How much can a talentless kid accomplish in the shinobi world with the help of a Dark Souls System? Hopefully you will find answers to your questions by reading my fanfic.
Yash immediately leveled up his stats at the bonfire using the souls he got in order to test if they have any physical effects. The first thing he leveled up was strength and its effects were very noticeable. His muscle strength increased meaning he could lift more now and do other thing which were previously impossible like a single arm push up.
However he got a little to excited and ended up using all his souls to level strength. It was too late now so he went on and collected all the items form the corpses. He then talked to Petrus, the miracle merchant, to get the copper coin.
Now, it was time to return back to his world.
It was already night time in the village and Yash's corpse was being eaten by stray cats. The boys that beat him to death had already left to their homes. And then suddenly the corpse started to regenerate it injuries even growing the missing eyes back. And then it stood up completely healed now.
"It's already dark! How long did I spend in there?"
Yash then searched for Naruto, he wanted to make sure the boy wasn't hurt. Later he found Naruto inside his apartment, the boy cried after seeing me because he though I was dead. He wasn't wrong but explaining what happened to him was not a good idea so Yash acted along.
Later when he returned back to his home he was faced with a concerned father.
"Why are you so late? Didn't I tell you to return after sunset."
"I planned on returning in time but I was attacked my a group of boys. I managed to stop them long enough for Naruto to run away but then I got knocked out and woke up 2 hours later."
"Is that right? You did good then. Did you manage to hurt anyone of them before going down?"
"Yes, 3 of them actually but only one of them went to sleep. The rest were just hurt."
"Haha! Looks like that training paid off. Now tell me, where are you hurt?"
"I didn't got injured, not even a scratch. I am very durable after all."
Yash said that last part as a joke but looks like his father took it seriously.
"Hmm... Then lets have dinner. You have to wake up early tomorrow."
The two of them then went on with their lives.
Few days later,
"He fought 5 Genin alone and returned without a scratch. I think that's enough reason to let him in the academy."
Yash's father said to the head master of the academy.
"Sir, he can't mold chakra. If he joins he is going to have a hard time graduating."
"Might Guy became a Jonin."
"Sir, not everyone has that kind of potential."
"How will you know if you don't give him a chance?"
The head master went silent.
That night during dinner,
"Son, you are going to the academy."
"What? Why?"
"You are a better at fighting then you are at blacksmithing, that's why. Your classes starts from tomorrow so be prepared."
Yash know he couldn't do anything about it. His father can't be negotiated with when he get serious. Yash now had to go.
The next day Yash went to academy. The experience was like returning to school and Yash didn't like the 2 hour long lectures. He sat in the corner bench alone mostly distracted by his own thoughts.
He struggled to find the answers to 2 questions in specific. What can I earn from Dark Souls? and How will that help me in the real world?
He couldn't find the answer to those question during lectures and now it was time for outdoor activities.
The instructor made us, the students, fight each other during ours first outdoor class in order to examine our skills. The first fight was between an Akimichi clan member and a hyuga clan member.
Both of the boys were very excited to show there strength, they were almost feverish.
As soon as the match began, the Akimichi used partial expansion jutsu to make his arms bigger and the hyuga took the gentle fist stands. The Akimichi then ran towards the hyuga and swung his arms aggressively but the hyuga kept dodged by backstepping. However, now the hyuga was at the end of the ring with no place to backstep and the Akimichi was still moving forward with his wild hooks.
The hyuga tried to duck under the attack and circle around the Akimichi to return to the center of the ring but got hit in the head while attempting it. Now the hyuga dazed and struggling to stay on his feet and the Akimichi used that opportunity to land few more punches. The hyuga couldn't couldn't defend and was beaten unconscious.
The Akimichi won that match. Now it was Yash's turn, his opponent was also a hyuga.
Its strange to make a hyuga fight a nobody like Yash but there is no use complaining. They both took position and the match began.
Yash treated the hyuga as a boxer by relaying on calf kicks to slowly take away his movement but that didn't work. The hyuga managed to punish any advances Yash made by a clean punch to the face and after 3 exchanges Yash was hurt.
As a last ditch effort Yash went for a double leg takedown and was successful. Now that they were on the ground Yash could use his newly gained strength to basically manhandle his opponent. He managed to get a side mount and then started pounding away. Just as Yash was about to win the hyuga managed to escape Yash's hold and stand back up.
Yash went for another takedown attempt but got knocked out instead by a clean punch to the jaw. He lost.
Even though Yash lost the fight and was now laying on the ground unconscious, he caught everyone's attention. A boy who is incapable of molding chakra and with no prior training what so ever managed to almost beat a hyuga.
