Regium

I check the time and it's almost seven in the evening now so, I check the cabinet if there is a uniform and it's a beautiful uniform. I'm maybe tired but I need to get ready.

This is the world that I'm walking now maybe, it's not bad to live in a new environment. I prepare the uniform and other things that I might need here while opening the student handbook which suprise me because it has a thick pages.

If you open the handbook there is no ink or any signs of prints that supposedly in the regular handbooks. I wear the victorian style dress uniform. The uniform has a long sleeve polo, colored blazer sleeveless dress , and a vertical stripe dress with cotton belt.

It's beautiful. After readying myself for the school assembly, I arranged my things and put some lip balm and baby powder. I smiled at the mirror and the color of my blazer sleeveless is red. I don't know why but it looked elegant.

When I got out of my dorm, I put my card keys, and allowance card in my wallet before locking my dorm room. As I'm walking on my way to the assembly hall I bumped into someone that made me fall on my butt.

"Aww!" I reacted and rubbed my butt as I was standing up I felt the stares at my place. I looked up and saw a guy with a sharp cold crimson eyes. I immediately stood up and raised my brows. "You're not even sorry that you bumped!" I hissed.

He didn't talked so, I pushed him hard while the crowd grasps in surprise. I don't care about this guy and he's rude. I passed walked onto him and touch my hips and a sudden pain. I think I have bruise in my hip.

"That guy is really rude." I whispered. A lot of students looked into my direction and some of them are wearing the same clothes as mine but the difference are the colors. I reach in the assembly hall there is a lot of student who is entering the hall.

I stayed outside and find some bench to sit on. I put my bag beside me and search for the handbook to read on. It is good that I read everything about the school, the rules, their uniforms and events.

The uniforms has a sign and colored. Mine is red which represent a vampire that made me confused. The yellow represents the wolves while green represents the witch the colors violet and blue represent the high ranking students which is powerful.

Although I'm human they give me the wrong color but I'm fine with it. I didn't heard any noise and busy reading the student handbook and the schedule was intact on the back.

This school has different subject from the subjects that I take in my former school. They have Advance Classes which is for the high ranking and powerful students, Normal Classes is for the Normal Creature, and the last one is a Co-Ed which means it's a mix class which made them interact with everybody and left out nobody from the shadow.

It's not bad, I guess. I wonder where I can see Astrid and Victor. I checked my watch and my eyes widen. I'm late for the assembly! I got up and fix everything before running inside the hall.

The assembly hall is really huge. "Oh! we have late comers for the first time!" I heard Elena from the stage. I looked up and saw everyone looking at me. I gulped and stood up straight.

'"I'm sorry for being late in the assembly, young miss!" I sardonically replied to her that made everyone gasped and gossip.

"Oh my god!"

"She dared to answer back to the queen bee?!"

"Goodluck to her life here!"

"She can just shut up and continue to find a place to seat in!"

"She can be her ultimate target!"

I'm not afraid of that brat! Someone pulled me out. "Here you can seat beside me." she whispered to me. I glance to the girl who pulled me out of the crowd. "I'm Michelle by the way and you're the only one who talked to her on that kind of tone." that is why no one dared to do it?

"I'm Sel, I'm just new here." she smiled at me. "I'm a vampire from Del Vallè Clan if you're familiar." I shook my head. "Arise." I heard the voice and I automatically stood up and I looked on my left side where the aisle is located.

"I will leave you here for now. See you later!" she whispered and in an instant she vanished into thin air. I scratch my head, awkwardly. All of the people I met today just leave me easily. I shook my head. "Can I seat beside you?" a girl asked me. I nodded.

"You're new here?"

"Yup. I just arrived earlier."

"You must be the human that they're talking about earlier."

"So, I become instantly the talk of the town, huh?"

"You will found out why you become the hot topic and those creature won't stop talking to you."

I didn't replied back and just listen to the host in front. I sat down when he announces that we can take our seats. "These uniform is beautiful but it's too hot to wear it!" I complained. "In these school you can't just walk around wearing t-shirts and jeans because of the weather..."

"You might say that for now but the moment we stepped out in this hall the weather is really cold."

They discuss about the rules and regulations, and the contents of the student handbooks that I just read earlier. "Now, we will introduce to all of you the Regium." Regium? Is this their high ranking students? or powerful.

"They are both."

"Stop reading my mind."

"Your mind speaks too much."

I shook my head and just clapped my hands while the others are clapping like a crazy fan. As I looked at the creature around me I felt like I'm going to use this kind of life in this school. "We have a different purebloods and half bloods that is powerful and smart in their own unique way."

They are entering inside the hall and the moment I saw the familiar faces, I gasped in surprise. "You look surprised." I looked at the girl beside me. "By the way, I'm Chloe and I'm a witch."

