Cupid's Touch

While walking on the road, Anastasia glanced at Equinox and noticed her acting unusual.

When she came back in the haul after changing her clothes. She saw Equinox's nose bleeding uncontrollably. That time she understood that something bad might have happened when she was inside.

Anastasia wanted to ask her about what happened. but she decided to let it slide because it would be rude of her to ask about it.

Equinox felt Anastasia gazing at her for minutes. That's why she decided to speak something before the surrounding becomes awkward. "I am sorry for making you late. You missed your lecture because of me."

Anastasia shook her head in response. "Don't be sorry. My lectures ended minutes ago. I am just going because i wanted to submit my assignment. That's it... After that, we can go back again."

"Ohh.." Equinox looked down and started to count her steps before they arrive into the university.

She couldn't wait till she get her powers back again. Because of not having memories anymore. Her head were making hallucinations of someone who she don't know anything about..

Just like before, she felt like Lilith was near the doorstep. But when in reality, there was no one there.

Maybe someone was there. But she got tricked thinking that there was no one watching her.

Seeing Equinox like this. Anastasia started to feel uneasy. That's why she couldn't help herself from asking the question. "Did something happened before? I am sorry for being nosy but if you feel like talking to someone. Then just come to me. Alright?"

Equinox chuckled. "You don't need to worry about me... Just take care of yourself. You are the one who is in danger now. Because if my Visions are true then..." She suddenly stopped because she didn't wanted to tell Anastasia about the visions yet.

Anastasia got curious while listening it. "What visions are you talking about?"

Equinox gave an awkward smile. "Uhh... Nothing. Just remember to protect yourself. Alright? Don't talk to any strangers you meet. Not all are trustworthy."

"Okay?" Anastasia couldn't understand why Equinox was suddenly telling her this. but she decided to keep this thing in her mind. Because if Equinox is telling her then it means the matter is important.

"By the way, did you really lived in the 1400s?" Anastasia started to daydream about it. "I wish I was alive in that period of time... It might be awesome living a care free life like a princess."

Equinox laughed when she heard it. "Care free life? In the 1400s? Trust me, that era was a nightmare for everyone. Mostly womans... ofcourse."

Anastasia: "What do you mean? Were womans really treated badly those days? I mean, i know this already but i can't believe that in a place like Stafford village. People were living miserable life."

Equinox: "I am not talking about just Stafford village in particularly. I mean whole world used to treat womans like an object. I mean, what can we do? That time there was patriarchy everywhere... Even the princess were not happy in their castle."

Anastasia got more interested in the history. "Ohh, so if everything was so bad that time then how did you lived? Did you got any jobs?"

Equinox: "Yeah, i got many... I was a maid, a waitress, actress, healer and a socialite too."

Anastasia: "In all the centuries you lived. Did you ever got married?"

Equinox: "No..." she laughed. "I am a half demon that's why i am not allowed to marry any humans. It could harm the nature's flow." Even though all the demons mission is to end this universe and nature's flow but Equinox never wanted it to happen.

Maybe it was the human part of her which still holded the empathy for the people around her.

"Ohh, so you never married anyone?" Anastasia started to think. "Then what about love? Did you ever loved someone?"

Equinox stopped when she heard it. Love? Did she loved someone? And if yes then who was it? She don't remember much about the past but based on the taunts she heard from other demons... The traitory she did centuries ago had something to do with love.

"Umm... I think we arrived." Based on the amount of students going inside the campus. Equinox realized that they were in the medical school of London. She secretly sighed with relief because now, she don't need to answer Anastasia's questions.

Anastasia also understood that Equinox was avoiding her questions.. that's why she didn't asked any further. "Alright.. then I'll go and submit my assignment to my teacher... Till that time you can explore the museum."

Equinox shook her head in no. She didn't felt like going anywhere. She would rather sit in one place then roam around.

"I don't think it is a good idea."

Anastasia: "I think it is... Our university has lot of old artifacts from the medieval era. And you know from where most of the things came from?"

Equinox got curious. "From where?

Anastasia: "Stafford village... Some mysterious person donated all the old artifacts to our university. Just so the new generation can look at it... I don't know much about it but if you glanced at those items then maybe your old memories would come again."

Equinox became stunned. "How did you know about me loosing my memories?"

Anastasia: "Uhh... I didn't mean to do it but i accidentally snooped into your head earlier and found this out... But- don't get me wrong. I didn't mean't to be nosy."

Equinox: "It's okay.. i know you just wanted to help."

Anastasia felt her breath again because she thought Equinox would misunderstand her. "Thanks goodness." She took out her old phone from her purse. "Here you go. If you by chance got lost then i can either track you or call you. Alright? You know how to use this right?"

Equinox took the phone out from her hand. "Yeah i do." Earlier Anastasia thought her how to use the phone. that's why she didn't found operating it hard.

"Then i should go.. If you got your memories back then let me know." After that, she went inside her classroom to submit her assignment papers.

Equinox stood there while clentching the phone tightly because of the nervousness.

She didn't knew if she wanted to go inside or not. What if she learned about something that could get her in trouble? All of her past memories are terrifying for her. That's she was troubled in her thoughts.

