Guo Jinnian smirked, "I didn't cry even when my arm was broken. Why are you crying?"
Han Enzhen, hearing this, immediately stopped her tears, "What do we do now? Will those people search for us floor by floor?"
Tong Yao looked at the intermittent flashes of light in the air and nodded, "Possibly, they should have guessed that we couldn't have gone far. They're likely to start searching the surrounding houses if they can't find us around here."
Startled, Han Enzhen swallowed her saliva, "Should we hide somewhere more concealed?"
Tong Yao shook her head, "Let's see how things pan out. The place is flooded, and entering many houses is out of question right now. Let's just hide here! It's safe at least for the time being. It will be better when daylight comes."
Han Enzhen had no choice but to nod obediently. Guo Jinnian seemed fine, having experienced much more. Used to handling matters alone in the past, the presence of Tong Yao now put her at ease, making her feel safe.
