Chapter 96: Mysterious Betrayal

"Erland, wake up, child! You must not fall like this!...Erland!" A male voice was calling Erland that was calm and gentle. There was a vibrating fury within the voice.

Erland was in the middle of nowhere, with his eyes closed. There were no light and he was floating in the air. He could be seen in the own faint green light radiating from him. He could feel a pain all over him, a burning sensation that was lurking from the tip of his soul.

"Erland!"

Erland opened his eyes, panting miserably. He groaned and screamed because of the burning pain he could feel. "Recognize me, my descendant?..." said a man standing in front of him. Erland has seen him in his dream before. This time, he had a fire all over him, slowly burning him away. Erland knew that it was no other than Hephaestus himself.
