Chapter 4

Gab doesn't know how to cook but seeing the pheasant they had hunted before . He pondered over what method it should be cooked . A few munites later , Gab decided to just roast it .

Late at night , there's a bonfire in front of the thatched house burning surrounded by the siblings . Rose was busy rolling the pin stabbed inside the pheasant while Gab brushed the surface of the pheasant with soy sauce , lemon , honey ( from the space ) and some other ingredients . When Gab thinks that it can now be eaten , he pinched some flesh from it and tried .

" Good "

Gab immediately lifted the pin and beckoned to the small girl inside the house . Gab put the roasted pheasant on a plate and went to the kitchen to fetch some rice and wooden utensils .

The two put their hands together and stated.  " Thank you for the blessings! "

Rose the immediate lifted her spoon . " Let's eat! let's eat! let's eat! "

" Slowly , you'll get choked.  "

" Owkey! "

While the two are savoring their dinner a knock on the door suddenly rang out . Gab and Rose paused their movements . Gab was just sitting behind the door and they were eating on the floor . He slowly opened the door and saw a man carrying a box .

" How may i help you? Sir? "

Gab opened the door completely revealing that they were still eating . The clergy suddenly felt uncomfortable . " Oh , you guys are actually still eating? I'm so sorry for the disturbance.  "

Rose sitting beside Gab immediately shook her head . " No uncle , we're totally fine with it . What businesses are you carrying right now uncle ? How may we help you? "

Seeing her cute appearance although malnourished. Ian's uncomfortable countenance softened.  " I'm here to match some family members with the other villagers nearby.  Are you interested on finding your true love? "

" True love? " Gab raised his brow in amusement .

Gab sneered , he was only around 14 years old . Why would he bother find his true love when they are still striving for a stable life.  " I'm not planning on dating yet . " He responded in a quiet voice .

However , Ian could still hear it due to the night's silence .                                                                            

Ian suddenly fell silent and doesn't know what to say . Throughout the whole neighborhood , no one has ever disrespected him such as how the child did to him but honestly he did ot feel offended nor angry about it .

Rose however wants her brother to marry . their family is poor and her brother's body is still weak and malnourished like her . If her brother marries a wife , the there would be someone who could take good care of her brother .

Gab looked at the complicated look on his sister and also fell silent . His body is still considered minor as he is still about 14 years old . Although his mentally old , his appearance is still minor .

Rose looked intensely at her brother's pondering look . " Brother , if you have a wife . There would be someone taking care of me while you hunt . "

Gab suddenly blinked and looked at Rose's face then slowly realized that she has a point . If he has a wife , his wife would take good care of Rose . Then he can freely hunt in the forest without any worry .

Gab immediately put his hands inside the box and looked at the red card . " Wish me luck , Rose.  "

" Good luck! Brother! "

Ian suddenly chuckled seeing the duo's interaction and felt that these pair of siblings are really pitiful . They don't have any parents to take good care of them and now ... He heard that this malnourished boy hunts in the forest? That's really dangerous .

Gab opened the card and looked at the letter inside.  " This gentleman shamelessly desires to behold your beauty and embrace you within my warm embrace. " Gab read out loud and frowned .

" What the f*ck is this , since when did i become a lady ? "

Ian smiling from the side suddenly froze in shock . " What? "

" Should we ever be married . This gentleman promises that i will take care of you for the rest of my life " Gab's mouth gaped open in speechlessness .

" This guy is shameless hah . "

Ian covered his mouth and laughed.  " Pffft .... Bwahahaha . "

Rose curiously looked at the paper and also read the text but unfortunately , she couldn't read alphabets so she reluctantly withdrew . She then curiously looked at the laughing Matchmaker and couldn't help thinking how did this young clergy managed to become a reputable Matchmaker in town .

Gab looked at Ian then asked . " Who is this guy? "

Ian wiped his tears and chuckled . " That's the loner man in the neighboring village . He's from our Willow Village , famous for being a bachelor at the age of 18 . Men at his age already had three to four sons and daughters yet this man is still single at the age of 18 . He's unapproachable and often dazed around , but he's well off and owns a lot of land . "

Gab nodded and gave the card back to Ian . " Well , I can't marry this man . Let me pick again , this time , it should be a woman. "

Ian widened his eyes and immediately moved the box away from him . " Boy , it's forbidden to pick again . Once you pick a card , that's your true love already . "

" Bullshit , i don't believe in true love . "

" Trust me! That guy will satisfy your sexual needs . "

Gab's mouth gaped open in shock . " I'm still a minor . "

" What minor? You're no longer a minor boy , although you really look one but once you eat a lot of healthy foods , I'm sure you'll go back to your true appearance . Don't you know that people in our place already marry at the age of 14? Give birth at the age of 15 and become a grandpa at the age of 30+? "

" Don't tell me you'll going to remain bachelor like that guy? "

A surprise look surfaced upon Gab's mouth and looked speechlessly at Rose . " Is what he said true? "

Rose blinked her eyes and nodded . " Yes , brother . "

TF....

I shouldn't have picked earlier .

Ian shamelessly gave Gabriel a smile and said . " I'll bring him to you tomorrow . Get to know each other and do papapa ok? I'm sure he'll take good care of you two . "

" No!!! " Gab

"Bye bye!! " Ian immediately ran away with his matchmaking box and disappeared into the darkness .

