Brandon Piers never dreamed that he would one day be rejected for being too good-looking.
Looking at Housekeeper Piers's honest old face, he immediately felt as annoyed as he did with his grandfather.
But no matter how dissatisfied Brandon was, the decision was already made.
The next day, Abigail got up early and found that Aunt Claudia and Uncle Piers were already ready to go.
She glanced at the time, then at the two of them. "It's only seven. How about you have breakfast first?"
"We've already eaten," Aunt Claudia quickly responded.
Housekeeper Piers nodded along.
Abigail looked at herself. "Well... I haven't eaten yet."
She had just finished feeding the little one and came out to see these two elders dressed so formally. She didn't know whether to be touched or to laugh.
"No rush, you eat. We're not in a hurry," Aunt Claudia quickly said.
But the two of them showed no intention of leaving.
