Chapter 11: Mistake

[PRESENT TIME ]

[ALEX'S POV ]

Shaking off all the useless thoughts away. Alex started to assimilate the plants he had bought. Excited to see the results.

One after another he started to absorb all the plants that he had bought. After absorbing all the plants Alex waited and his body was assimilating the genetic structure of the plant to manifest their characteristics.

Since the biological structure of plants is much simpler, Alex was able to manifest some of the abilities rather quickly as compared to the time it took to assimilate the Sharingan.

After a couple of hours, Alex raised his hands and looked at his palms as they started to turn purple because of the presence of poison glands on his body.

Alex: "Ohh! The poisonous plants have been associated!!!"

'So I can produce poison from any part of my body now....neat. Now that would be very OP in close combat, Like one of the homies of Danzo from the Aburame clan. And on top of that, I can combine it with the spore technique...Huhuhahahaha'

Alex laughed internally like a street thug who got his greasy hands on a gun.

After waiting for some more time Alex assimilated another plant with different Venusflytrap-like appendages.

"hmm.....Now I have some more options for styling my look...nice"

After waiting for some more time Alex assimilated all the plants as they just got integrated into his body like the poison glands and he could use them in different ways by manipulating his own body.

"Hmm....I have checked everything now. So having absorbed these plants I am kind of immune to their effects and also resistant to other similar substances like different types of poisons to some degree "

'But I guess I have to absorb more potent poisons to improve upon it.'

"Well it is what it is, I'll look into it later. Right now I have to try out my abilities and proceed with the plan ."

Saying that Alex transformed back into Naruhito and left the inn.

Arriving at the edge of the forest Naru started looking for some wild beasts. Finding a wild boar Naru released his paralysis spores as the spores reached the boar, its body turned stiff within minutes and the boar stood like a statue.

Observing the boar Naru said, "The paralysis is potential for ordinary and genin level individuals but I think it needs some more testing for a real powerhouse."

'Also the activation time for it to take effect has to be reduced. Direct injection would be much faster but lacks subtlety. Got to work on that.' thought Alex.

After that, he used the sleep powder technique that he had created from the plant.

Causing the boar to go to sleep while standing still paralysed.

Lastly, he used the poison mist technique, releasing poisonous smoke as he exhaled causing the boar as well as other small animals and birds to start to die in the forest causing quite the commotion.

"Well looks like I over did it. Guess it's time to bail" said Naru as he discreetly made his way back to his room. Unbothered about the ruckus that he had just caused.

Arriving at his room Naru started to plan what he would do next.

Naru: "Hmm what to do next....I can either go to the Yamanaka residence and try to extract their clan jutsu or I can wait for a few days and first try to copy the jutsu of the Nara clan."

'Decisions decisions which to pick first.'

After thinking for some time Naru finally settled on the Yamanaka clan and the Nare would be a little easier if he had the Yamanaka mind walk technique.

After finalising his plan Naru lay on the bed and contemplated whom should he target.

' The Yamanaka clan is still in its early stages and doesn't have as many clan jutsu as they have in future. So it would be a good choice to go for the elders of the clan as they have more experience in the said jutsu. But that also causes the issue that the elders are veteran ninjas with strong minds as being a Yamanaka.'

"Ok let's just sneak attack an elder and hope nothing will go wrong" said Naru as he waited for the night.

[At MIDNIGHT ]

[ALEX'S POV ]

It was midnight and Alex headed to the Yamanaka clan residence leaving Naru as a safe, just in case something happened to him.

As he moves through the clan compound looking for a suitable candidate to abduct. He saw an elder of the clan sleeping in a modest house just a few houses from the clan head's house.

'Hm, it looks like the house of a prominent elder of the Yamanaka clan. This should be good enough.' thought Alex as he silently made his way to the elder's house.

Arriving at the elder's house Alex didn't see any personal guards other than one or two border guards that guard the clan compound.

'HmmIi guess there are fewer guards because they haven't become a prominent clan yet'

Alex made his way to the elder's bedroom and observed the elder for some time. After making sure he was asleep Alex slowly released his spore and waited for it to infect the elder.

After waiting for some time Alex decided it was time to act. Reading himself Alex decided to activate the spores technique to incapacitate the yamanaka elder and made a clone to carry him out of the yamanaka residence.

Just as Alex formed the hand seal to activate the spores technique. The Yamanaka elder sprang out in action ready to attack any intruders, contrary to his asleep position.

Yamanaka elder: whoever you are come out and you will get a painless death." said the Yamanaka elder looking in the direction of Alex.

Looking at the outcome Alex was startled and panicked.

'I knew something would go wrong...Can he sense me?' Thought Alex looking into the eyes of the yamanaka elder.
