Doc was mostly scared that she would say something wrong during the interview.
She had nothing to hide but it was still nerve-wracking.
She personally hoped to just be questioned by the Nu-7 commander, but she was unlucky.
The followers of O5-4 were known for their perceptiveness.
Most of them were either trained by O5-4 himself or by his right hand.
Simply said, every single member of the Intelligence Agency was a force to be reckoned with.
Doc continued speaking.
"In the morning we had breakfast and Hawk departed earlier than the others since he had to get in position,
The rest of us got ready for departure aswell,
We would need to be alert and ready for the upcoming battle, as we did not expect him to surrender without fight."
The Hierophant looked sharply at Doc.
"Please continue combat medic "Doc"." said The Hierophant.
Doc continued talking.
"We entered the village and started gathering all the villagers in the center so we could pick out the serpent's hand member when we heard a sniper shot ring out, operative One dropped dead on the ground instantly. Hawk told us that we were getting shot at and that he was looking for the shooter when another shot rang out, this time killing operative Three. This is when we realized that Hawk was shooting at us. We all ran away but operative Two got tagged in the stomach. He managed to get to cover and I started treating him, but the bullet had hit many major organs. I stitched it up to my best extent and gave him morphine but he kept making horrible gurgling sounds. Hawk... No... That creature heard us and came towards us, I had to leave Two behind otherwise we would've both died..."
Doc suddenly Broke down and started crying, the mission was supposed to be easy and after it she would be able to become a medic on site.
The Hierophant looked satisfied upon hearing Doc's story.
"Well, I assume you have had a long week and I do not want to stress you too much, I will allow you to return and rest for today. You will be called in again for questioning tomorrow."
The Hierophant quickly opened the door and allowed Doc to leave under the escort of two guards.
They weren't sure if Doc was affected by an anomaly, so she would first be quarantined for a while.
The Hierophant went back to his office before sitting down on his chair and sighing.

-THE FOREST, ??:?? AM-
"Ugh."
Leo woke up with a splitting headache and felt terrible.
He was still really tired, but he just coped with it.
He quickly took out a bottle of water and a can of beans out of his backpack.
"Still tastes horrible, but I just have to deal with it."
He had an awful night of sleep, he continuously got woken up by sounds in the forest.
"Not a lot of time to waste, I better keep moving." Leo thought.
Leo kept walking and walking, but he kept feeling a presence behind him.
He had turned around multiple times already but failed to spot anything.
"What the hell is going on?" Leo thought.
Leo kept walking and walking until he found something interesting.
Right in front of him was a cave, it was not big but it was big enough for Leo.
Leo ended up making a small camp down there and lighted a fire, he would be staying in the cave for the night.
He could not stop thinking about the presence when he was hiking.
Normally he would not even be slightly concerned with this, but he was on the run from the foundation at the moment.
They could strike at any time, and he would be unaware.
In the end, Leo put it into the back of his mind and tried to sleep a bit.
...
"This is senior field agent Artemis reporting to headquarters, target has been spotted and seems to be aware that he is being followed, requesting my personal squadron to be sent in under my command."
"HQ to Artemis, request granted, backup will be on its way."
The man seemed to let out a smile of satisfaction.
He was wearing a tactical outfit and a logo of a slightly opened gate was seen on his sleeve.
