It was an Eevee!

Whoa, an Eevee here? hmm yeah, I guess they can be found in forests but are quite rare...

I was watching from behind the bush and observing the Eevee. It was brown-colored and looked quite fluffy. Did I mention fluffy? Cuz it looked super fluffy!!! Dayum it looks so adorable and huggable!!! It looks to be sad though, I wonder why? I tilted my head in confusion.

I decided to scan and add its template first.

The lifespan part is understandable as for it to increase for an Eevee it will have to evolve. I hope this one turns into a Sylveon as in my opinion it's the most beautiful and powerful evolution. I used to like Dragon-type pokemon a lot when I was younger but then they released Fairy types and my heart got stolen by their Adorableness and power. Though it was regrettable that Dragon types got such a huge nerf though...

I still like Gible and Dragonite but not so much. I mean were the creators not satisfied with the fairy-type nerf that they also made Dragonite unable to mega-evolve?

ANYWAYS, I guess time to show my cute self and maybe make a new friend!

I scanned the place and seeing that there was no one around except the sad-looking Eevee licking water and the small pond in this clearing I stepped out of the bushes slowly and cautiosly. I don't want to startle the eevee, so I openly showed myself.

The Eevee got scared from the noise maybe but it seems to get startled and had a fearful look as it looked around.

It spotted me and calmed down a bit due to seeing how small and weak looking I am.

"Grrr" it snarled.

I was unbothered and just waved my right paw at him and said, "Hey Eevee can I get some water? I am not here to fight"

It looked at me for a few sec and back at the pond then said, "You are cute so you can."

Huh?

What did it just say?

What a weird pokemon...

Then I smiled at the Eevee and said, "Thanks Eevee"

The Eevee seemed to be taken aback at my smile and seemed to visibly relax a bit of its tension.

I approached the pond and for the next few minutes drank the water in silence. I turned back to see the Eevee glancing at me and I think it probably wants to talk to me.

'Hey system can you include gender in the status screen'

'What's the gender of this Eevee? I can't figure it out and it would be awkward if I don't know when I talk with it"

[The Eevee is a female]

Oh, thank god! I don't want to talk much to the male pokemon as they always seemed to be arrogant or competitive and stupid, plus it is more pleasant to talk to a girl than a sweaty guy.

"Hey Eevee would you like to talk with me for a while?"

She looked relieved and answered, "Yes, Sure! thank you for wanting to talk with me"

"Huh, why are you thanking me?"

"Because the other pokemon here are weird looking and can't understand me" she replied

"I guess it makes sense, you must be bored here, by the way, why did you say, "you can because you are cute"? Do you only like cute pokemon? "

She got panicked a bit and said, "Why, d-does it make me weird? Since I was born a few days ago and abandoned here I have only met weird-looking bugs. You are the only pokemon I have met that looks a bit like me with four legs and you are also able to talk, unlike those stupid bugs. Also, I like cute stuff like the cute flowers I found here nearby" while talking about the flowers she unconsciously let out a smile. So cuteeee!

I looked at her with some pity, it must be quite sad for her to be abandoned and not even be able to stay with her parents and having the company of bug pokemon. I am not sure but maybe bug pokemon gain intelligence more slowly than other pokemon babies.

"Nope I understand you, I also love cute stuff and it's terrible having no one to talk to. Hey, do you wanna be friends?"

"Yes!"

The Eevee no longer looked sad and excitedly came forward with tears in its eyes and hugged me.

"Aww there... there..." I patted the crying Eevee.

"My name is Soren and I am a pokemon called Skitty. would you like to follow me? I think we would be able to have a lot of fun together and explore the world"

"sniff...sniff...thank you, Soren, I would love to join you. I am an Eevee but I don't have a name yet" She replied beneath sniffles and a happy smile.

"yay I am so happy!! About your name hmm...how does Gwen sound?"

"Gwen...Gwen... It sounds nice! thank you, Soren!!" She hugged me tightly in happiness and then after separating, she started to hop and run excitedly.

I smiled at this scene. The sparse rays of sunshine coming through the canopy in this small clearing and water shining along with my first friend in this new world being so happy made me gratified and convinced that my decision to come to this world was the right one. I gazed at this cute scene and laid down on the grass nearby and waited for my new friend to calm down, thinking that maybe I might recall this scene and tease Gwen in the future *snickers* kekeke.
