and Lilly, who prepared breakfast for the two of them.
"We're here," Lilly waited for the three dogs who ran to her.
"Bark, bark!" The three dogs headed for Lilly, seeming to know it's time to eat. They went to their food bowls, and Lilly didn't hesitate to give them their food.
Lilly, in the picture, was a beautiful woman, unlike when she was on the island. She wore an office girl outfit, a blue dress that was neat and fresh. Her eyes were clear, like pearls in the sea, shining when she looked at Phak.
She looked cheerful and very happy living with Phak. Of course, she still wore jewelry just like before.
The profit of her moon-shaped face.
"Hey, you look beautiful today," Phak grinned.
"So cute today."
"I have something for you."
"Wow, is it a special day today?"
"It's our 1-year anniversary."
Lilly opened the black box Phak had given her before her eyes sparkled, indicating that she liked this gift very much.
Before she slowly pulled out the item.
"Wow, a sun-shaped pendant, beautiful!" The red sun-shaped pendant.
"The color is like the setting sun. Do you like it?"
"Oh, thank you."
"It's so cute. Try wearing it."
"Mmm, a kiss. The cutest man ever."
Lilly looked at the clock.
"Okay, I have to go to work."
"Love you."
"Love you too."
"Mmm, one more kiss."
Before Phak walked her out.
Lilly turned back before opening the door.
"See you in the evening. Focus on your work. I'll have a reward for you when I come back." (Lilly with a mischievous look)
Not long after, Lilly went outside.
Outside, where traffic passes through the village, a man in a car is staring at Phak's house.
Vill Officer: The laundry schedule is complete.
Billie Officer: We've been following his life for a year. Life's become boring.
Phak, on the second floor of his house, sits on the balcony to write according to his daily routine.
Billie Officer: Look at him, just writing letters. Not doing anything. We joined the military to follow his life. This nerd, seriously.
Vill Officer: Well, today's the last day. The report to the boss is due today.
Billie Officer: We might have to celebrate today.
Vill Officer: That's right. Where should we go?
Billie Officer: How about the bar downtown?
Phak, listening to music in his room, chilling.
"Don't think like this, don't think at all, Z&%@*."
At a bar in Bangkok, Around 6:00 PM.
Bartender: What can I get you?
A man at the bar, not from around here, Jirachot, wearing civilian clothes, not in the investigation unit.
Jirachot: A Negroni, please. Make it a lemon skin.
Bartender: Coming right up.
An anonymous woman enters the bar, glancing at Jirachot's seat.
Anonymous Woman: How's work today?
Jirachot: Good.
Anonymous Woman: Looks like you're disappointed.
Jirachot: Not that much.
Bartender: What can I get for you, miss?
Jirachot: White Lady for her.
Anonymous Woman: You know me well.
The anonymous woman takes out documents from her bag.
Anonymous Woman: This is the information I found from the closed psychiatric hospital. It's related to the earthquake on the island, right?
Jirachot: Yes.
Anonymous Woman: My payment too. I agree with my life as a psychiatrist.
Jirachot: Huh?
Anonymous Woman: Just kidding. Do you know this info is more expensive than the cocktails you ordered? Why are you interested in this?
Jirachot: It's a personal matter. Stop asking, okay? Thanks anyway. :)
Anonymous Woman: Oh, never mind.
In a certain room,
The detective's room is a small space tucked away in a discreet corner of the investigation headquarters. The first thing that catches your eye is the desk with a computer and various reference books. On one side of the desk is a newspaper with headlines highlighting mysterious disappearances of investigators, cases of earthquakes, and toothless disputes leading to multiple fatalities. This has been the trend for the past year.
Some evidence on the table remains elusive, scattered in plain view. The room is dimly lit with minimal light emanating from the desk lamp, spreading throughout the room. The wide window is adorned with thick curtains, seemingly indifferent to the outside environment. Equipment for tracking cases and maps line the walls. One of them centers around a mysterious man. On the bookshelf, floating lights illuminate rows of books. In one corner, there's a special workstation filled with investigative tools such as cameras and evidence collection equipment.
On a document shelf in the corner of the room, a shoulder bag rests on a chair, holding small notebooks containing crucial investigative notes. The walls are often decorated with images illustrating various investigations and different signs, including notices, location maps, and posters to remind of ongoing cases.
Jirachot who doesn't hesitate to open the file he received.

A loud knocking came from outside.
At Phak's house,
"Who is it, sir?"
"Bang, Bang"
"I'm going to open it, sir."
"Crack."
The loud sound of the door being opened.
Phak was surprised to once again encounter Jirachot, but he managed to compose himself.
"Oh, Mr... um."
"I'm Police.... Jirochot."
"Oh."
"Hello. I just wanted to have a chat."
"Sure, sir."
Phak's house felt warm, and it didn't take long for a uniformed officer to join them.
"Growl"
"The sound threats from them."
"It won't bite, right?"
"No, sir."
"At this moment and the first time we met, it's quite different, even though it's been a year."
"Oh, yes, sir. Please have a seat."
The detective picked up his gun and placed it on the table.
"So, we have some information... Can I ask you a few questions?"
He spoke calmly and attached the silencer to the gun, turning it slowly into the barrel. He looked at Phak with a cool gaze.
"Sure, go ahead."
"Your brother."
"Yes."
"How did he die?"
"He passed away 20 years ago."
"Oh."
"Your father?"
"He passed away 2-3 years ago."
"I see."
"Do you know why I'm here?"
"To investigate, sir."
"Don't waste time. Can you tell me the truth?"
The detective didn't hesitate, unlocking the safety of his gun, ready to take action if necessary.
"Grow !!!" "It's the sound of a triumphant roar."
Detective Jirachoti wasted no time, unlocking the holster safety, ready to draw his weapon to defend against potential attacks.
"Stop!" Phak shouted loudly, preventing the dogs from attacking.
Detective Jirachoti was slightly surprised, pointing his gun at Phak without hesitation.
Along with Phak's changed demeanor, he seemed not like an ordinary person dealing with this situation.
He turned calm and silent, making Detective Jirachoti and his team uneasy. Even though they had gathered some information, they couldn't predict what he could do.
"Wherever you got your information, I'll tell you. The information you have is the secret of our origin and all the events there. Joseph has been destroying this island for a long time, and he deserves it."
"This is the ultimate sacrifice, sir. I might not survive. I was shot multiple times at a crucial point. If my heart is on the left side, I'm already dead."
The detective still pointed his gun at Phak.
"Let yourself die, huh? What can you do?"
"If I'm not lucky, the flower saved my life. Would I be alive to talk to you now?"
"My partner on the island?"
"That detective is Joseph's accomplice."
"No, he's my partner."
"Listen to me."
"Bang!"
A shot rang out, a bullet fired from the detective's gun. It grazed Phak's face.
"Stop twisting the attention. You've got my interest. What are you hiding?"
