"You, are you rebelling?" Lian Shouren was infuriated with embarrassment.

"Eldest, you stand there and don't move." Old Master Lian commanded Lian Shouren.

Lian Shouren didn't know what Old Master Lian was planning, and seeing Lian Shouxin dare to fight back, knowing he would not come off better, he took his place.

"Old Fourth's wife, you strike him hard across the face like you did just now," Old Master Lian ordered Lady Zhang.

Everyone was stunned.

"Old Master, have you gone mad? Our eldest is on the path to becoming an official. How can you allow a countrywoman, and a younger brother's wife at that, to strike him in the face?" Lady Zhou said discontentedly.

Old Master Lian glared at Lady Zhou.

Lady Zhang, tender-hearted, had already stepped out of line in her anger by striking Lady Gu. To now be asked to hit Lian Shouren was too much; despite her deep loathing for him, her gentle nature made it difficult for her to raise her hand.
