Ch.21 Hatred and war

With the second shinobi war looming in the wind tensions grew high as the days passed. Kyū had taken to meditation, though he oddly found no real use in it.

Stein continued buisness as usual and Tatsumaki had been helping him leaving Kyū to collect himself over the days. Kyū's goal as of recent had been to become a student of the academy later so he could gain a sense of Shinobi team work aswell as basic skills he didn't feel he needed to train apon.

In the time that had passed nisy had gained a bit of personality, becoming more helpful in everyday tasks, but it cause stein and Tatsumaki to become slightly lazy as they didn't have to learn things anymore.

Kyū eventually went outside the house and strolled around the woods but eventually sat beneath a tree. He knew he hadn't spoken with the nine tails recently so he felt he should check on him.

{Within mind scape}

"Are you awake" Kyū called out causing an echo to ring throughout the blank space as a big puff of smoke bellowed out of the nine tails nose and it's eyes opened.

"What do you want child" kurama said as his eyes observed Kyūseishu's figure quickly hoping to see Hagoromo.

"I wanted chat, I feel I'm entitled to that at least" Kyū chuckled as he watched kurama look about frantically to see if anyone was with him.

"What about? do not waste my time!" Kurama once again said but sat up and began looming over Kyū with a glare.

"Well..first we have gone forward in time and the worlds changed vastly, and secondly...why ur so angry" Kyū said as he sat down causing the water like floor to part a bit

"Forward in time...ant what do you mean, you cannot go forward in time" Kurama said skeptically as he observed Kyū before realizing he wasent lying.

"You never answered my second question" Kyū said impatiently as he watched the tailed beast gawk at him

"...because other's seek my power, and like you to imprison me for it or to manipulate me" Kurama said as he looked away

"Do you feel I've imprisoned you....I can release you, but my body won't exactly let you go...for an assortment of reasons" Kyū said with a nod "You'd be tethered to me..and couldn't exactly go against my whim..and mine alone others wouldn't be able to control you"

kurama sat in silence for a few moments before he huffed "No...I'd rather stay here then be controlled by you, I don't see what he sees in you..." Kurama said and layed his head down and went back to sleep causing Kyū to leave the mindscape

{Back outside}

"Stubborn beast" Kyū mumbled with a smile as he sat there for a few more minutes and eventually got up to wander more. He had remembered that Madara didn't truely die later on, but felt he'd let the world continue on like planned....well mostly, he knew he'd have to join the academy around the same time as kakashi, obito, and rin to watch the hokage..but he felt the world would steer off course due to his involvement.

Kyū eventually wandered back home and sat down in blank thought. He wanted to know what would change due to him taking the nine tails, and feared what would happen due to the fact he could predict the future because of his actions.

{Steins pov}

"No that's not where that goes" Stein said as he watched Tatsumaki sort scrolls from the restaurants past years.

"What do you mean I just did that a second ago and you said it was good" She looked at him in confusion

"That was for a different file..." He'd say shaking his head, and heard a knock at the door to his office. "Sir the hokage is advising you to shut the restaurant down until the tension passes...he thinks you'll be targeted" An employee said from outside the room.

"Tell him once again, the restaurant will be fine master will protect it, along with us" Stein said knowing fairly well he'd have to protect it on his own, Kyū had told him multiple times that the buisness was his own to protect and that he didn't want any restrictions on himself.

The employee only nodded and walked off leaving Tatsumaki and Stein to look at each other. "He's a dead beat" Tatsumaki said to Stein causing him to raise an eyebrow.

"Who is?" Stein asked only to get a giggle and a short response "Who else...mast-" Tatsumaki said and began to sweat as nisy spoke up

{~Please refrain from insulting our master...I'd hate to prepare punishments for being insolent}

"Never mind" Tatsumaki said and went back to work causing Stein to chuckle.
