School Battle: Hoya vs. Fraskia (2)

The School Battle raged on and the second battle was going underway. The battle was between Misao and Mae.

I opened my eyes to see what was going on and sighed. "I lost didn't I?" I asked.

"Horribly." Orishi said. "But... You didn't go down as easily as Yan Mei thought you would."

"Still a loss and a free point for St. Hoya..." I muttered.

"Hey it's alright. There is always a next time." Orishi ruffled my hair.

Misao ran towards Mae and her eyes shined. She perfectly dodged Mae's attacks then energy clones of herself appeared on the battlefield and struck Mae one by one quickly then Mae appear above Mae and slashed down. Mae dodged her final attack then punched Misao's face and she grunted, but endured the attack.

"Misao is just enduring each hit Mae dishes out! These attacks aren't light either! Misao is determined to win this battle!" The announcer yelled.

"You're very durable...The monsters I fought are also extremely durable. Especially my boyfriend's sister. Sadly you'll never amount to any of them nor amount to me. Just like Hisumi, you're a good fighter but you won't beat me." Mae said then punched Misao's stomach then looked shocked when she endured more attacks.

"You haven't seen all I can do...Raksha Flash!" Misao yelled then a flash of light blinded Mae for a second then she regained her sight.

Mae looked around for Misao. "Where..."

"This is where Misao shines. She was born into a ninja and assassin family. She's not typically your hard hitter because she needs elemental energy to hit hard, but she's unrivaled in speed and mobility. She's like a Slow Start person, but once she's in the zone...combine speed with attack and her high endurance...You've got yourself a force not to be reckoned with." Orishi said.

Misao appeared beside Mae then struck her and vanished. Mae grunted and looked around. She couldn't track down Misao as she became too fast. Mae sensed Misao then went for an attack, but Misao used her Light Energy to blind Mae then Misao went for a powerful kick, hitting Mae and sent her flying. Mae groaned then landed on one knee.

"Misao uses three elemental energies: Fire, Lightning, and Light. Most would use Light to bypass defenses since that's mainly what Light Users do, but Misao uses her Light Energy to blind her targets. She also uses her light in other ways. She uses her Light Energy to move at light-speeds. She's the fastest Valkyria we have so far. She doesn't use all three elements at the same time, but she can in fact switch between them. She's one of the most versatile Valkyrias we have and she's amazing when she gets in the zone." Orishi nodded.

Mae grunted as Misao kicked her away. Mae slid backwards and panted then looked up at Misao. Misao dashed to Mae then vanished and appeared behind her. Mae turned around then went for an attack. Misao parried her then hit Mae with a fire slash and Mae groaned then Misao continued to hit Mae with fire slashes then spun around and slashed, hitting Mae. Mae was sent flying in the air then Misao charged up lightning energy. I watched her in awe then noticed her put on her kitsune mask.

"Asura." Misao said then a kitsune made from her lightning energy appeared then hit Mae with a powerful bolt of purple lightning. Mae groaned then hit the ground and bounced back up. Five lightning clones surrounded Mae in the air the struck her all at once then Misao appeared above Mae and slashed down, causing her to crash down to the ground.

"Mae Ara is unable to battle! One point goes to the St. Fraskia Academy!" The referee said and the crowd cheered.

"WOW! What a battle that was! Misao brought it back even when she was out matched in skill! Her speed and quick thinking allowed her to snag a win right from under Mae's nose!" The announcer said.

"I want to use Lightning like that." I said then watched Misao walk back towards us.

"In due time you will know how to use Lightning like she can. All it takes is a lot of practice and training." Orishi nodded.

"Are those two the only ones from St. Hoya who can fight?" I asked.

"Nope, they have two more named Mina Sako and Nana Toriyama." Orishi said.

"Mina will avenge you Mae! Mina will take down St. Fraskia alone!" A girl with brown hair tied in a ponytail said. She had bright blue hazel eyes and wore a pink battlesuit.

"Saito will take on Mina." Saito said then stood up. She went down to the battlegrounds.

"Our next match is up against the leader of my favorite band, Electrica Bunnies! It is Saito against our cute little analytical genius, Mina! This is an interesting battle! I don't know who to cheer for!" The announcer yelled.

"Begin!" The referee said then vanished.

