Flinging the brothers bodies off his bone whips, he stared Yuno down and with a cold and arrogant voice he said-

Facing those piercing red eyes, something deep inside of Yuno was shaken.

Looking at the broken and unmoving bodies of Langris and Finral, all the feelings he had bottled up inside finally began to pour out.

The death of half of his squad... His captain being taken... The intense training he put himself through...

It all meant nothing.

Why *sniff* why am I so goddamn weak!

After all the posturing he did in front of the captains, when it came down to it, he couldn't do a damn thing.

The moment that grimoire appeared in front of Yuno, a beam of light errupted put from the castle and broke open the dark clouds that hung above the Spade kingdom and opened up the heavens.

Even Asta; who was closing in on the kingdom could see it.

'I knew it!' Patri gasped upon seeing the beam break open the clouds. 'That boy's wind magic, it definitely came from Licht and Tetia-'

Even the loyal soldiers of the Spade resistance could recognize the warmth in this mana.

Sensing the new fluctuations of mana, Zenon's eyes were drawn to the hole in the wall.

"I will save my captain."

"And I will beat you."

Walking through the hole in his torn up clothes and with Bell laying in his palm, two grimoire floated in front of him. Each glowing with two distinct colours, gusts of green coloured wind and twinkling white lights swirled around Yuno's figure.

"So get ready, because you're going down!"

"Oi Grim, do you feel that?"

"Stop trying to distract me, two more minutes and you'll owe me 100 yul."

Of course he felt it. Yuno was on his bullshit again.

Watching everything through his [Hyper Focus], the sight of Yuno standing up to Zenon naturally fell into his eyes.

Two grimoires? Now what kind of shit is this?

In the entirety of the Clover Kingdom, he only considered three people amongst his age group interesting.

Remembering what Vanica had previously said- the previous king of the Spade Kingdom wielded Sun magic while his wife the queen wielded Moon magic.

Suddenly chuckling to himself then bursting out into a state of extreme laughter, Yami made a face and slowly took a step back.

'Seriously, what is wrong with this kid?'

While Grim was busy spectating the fight, Yami focused on the irregular beat in his chest. Ever since Grim had freed him, he felt like something was different.

Whatever that ritual was about, it had completely messed up his body. It was something that even Grim had noticed. Having looked at Yami's body with his [Hyper Focus], he had a pretty good grasp on what the ritual had done to him. While he may look okay on the outside, it was completely different on the inside.

If he had to describe it, it would be that the current Yami was an entity closer to that of a devil than a human. From his heart to his organs, they had all transformed. It was honestly amazing in its own way. Retaining his human appearance and personality but brimming with magic power equal to that of a devil.

Yami... He was something else.

'Man, what's with all these humans gaining devil-like qualities?'

'First there was that shadow guy who could use that [Devil Union] power to fuse with his contracted devils. Then it was Zenon who somehow managed to become an actual devil, and now it's Yami and his human/devil influenced body.'

Seriously, what the hell even is today?

The only thing that made sense was Mereoleona killing that demon outside. And that only made sense because she had that DAWG in her.

As for all this other shit? It was a surprise... but a welcomed one.
