Duel

Will was the first to move this time around and with flames erupting from his feet had launched a sudden attack.

Although, Dan had a muscular and huge physique is reflexes amd speed said otherwise. He evaded and punched his side. A cracking sound was heard as his ribs crumbled just from that insane attack.

Will felt an overbearing pain and couldn't help but groan as he placed his other hand on his sides supporting himself. Dan threw a flurry of punches and Will had no choice but to be on defense.

He didn't bother himself with the system notifications that popped up as all his senses were on high alert. He blocked and deflected as their figure moved across the expanse.

"Ohhh! I see... your broken ribs have been healed." Dan commented as he swung his fist with the gauntlets lighting up once again. "Let's see you deal with this!"

Will ever so calm had steadied his breathing and activating his wind ability, he had made several wind barriers.

"That won't stop me," he yelled as he punched through the barriers.

"It wasn't there to stop the punch," Will muttered as he stomped at the ground his feet sinking into the ground. He stretched out his blazing hands, his sword back on its sheath. Grabbing onto the hand, he felt his hands almost giving in to the unbearable force but he had made sure to keep it stable.

"Ugh," he spat at blood, his hands firmly holding onto Dan's own. He then twisted his hips and swung his leg releasing a bright fiery kick which had connected straight to the sides of his head.

Dan had retaliated with a punch of his, hitting his face. They both let go and had jumped backward before dashing forward again. Will had decided to fight with his bare fists, avoiding Dan punches with his slender body and throwing some light punches.

"You're not that bad," Dan said as his arm and leg piece armour began to glow. "But this is were it ends for you!"

He punched out with both fists sending Will flying through the air and had landed on a tree destroying it.

Will was on his feet in no time with blood dripping from his lips. "I think it's time I take this serious... play time's over!"

He drew out his sword once again and channelled his fire energy into it ligting it up. His legs were covered in gales of winds as he kicked off the ground.

"First form of the heaven-defying technique, flowing force!" He charged forward as both collided once more. This time around with each strike Dan could feel him matching his strength and within minutes they were at equal strength. "Shit! I'm getting pushed to the corner! To think I would have to use this on this weakling!"

He spun and swung his elbow hitting Will across his head and had brought the elbow back hitting him again.

"Shit! What's this guy made of?!" Will felt disoriented but didn't let his guard down.

"Second formation of the palm strike techniques... Thousand strike!" He had opened his fist and then at astonishing speed delivered flurry of palm strikes towards him.

Tsk. "I can't keep up! I'm getting overwhelmed! Activate [ Dash ] skill." The skill had been activated and he had gained a massive boost in his speed and agility. He struck down each strike his hands moving before the attack was being made.

"Damn! How's he doing it! This is... ugh." He had been struck on his chest although the attack didn't pass through his armour, the force from the attack had made him gasp for breath.

"I need to finish this before the cooldown time for the skill." His hands moved rapidly and with each strike he was getting stronger, and had already surpassed Dan both in strength and agility.

"Isn't he supposed to get tired as time progresses? I can't do anything but defend. It seems as the fight continues he gets stronger. Am I going to lose?"

"This is it, finish it in one go. Second form of the heaven-defying technique! Raging force!" A insurmountable amount of energy engulfed his blade and with a swift swing, the sword moved with high speed towards his chest.

"Ugh!" He groaned as his upper body slid off. "Huh? Am I hallucinating? No! The attack, it's going to cut through me!" His mind was in a jumbled mess as he collapsed.

A large explosion occurred beyond the landscape with the trees getting destroyed from Will's attack. Just in the right time he had shifted the aim of the attack careful not to hurt the others as well.

"C'mon man, Stand up." Will said with a grin, "do you think I'm going to kill you just over a friendly fight?" He stretched out his hands and reluctantly Dan held onto it and was pulled up.

'But I saw myself split into two, how's that possible? And is he really the last son of the Sonoma family? I thought he was a weakling?'

"Just how strong have you gotten Will,it won't be long before you surpass both of us," Dren thought as he found a new determination.

"I didn't expected it to end this way... but, anyway it's better this way. I'm beginning to think it was the right choice in partnering with him."

"So, about the deal," Will said with a wide grin. "I believe you're one to keep to your promise or are you a cowardly leader?"

'Shit! I have no choice but to comply. Trying to make use of the situation, huh? For now, I'll go along with whatever you say but you better watch your back.'

"I..." Just about speaking up, the ground rumbled and from the front a large group of beast had surrounded them.

Their skinny frame and patched skin were covered in little flames. Their fluorescent eyes and deadly row of teeth gave them a ferocious appearance. With little spikes at the top of their back down to the tail.
