The universe, by itself, cannot interfere or take sides. However, it can be influenced, a capability exclusive to Supremes and Celestials. Yet, this influence comes at a cost. The universe, in its entirety, shapes the destiny of every living thing within it. To influence the universe is to shape the karma or destiny of someone.
However, such influence comes with a price. Once the universe is guided toward a path it wasn't naturally following, there will be a backlash that only Supremes and Celestials can endure. There are no exceptions, and the karmic backlash is determined by the extent and depth of the influence.
A Celestial may fall into a deep slumber for hundreds of thousands of years due to the influence of the Karmic balance of someone. It's a perilous act, and before someone ventures to such dangerous lengths, it may indicate either desperation or madness.
