Chapter 54

"I won't hold back using this thing," Lucifer said as they both waited for the room to begin 

"Please, don't," Athena said smirking a bit. "I don't like being proven wrong."

Alice had an idea click into her head for a minute. She began tinkering with the computer logging into her account online and starting a live video.

"And good evening Bolivia!" she said excitedly.

[Princessa!]

[Good evening, Your Highness!]

[Why is she doing a live on a Monday?]

[Princess sounds so cute today]

"I know a lot of you are wondering why I'm going live today, but I am about to witness some epic fight and I would like to share it with you!"

[Fight? That's a bit out of place, doesn't she only review movies, songs, and products?]

She sets the computer to go live and everyone can see what is going on.

[My beauts]

[Athena and Phoenix?]

[Why would they want to fight?]

[Context please, some of us don't know they are]

[They are friends. I hope neither of them hurts their beautiful skin doing this, Apollo would be devastated...]

The computer began to count down.  "Three... Two... One..."

Lucifer moved first, almost disappearing instantly from his spot.

Athena took three steps backward before a blade swung a centimeter away from her neck.

[That was close!!!]

[Is he trying to kill her?]

"I thought they weren't to hold back against each other," Artemis said in surprise.

"They are holding back?" Rosemarie and Hiro said turning to Artemis in surprise.

"Yes," Apollo replied. "I don't think it would be wise for them to do so at this moment," he said as he watched.

"OH! This is so exciting!" Alice said as she watched Athena being pushed back by Lucifer's technique. "His weapon is very beautiful," she said.

Athena was unable to get close to Lucifer, she continued dodging looking for an opening. She had an idea of how to defeat Lucifer and for her to win.

She jumps several feet backward and throws one of the daggers in the air, she keeps eye contact with Lucifer as she does this.

Just as the dagger was about to fall and it was at the perfect angle, she jumped and kicked it towards Lucifer who was coming after her.

Lucifer dodges it as expected and the dagger breaks the forcefield on the ground and a few cracks surround the place it stood. It was slowly melting the ground as well.

"Oh my goodness!" Alice shouted using the speakers.

[The dagger broke through the force field!]

[What kind of strength is this?]

[Are we sure they aren't super soldiers?]

When Lucifer dodged, his guard was down for a second and that was what Athena wanted. When she lands on the ground, she disappears and appears behind Lucifer.

Lucifer notices this and swings his scythe over his head, Athena bends down, sweeping him off his feet.

He was about to catch his fall, but Athena had other plans for him, she got up and punched him down. Hard.

Lucifer spat out a bit of blood when the punch hit and landed on the ground hard, meanwhile, he never let go of his sickle, he simply shortened the handle of his sickle by a few inches as he was falling.

Athena placed the dagger neck. She didn't need to turn around to know that the inner blade of the scythe was behind her neck.

"Well played," she said, smiling.

"You too," Lucifer replies, pressing another button, and the scythe retracts.

Athena gets up and helps him up as well. Lucifer held his stomach as he was helped up. "It's a good thing we didn't eat before any of this," he said, jokingly.

[It's over? It was so short!]

[I felt that punch! How is still standing?]

[What do you mean it is too short? You wouldn't even last the first twenty seconds if you fought either of them]

[Is our beaut alright? I thought I saw blood spilling from his mouth]

[That's why I'm asking how he's still standing!]

"Oh, wow," Hiro said holding his stomach. "That must have been painful," he said, almost in pain. When Phoenix broke Xavier's nose he was knocked unconscious, he most definitely spat out blood after Athena punched him, but he's still standing.

Rosemarie's mind was blank. 'Wow,' she thought. This didn't end like she thought it was going to end. Phoenix would have lost, but he thought of shortening his handle. No weapon can do that, they can only pop up with a button.

Meanwhile with Athena and Lucifer...

"Can the handle of the dagger also extend?" the Goddess of Wisdom asked out of curiosity.

"Yes," Lucifer replies. "I was hoping you would mistakenly press the button of the lower end of the dagger to extend the handle," he said grinning.

"Afraid you would have lost?" Athena said raising an eyebrow at him.

"No," Lucifer replied. "I just wanted you to humiliate yourself and I would have made fun of you for having a stupid point."

Athena wasn't amused by this. "You're lucky that didn't happen," she said.

"You wouldn't have done anything," Lucifer replies, rolling his eyes. "Surprisingly, you didn't mistakenly press it when you threw that one dagger at me," he said.

"But this is clever," Athena said. "Given that we give this to Hiro, I can teach him how to use both of them, create a button and where it can transform into a spear, bo-staff, or a dagger," she suggested.

"Um, you guys," Alice said through the microphone. "The dagger is still melting the ground," she said.

"Oh," Lucifer said, looking at the dagger a few feet away from him. He couldn't pick it up, it would burn his hand, so he just pressed the button at the button at the bottom. "I think that's a good idea, Athena," he said, standing up.

"Glad we can agree on this," she said, raising her hand for a handshake. They shook hands and that was all.

[They just shook hands and agreed on something]

[Isn't that His Highness, the Second Prince's fiancé?]

[Who?]

[The guy]

[Was there a disagreement of some sort?]

[Wait! The Second Prince has a fiancé?]

[Princess! IS THIS TRUE?]

"Okay, that's the end of the live, bye!" Alice said ending the live and sighing. "I feel like I'm going to be in so much trouble."

Lucifer and Athena came out of the training room happy with their agreement. "Hiro, we've decided," she said. "I will teach you how to use both a spear, dagger, and bo-staff."

Lucifer nodded, folding his arms. "Phoenix can create the perfect weapon for you, but until then we will be using wooden weapons, so you don't mistakenly hurt yourself," Athena said.

"Okay," Hiro replies.

"Great," Lucifer said. "First of all do you have any assignments to do?" he asked. "We want you to start today, but we don't want your teachers getting angry with you."

"No, no," Hiro said. "I don't have any assignments I need to submit before next week," he said.

"Great," Athena said, smiling.