But in the end, she made up her mind. She wanted to go inside to check if she will get her memories back or not.

Remembering something is better than not knowing anything. And if she got her memories by chance then it will be easier to find the hell porter. Just so she could destroy it for good. Atleast no more demons would come out from it anymore and if that happened then she can keep everyone away from Lilith.

That's why she made up her mind and went inside the museum to learn the truth.

Inside the large museums. Many students were taking photos of the old artifacts with enjoyment.

One girl smiled at her phone's camera and took a picture of herself besides a expensive ring which was kept inside a glass for it's safety.

She looked at her boyfriend while being enthusiastic.

"My goodness!!! I can't believe it!! All of this artifacts from here came from Stafford village!! The blood at the night movie was shooted on that place. I can't believe i am finally here." The girl jumped with joy.

Her boyfriend on the other hand tried to calm her down. "Baby stop being so hyper. That movie was just fictional. Stop obsessing over it."

"It is not just a movie for me. It was my emotion. You won't understand it.. because you are terrified of monsters." The girl replied in instant.

The guy tried to act tuff. "Me!? And scared?" He scoffed. "That's stupid. I am not scared of anything."

The girl rolled her eyes and glanced at the emerald ring which was inside the glass box.

"Look at this beautiful ring." Her eyes sparkled after looking at it. "You know i did some research on it and then i found out that this was a heirroom of the royal family that lived in the Stafford village.. This ring was supposed to go to the woman who the crown prince would marry... But sadly, this thing is abandoned now. That means in real life, victor didn't got his happy ending with his lover." Her face turned unhappy.

"I don't know about him. But we are going to have happy ending for sure."

The girl looked at her boyfriend confused. "Huh!?"

"I am going to buy you a ring that looks exactly similar to this one." The guy holded his girlfriend's hand. "But ofcourse, the ring is not going to be expensive. Cause you know, i am cheap."

The girl busted into laughter. "Are you proposing me?"

The guy nodded. "Yeah."

The girl smiled at hugged her boyfriend tightly. "Then I'll accept. With or without the ring."

The people around them started to clap while looking at the couple.

Victor smiled and started to think. He didn't made this museum so people could propose each other. But we can't do anything about it now. That ring was touched by cupid. That's why people around it always propose each other.

"It didn't gave me any happy ending. But i prey that you two will have an awesome wedding life." Victor looked away from the couple and glanced the museums ancient library. "Anyway, First let's just get the work done." Saying that, he went inside the restricted library without anyone's noticing.

Equinox entered into the museum and started checking out all the things curiously.

Half of the artifacts looked very familiar to her but the other didn't.

She glanced at the old royalty dress hanged inside the huge glass box. The dress was covered into real gold from top to bottom. But still it was very beautiful and elegant to look at.

Equinox remembered who used to wear this dress. This dress was bought by Queen Alexandra. She was the mother of Victor and Princess Amara.

Equinox clearly remember meeting Queen Alexandra for the first time. She was very strict in personality but she still had a good heart. The queen loved her kingdom's people dearly. Maybe that's why she got promoted from being a peasant girl to queen.

"Look! The guy over there proposed to his girlfriend just now." A girl laughed while looking at the couple.

Her friend replied while taking the photos. "I know. The ring over there is called the cupid's touch for a reason... One day i am going to bring my crush over here. Then we'll see if he becomes my soulmate or not."

Both the girls laughed. "I really want to who that ring actually belongs to. I heard the crown prince of the Stafford village brought this ring for his lover. God knows who was that girl? Could it be Cassandra?"

Equinox's heart stopped when she heard it. Hearing this girls talking about the ring made her more curious. Because she never heard about this ring ever.

She went towards the crowdy place where everyone were admiring the ring. And finally saw the infamous cupid's touch.

The large emerald diamond on the ring was glowing very brightly. But Equinox eyes were not on the ring's beauty. Her mind started to spin because of the sudden memory that got inside her head.

She clearly remembers someone giving this ring to her. But she don't remember the person's face. Who gave it to her? She tried to remember about the person. but she got distracted by someone's voice which sounded very familiar to her.

[Don't worry about me. I am just visiting our old museum. I love getting memories about it.] A brunette haired women laughed while talking with someone through phone.

Equinox quickly remembered who this person was.

"Larissa!? How is this possible!? Isn't she dead?" Equinox started to panic.

Equinox looked at Larissa who was trying to leave the museum. "By the way brother, did you met your target yet?" She smirked and left the museum.

Equinox got shocked when she heard Larissa calling the person on the other hand of the phone "brother".

She became very scared. Because in 1400s Larissa's brother was once her fiance.

"Ohh shit! Now who's life are this brats behind? I need to find out everything." Saying that she decided to follow Larissa to know the truth.

When she left from the museum, accidentally the phone which was in her hand fell down on the ground and got caught in someone's eyes.

The person picked the phone up and glanced at Equinox's back while being curious about her.

"Excuse me... Your phone?" before he could say anything. Equinox was out of his sight. Like she just disappeared.

Victor clenched the phone and went behind her to see who the person was. He don't know why. But he felt like he has met that women somewhere before and he wants to find out who she was.