Saito summoned her cannons and released massive beams of spirit energy. Mina swiftly dodged the beams and ran to Saito quickly then jumped up and somersaulted forward into a devastating axe kick. Saito summoned a shield and perfectly blocked the attack then a burst of Spirit Energy blew Mina away. Mina grunted then recovered off one hand then flipped backwards then landed on her feet.

"Downloading...Ice Element downloaded." Saito said then instantly learned how to use the Ice Element then skated over to Mina in her hover shoes.

Mina dashed over to Saito then went for a punch at Saito. Saito dodged and tiny mechas appeared around Mina then fired off shards of ice at her. Mina dodged each one then threw down a smoke bomb. Saito stopped her attack then scanned the area for Mina using her heat sensors. Her eye beeped then she ducked, dodging an attack from Mina. Mina looked surprised then groaned as she was hit by Saito's spinning kick.

"Saito seems to have an upper hand over Mina with that nice dodge and a decisive kick! Saito is really showing the world that she's more than just an android but also an excellent fighter!" The announcer said.

"Let's go Saito!" I cheered on for Saito.

Saito slightly blushed hearing me cheer for her then looked at Mina. Mina stood up and wiped her mouth.

"Mina believes you to being powerful. But, Mina will not lose to you!" Mina bellowed and her aura surged powerfully. Her hair tie snapped and her hair turned red. She began to enter into a new mode. "This is my Awakened State...This is Zenith Mode Mina and you stand no chance.."

Saito looked at Mina then her arms changed into cannons and she began to charge up. "Overload Mode activate."

"Overload..?" I asked.

"Saito is going all out for one singular attack. Overload Mode is her mode powerful mode no matter which battlesuit she wears." Orishi explained.

Mina dashed towards Saito at hyper speeds and went for a kick but a barrier blocked the attack. The barrier cracked when Mina hit it. Mina landed on the ground and went for another attack on the barrier and the barrier cracked more. Saito's eyes shined red and the barrier exploded, blowing Mina backwards. Mina rolled backwards and grunted lightly then looked at Saito.

Saito's energy shined multiple colors and she held her hand out. "Final Chrome." Saito said then a massive multicolored beam fired from her cannon.

Mina dodged it then dashed to Saito. Her eyes widened when a second Final Chrome fired from a different cannon Saito summoned. Mina yelled then an explosion happened and the entire crowd was stunned. The smoke cleared and Mina fell to her knees and her battlesuit vanished from her body.

"Mina is unable to battle! One point goes to St. Fraskia academy!" The referee said then the crowd cheered.

"Saito! You did it!" I said excitedly.

Saito looked at me then nodded and her systems failed then she shut down and fell to the ground. I looked surprised then hurried onto the battlefield to get her. Orishi quickly followed behind me. I checked on Saito and held her in my arms then checked the back on her neck.

"We need a time out. She's out of power. Overload Mode drains her power like that..?" I asked.

"Unfortunately yes. It's a drawback to the overburst of power she receives when using it." Orishi said. "Hey Ref, we need a timeout for a bit. Our teammate is in of immediate service."

The referee nodded then held his hands up. "Timeout! St. Fraskia!"

The crowd wondered what was going on with Saito and watched as I picked her up and carried her inside of the stadium. Liao Ru and the others followed us to see what happened to Saito. We hurried inside of the battleship and got Saito hooked up to the Star Shooter's generator so Saito could charge up. I looked at Saito then crouched down in front of her.

"What happened to her?" Kikyo asked.

"Her systems failed after using her Overload Mode. She needs to charge up so she can be back in action. We only need one more point and I don't want to risk anything." Orishi said. "I don't want to send in Liao Ru yet...I want her to battle Yan Mei and be able to get her revenge."

"Yeah." Yumeji smiled and nodded.

Saito made a soft noise then opened her eyes slowly. "Battery..10%..."

Everyone sighed in relief then smiled at Saito. I looked at Saito then looked at the others.

"I'll stay here with Saito. You all head back, we don't want to keep the crowd waiting." I smiled.

"Alright." Orishi nodded and everyone had left from the Battleship.

Saito looked at me then looked away a bit. "This always happens when I go all out. I hate it when I get like this..."

"It's alright, Saito. You were really cool out there. It seemed like a flawless win for you." I smiled at her.

"Well I did download her battle style...Because of that, I was able to just know what she would do before she even knew what she wanted to do. It is a quirk of mine to just download my opponents and copy them if I had to." Saito said.

"Man...you are really cool.." I smiled and she blushed at my comment.

"Thank you.." Saito said then smiled a little.