Gab suddenly felt full and put down his spoon . " Shameless! So shameless!!! "

Rose scratched her head and worriedly looked at her brother . " Brother , how can you guys reproduce if you're both men? "

" That's also what i am perplexed about . Ian doesn't even bat an eye as he match us both men together . He doesn't really know shame . " Gab clicked his tongue and frowned .

Rose sighed and arranged the plates back to the kitchen . Truthfully , she's excited about the man her brother is going to marry . She doesn't really care if her brother married a wife or a husband , as long as he or she gives them some food to eat .

Time passed by as Gab gradually forgot about Ian's business and began to think about what business is he going to do in the future to earn money . Truthfully , he can just hunt in the forest everyday but that would ruin the ecosystem of the forest and disrupt the stable food chain .

Gab closed his eyes and summoned a sealed box containing some crystal nuclei and started absorbing it into his body . When the heat of the nuclei entered his body , Gab suddenly opened his eyes as it turned cold .

His level had indeed fell down. He had a rare triple ability of metal , wood and ice ability . He was feared by most of the ability users in the apocalypse world in his past life yet who would have thought that he would be reduced into this state. 

Gab closed his eyes again to absorb the spiritual energy inside . His level barely passed the boundary of level one . If his strength was based on some fictional power system , he would have been an F rank hunter or ability user.  Moreover , his body is still malnourished and unhealthy.  He has to stuff his flesh and muscles more in the future and never starve his family again . And of course , speaking of family , Rose was his only family for now .

He couldn't even produce a bucket of water and could only make one drop at a time . For an ice power system like him . He couldn't believe he is so pathetic .

The warrior who previously owned the space before had sealed quite a lot of nuclei . There's even an 8th rank nuclei inside .

But he can only absorb a level 1 crystal nuclei for now .

Gab spent his night thinking about his past life and making money before sleeping . When the new dawn arrived , Gab immediately woke up and started preparing for the new day . Today is his second day in this world and he still felt unfamiliar waking up in this thatched house . He usually changed bases in his past life but now that his sense of crisis relaxed and he doesn't have to worry about zombies , his thoughts went back to his environment and felt that he felt unfamiliar in this place . Now that he was no longer distracted by the thoughts of pursuing strength and survival , he now felt lost and blank .

He really got reborn and was given a second chance to live .

" Good morning " a milky voice greeted Gab .

Gab hearing such sweet voice couldn't help softening his expression and greeted back . " Morning , Rose . "

" The sun has risen in the sky and is shining again on this new day. ." Rose said and sat down beside him .

Gab and Rose bask under the sun's light and relaxed their muscles.  A few munites later , Gab brought Rose to the kitchen where he has already boiled water for Rose's bath .

" Take a bath . " Gab said and handed her the small dipper .

While Rose poured down water on her head . She suddenly felt her brother brushing her hair.  Rose subconsciously touched her hair and looked at her hands filled with white bubbles .

" What's this? Brother? "

" Shampoo , it removes dirt , debris , oil ,and dandruffs . It also moisturizes hair and make your hair smell good . "

Rose sniffed the bubbles and looked at her brother standing behind her massaging her scalp with a look of excitement . " Wow , it smells nice . "

" I know . " 

Gab quietly indulged Rose with bath products from the space . Not long after washing up , Rose became completely clean and fragrant .

Rose excited smelled herself and suddenly felt heaven . " Waaah , brother . I smell so clean and i feel so light . "

Rose immediately covered her head with a towel and took out a simple brown t shirt and a dress with some crisscross on the chest from the space . Gab thought to himself that what's the use of the space if he doesn't use the items inside . Moreover , the clothing style of the ancient people is simple . He thought that the original owner of the space must have robbed a large mall before and even went into the section of some medieval costumes .

He could even see some gorgeous dresses of different periods in the space . Unfortunately , as commoners , there's no way he could let Rose use that . Gab took out a coif and covered Rose's head .

Rose , seeing her new attire was stunned . Where did this dress pop out .

" I secretly bought it from a clothing shop . "He lied .

Rose puckered her lips in distress . " But brother , this must have costed a lot . Look at the material of the dress , it's not even coarse nor linen . "

Gab touched the fabric and realized that the fabric is a cotton . " Who cares? It's your dress . Your dress is so pretty and you're so pretty.  Let the neighborhood's kids envy you . "

It's not that he cannot protect this girl . He'll kill them if they dare snatch her dress .

Rose looked carefully at her brother and suddenly realized that her brother looks more handsome than the usual today . " Wow brother , you got new clothes too . "

Gab is doned in a white shirt today with a maroon vest over the shirt . He only wore black pants on his lower half but for a commoner like him , its so rare to not spot a single hole on his clothes .

" We're so pretty and handsome today . "

Gab smiled . " Yes "

" Is it because you're going to marry brother? "

Gab's face suddenly cracked as his mouth twitched .

The door suddenly knocked . The duo then simultaneously looked outside of their doorstep .

Gab looked out and saw Ian's shameless smile first but Gab did not smile for him . Rose on the other hand immediately noticed someone's presence behind Ian .

There he saw a handsome man following Ian .

Wow ... Is this my brother-in-law?