"It's nice to meet you, Chloe!" I smiled at her. "See you later bye!" she leave and go to the aisle. All of them are crazy? Aren't they? Or I'm just dreaming or hallucinating? I saw a familiar faces that made me surprise.

When they reach the stage, the girls automatically looked at my direction and winked at me. I'm just staring at them and still sinking in the situation that I'm in. I wanted to asked them but I don't know how because I don't even know them although we just met today and they not treat me, horribly.

"Astrid is really beautiful!"

"All of the girls of Regium are exquisite and beautiful!"

"The guys are hot!"

" I want to date them!"

Hearing them made my eyes rolled. Spare me from this kind of creature! "Okay, students. Calm down." the host told them and they fell into silence. I sighed in relief. "Before we introduce them to all of you, let's welcome our freshmen/ our new students and give them an around of applause!" I clapped.

"Now we will introduce to you the Regium one by one." he said. "Regium is from the advance classes because they are powerful and smart enough to compete outside the academy. They are known for having a unique abilities."

"Let's give around of applause to the eldest of Regium, Ash Stephen!" they clapped. A familiar guy stood up that made my forehead creased. Where did I saw this guy again? Hmmm... Oh! This is the guy who bumped me in the hallway.

I rolled my eyes. This guy is rude! I stood up immediately and leave the hall without any noise. I don't want to interrupt them. I successfully made my exit without getting any attention from them.

I sighed in relief and start to wonder around. It's beautiful and I can't contain the smile from my face as I roam the first building. Some of the rooms has a window and some doesn't have. When I saw a library my feet automatically bring me inside.

"It's not time to wonder around, miss." I heard someone said. I search for the person to find out that it was a man. "I'm just roaming myself around to get familiar with the place." I replied.

I didn't care about the man and start to wonder around in the library and get some books that I find really helpful and interesting. I really like History and Botany.

I search for a quite place for me to read these books. As I read these books I discover a lot of things about them. I find it interesting and it's unbelievable but it indeed happened.

"I can see your emblem on your wrist." a woman said that distract me from what I reading. I check my wrist but I can't see anything.I looked up at her. "Sorry but who are you? I mean no offense meant but I'm a human."

She smiled. Her mouth will open to talk when I heard a familiar voice. "Love!" he shouted. Her eyes widen. "We're really alike." she didn't care. I think that is her boyfriend. She smiled at me and sat beside me. "Don't mind him."

She looked like someone that I know. "You must be new here in the Academy." I nodded. "I am." I replied.

"Then welcome to the Academy."

"How old are you?"

"21"

"My daughter has the same age as yours."

"You're here." My gaze move to the person who called her earlier. This is the man that I met earlier too. I'm meeting a lot of people today. "Oh! You're the new student that I met earlier!" I smiled.

"I forgot to introduce myself I'm Marco, the head of the academy." I adjust my seat because he looks like he wants to seat. "This is my wife, the head of council and my queen." she just rolled my eyes.

They're sweet. "By the way, what is your name?" she asked me. I smiled. "I'm Sel—Selene, I don't know anything about your world or this school." I replied. "Maybe, we can talked about your questions after your class or maybe during your day off."

I looked at him in confusion. "Isn't it a break for school?" I asked him. "Don't mind him. He's just workaholic." they looked like they'd just fight. "Master Marco and Lady Kylie they already calling you at the hall." someone appeared from nowhere that made me hide from Ms. Kylie's back.

"Don't scare the guest!" she scolded him. I lose my grip upon hearing her. "Ah! I'm fine I'm just startle." I awkwardly smiled. "All of the students are in the Assembly Hall, why are you here?" he asked.

"Let her be. If she don't want to attend the opening then it's fine."

"But—"

"No buts! We will follow you to the Assembly Hall. Now, go back to your pos."

I smiled in relieve but that wasn't the right way. "Maybe, I can go back with you—" she cut me off.

"If you're not comfortable enough to meet a lot of creature and it's pressuring you then don't force yourself to meet them, just take your time and you will get there." she smiled and stood up.

"Thank you." I smiled. "Meet us on the weekends here in the library to tour you around." she offered. I smiled at them. "You should talk about your problem." I suggested. "We will." she smiled. I felt my heart become full without any reason.

It felt like it is already filled the missing piece. "Can I give you a hug?" she asked. I nodded and stood up. I hugged her back. It feels safe. "Fancy meeting you, Selene." she whispered.

'It's nice to meet you too.'

"See you on weekend!" they bid a goodbye to me. I touch my heart and I felt happy that something was filled in my heart. "It's been a long time since I felt that." I uttered.

I go back to what I was doing until a couple of hours passed and I heard the bell ring. I put my earphone on my ears and play a music on my phone. I like korean songs, although I can't undersrand it it makes me feel comfortable and safe.

