Chapter 13 The Elements

Magics...Like Kei said, there are five types or elements of magic: Earth, Wind, Lightning, Water, and Fire. I'll teach you how to do the basics of magic later. Even though it's only been a month since then, people have already discovered alot of things about magics. I am a healer but I also can do magic, wind magic to be exact. Since I know more about the wind element, let me explain everything I know about it first."

" The Wind Element. Wind is one of the basic element that a player can be either born with or learned. Wind Magic is an ability to control air. Unlike other Element, this element can be found everywhere but also one of the strongest. And due to one of it's property, this element is almost invisible. Wind magic is not only used for support but also when attacking enemies. You need alot of mana to use magics though I mean that's obvious, Right?~"

" Now the Fire Element, this is the element that represents energy itself. It is one of the basics elements. One of the easiest spell of this element is Fire Ball. It's mostly used for offense. You played games before, right? And its common sense to know what the elements of fire is-----"

Kei looked at me as he cuts of Riah...

"Brother Liekris, we're probably the only ones who've entered those gates and this strong. Since people can't see their levels like we do, they dont know how strong they are yet. They don't even know what's inside a gate or if they should enter it or whatever. The highest level I've seen so far is Level 4... "

" Level 4? That's enough to atleast beat an E or D rank dungeon, if there is an E rank. But there probably is... That's already pretty impressive though... What's the person's name? " I asked him. I'm planning on taking that person in.

" I think his name was Yu Shen...?"

Kei then told me where he last saw him.

"What do you think about him? Do you know what his class is?"

"Oh! Now that I think about it...Yu Shen is really big and mascular so he's probably a Tank..." After that, Kei described to me how he looked like from head to toe.

"Uhm...Hello? I'm still here~ Aren't they gonna let me explain about the other elements and how magic works?~ Hmp!" Riah murmured to herself.

Kei and I continued our conversation completely ignoring Riah.

A few minutes later

"I'm gonna try recruiting him, is that okay with you two?" I looked at the both of them waiting for their reply.

They both looked at each other and nodded in response.

Ahem!

"Now then, Riah. Please continue..." I looked at her waiting for her to continue.

Riah took a deep breath and looked at the both of us with a slightly annoyed face.

"Okay! Fine! hmp~"

"Since I've already explained what the Fire Element is earlier...Next is the Water Element. As you may know already, if you have enough common sense, Water is water. Ahem! Water magic...This magic attribute allows the user to generate and manipulate water at will. Like other elements or magic, some may require casting a specific spell or say some ancient words and some might not. That's all I know for now... But one of it's basic spells is Water Slicer, this magic is also one of the easiest magic there is. Hmmm Same goes for the other Elements. Earth element or earth magic is what allows the user to manipulate earth or land. And Lightning Element is rare and I dont know anything about it yet, but maybe its just the same as the others. It allows you to control or manipulate lightnings. Oh one more thing~" Riah stopped and glared at Kei.

Hm?

" What is it Riah?"

Riah looked at me and continued explaining...

"Kei might be right that anyone can use magic...BUT! Only if you have an affinity to that element or you we're born or reawakened with that element! I know 'how' to use magic other than wind magic but I can't manipulate them at my own free will."

[Ps. She knows how to do it but can't because she only has an affinity to the Wind Element]

"Oh is that so...? Then how do you know if you have an affinity to an element?" Kei asked acting like an innocent child pure of curiosity.

"Ahem... It's pretty simple Kei, I know you already know about this so stop...But if you really dont know----You concentrate, feel the energy inside of you and once you feel it~ Feel the energy once more and imagine that you're moving closer to that energy and you'll see something that looks like a fire...It its blue then its water, fire is red, lightning is yellow, wind is green, and earth is brown~

Ohhh... That's indeed pretty simple...

"So~ Let's try it out shall we? You too, Kei... If you've tried it already then...Try again...Maybe you just got it wrong or something...You might get lucky and discover a new element or something~" Riah said as she laughed.

Hmmm...

20 minutes later...

"Brother Liekris, that's so unfair! How come you succeeded but not me?..." Kei looked and pouted.

Kei, you're so cute...

*chuckle*

" I'm sure you can do it too...Just try a little harder"

Hmmm...

After this, Should I meet up with that Yu Shen?
