Chapter 9: Clash of Elements
As John ventured beyond the familiar confines of the forest, his path collided with a formidable beast, its massive form resembling that of a bull, but with a body composed entirely of rugged stone. The ground trembled beneath the creature's hooves, and its eyes glowed with an ancient, primal rage.
Azrael, hidden from sight but ever-present, spoke to John in a calm yet commanding voice. "Show me what you have learned, John. Unleash the powers that flow through your veins and let your mastery of magic shine."
With a deep breath, John centered himself, his heart beating with a blend of excitement and determination. He focused his energy, drawing upon the elements that resonated within him. The air whispered around him, the earth responded to his touch, and the fire ignited with his will.

John heeded the dragon's counsel, his mind quickening as he assessed the situation. The water, an element he had yet to fully employ, beckoned him. He called forth a deluge, cascading waves that crashed upon the rocky hide of the beast.
As the water made contact, a remarkable change occurred. The rock, once impenetrable, began to soften and erode under the assault of the liquid element. The beast roared in frustration, its defenses weakening with each moment.
Empowered by his discovery, John seized the opportunity. With a final surge of energy, he summoned a powerful gust of wind, swirling around the creature, amplifying the erosion caused by the water. The combination of water and air battered the beast, eroding its stony form until it crumbled to pieces.
As the dust settled, John stood victorious, his chest heaving with exertion. The battle had been fierce, but his mastery of the elements had prevailed. He turned his gaze to where Azrael remained hidden, a knowing smile playing on his lips.