I click on the song 'Starry Night by Jessica Jung'. It felt like a dream to me that all of the things that is happening right now is coincidence and not fortunate or luck for me.

I sing to the song in a humming tone. Everyone looked at me as if I l'm crazy, I stop singing and keep singing in my mind. I check my schedule on my handbook and it is a botany class which they will teach us to take care of the plants. I went to the Normal Class for Botany.

I have a background about the subjects here except history. Mama teach me those things even the spell making. It amaze me at first but I realized that it will be useful for me.

I entered the class and the teacher entered after I seated. "Good Evening, I'm Irene Teacher from the Advance Class. I wilp be teaching you for this semester and I hope you will learn a lot about Botany."

"So... Might you introduce yourself... starting from the back." pointed at me. I stood up and walked in front. "I'm Kharis Selene Imperia from the Human World. Nice to meet you." I smiled.

The frowned some change their eye color and I spotted Elena. Oh no! I will not be involving with these girl again. "It's nice to meet you, Ms. Imperia." she looked confuse but she didn't asked and ordered me to go back to my seat.

And the rest of them introduce theirselves. No one was seating beside me because of what happened in the bus and earlier in the assembly hall. It's fine with me and I want to be alone for now.

She start to discuss the Botany and I really love what I'm hearing. "We're here to take care of them and it will be useful for us especially to the witches or half-bloods who makes a potion or medicine."

"How about we start from Elena since she's been here for 2 years already." Elena rolled her eyes and stood up rudely. "I'm not answering, Ma'am." she said. I wasn't surprise that she has that kind of attitude.

Someone knocked on the door that made the class interrupt. "Can we seat in with her?" Astrid pointed me. What the hell are they doing here? All of them are here! The whole class went wild when they saw them.

"Seat beside me, Victor."

"Here!"

They have thick faces. "Can we, Ms. Irene?" I remember her, it's Michelle. She smiled and nodded. "Thank your schedule maker because you don't have your class for this day." she said to them. They made their entraince like a royal people.

Astrid, Michelle, and— "Chloe?" she playfully smiled at me. "Yes! They are my bestfriends!" I'm surprise and become shy when the all of them seat in the same row as mine. The row that I'm in is in the window and no one dared to seat infront of me or beside me.

"You didn't know anyone here?" Astrid asked. I nodded. "I don't need their fake attitudes and intentions. So, it's better to be alone than to be friends with some fake creature."

"Did you have any co-ed subject?" Michelle asked. "I do but I don't know if it was right for me." I answered.

"Okay, settle down! We will discuss about the herbal medicine that is safe to use as a medicine and a poison but remember that be cautious about the leaves or plants that you're going to touch."

I raised my hands. "Why is that? Someone taught me about the categories of poisonous plants and a safe plants that can be use for a potion but all of them can be use to a potion but it requires the risk of dying or getting poisoned by just smelling or touching it."

"Precisely! but some plants requires a unique way of using it." she presented to us a poisonous plant and a safe plants. I saw how she used her spell and chant to make the plant.

It's Angel's Trumpets that is only grow on amazon forest. The nectar of that plant is poisonous but Mama uses it for a dangerous poison that she was making.

We just listened to her and I'm taking a note to review or take my alone time in the library to further more study for all of this. An hour passed and we finished the class.

"Before you leave the class. I will be distributing your assignments in your dorms."

"Yes, Miss." we answered. "Okay. You may leave for your combat training." Combat Training? "Do you have any clothes for the combat training?" Chloe asked me. I shook my head.

They pulled me out in the room. "Where are you going, sis?" a man with deep blue ocean eyes the same as Astrid. He's the boy version of Astrid. "Who is that?" I asked her.

"He's my twin brother." she answered

"We will be taking care of our new friend here!" Chloe answered. "Then introduce her to us!" a guy shout. "Later! She wuil be joining the Co-Ed combat class!" Michelle shouted.

"We will lend you the clothes and tomorrow morning we can go to the square to bought your combat clothes." I nodded and smile. "Thank you." I thanked.

"I forgot to ask earlier. What is Regium?" I asked them. They look surprise. "Aren't you in the assembly hall earlier?" I shake my head. "I leave the hall and decided to wonder around the school." I replied.

"Regium is the top twelve students with unique and powerful abilities which was chosen in overall evaluatuion."

"What if someone got has the same score like yours?"

"The line up of Regium is not fixed into twelve the line up can add up if someone ties with me or to anyone of us."

"There will be another evaluation for those who tied up for that rank."

Oh! So, that is what Regium in this Academy. I get it. I learned a lot for this day. "Come on! We should change our clothes for co-ed subject." they instantly pulled me.
