CHAPTER 48: HUMAYUN CRYSTAL

"How about you pay your debts," Damon said with a sly smile

"What debts" Jia pretended to be oblivious

Damon winked at her and turned away

Jia shrugged it off

She walked around lazily

"It's found where the energy pulses are highest?" Jia muttered puzzled

"Yeah" Damon replied calmly

"Well, I know nothing about energy pulses" Jia continued with a sarcastic smile

"I got you covered" Damon answered with a smile

"Are you looking for the crystal?" Elizabeth asked observing Jia's minimal movements

"The truth is no. I don't plan on looking for it but if an opportunity presents itself, I don't mind" Jia answered smugly

Elizabeth understood Jia's hidden intention and smiled in response

"You're evil" Elizabeth commented

"That's my name" Jia replied with a smirk

Elizabeth shuddered in fear

[Ding! The host's name has now been registered as 'Evil '] The system announced

"W-What? H-How? I-My name is" Jia stuttered

[Shh Don't resist it]The system said childishly

Jia shrugged it off

"It's a good name anyway," Jia told the system

The system looked at her speechlessly

Jia looked around using all-seeing eyes and saw that some people had already found a crystal

Jia wanted to steal it but she remembered Sia's warning

This made her hesitant

Jia vanished to where the crystal was

It had an energy field that made it look like something to die for

"Are you really going to take the Humayun crystal for them?" Jia heard Damon say

"No" Jia replied coldly

Those that found the Humayun crystal stood there without blinking or breathing

They seemed to be in a sort of a trance

Jia stared at it in confusion

[Ding!

Mental attack detected] The system announced

"Don't block the attack" Jia ordered the system

Jia stood there but her soul was sucked into the crystal

INSIDE THE CRYSTAL

A man-made of crystal stood before them, watching like a slave trader

They were all chained up to each other

"Damn girl, what's going on here," Damon asked with a sigh

"I don't know" Jia replied slightly tugging at the chains

"Then why did you go in," Damon asked

"You know why" Jia replied with a smug look

" Alright, Silence! "The crystal man said with a domineering aura

The place turned so quiet that a pin drop could be heard

Every other person shivered in fear except Jia and Damon

They looked indifferent

Jia stared the crystal man in the eye making him subconsciously look away

The crystal man loosed Jia and Damon

" You two, come with me," The crystal man said with a gruff voice

Jia followed behind him nonchalantly

The crystal man brought them before a larger crystal man

"My king," He said with a bow

"You can leave now," The crystal king told the crystal man

The crystal king stared at them for a couple of minutes

"What do you want from us," The crystal king asked

He seemed to slightly shiver in fear

"The Humayun crystal. Lots of it" Jia answered straightforwardly

"You know that if the Humayun crystal does not accept you, You can't take them out of here, " The crystal king said seriously

"And besides that, What do you want to exchange with us for the crystals" The crystal king asked cunningly

Jia thought for a while

She brought out Zi

"This is a war machine

This should be enough" Jia said with uncertainty

The crystal king opened his mouth in shock

"This is more than enough," The crystal king said with excitement

"There's a clause. If the crystal doesn't accept me, I'm going to take back my war machine" Jia told the king

"Oi, Oi Freyja get out here," The king said excitedly.

Another crystal figure rushed out hurriedly

"Take her to the crystal room" The crystal king ordered

"But my king.." The crystal figure tried to say

"Oi, That's an order," The king said.

The crystal figure on the ground stood up and asked Jia to follow it

They got to a door and the crystal figure stopped

"Freyja, Aren't you going to open the door," Jia asked confused

"No" The crystal figure answered coldly and walked away

"That crystal is most likely to be a girl" Damon commented

Jia looked at him as if to say 'Why '

"That darn attitude," Damon said cheekily

Jia looked at him for a while

"How do we open the damn door," Jia asked slightly angry

Damon sighed dramatically

"If I do it now, You're going to owe me another one and I don't like debts," Damon said childishly

"You never told me what you wanted" Jia retorted in exasperation

"Just open it" Jia commanded

Damon did a weird symbol and the door opened

"There. Simple" Damon said proudly
