The Full-dive concept has always been the biggest dream for any player. Full dive is a term that has been used by some game developers to imply that their games provide a more-immersive VR experience. By using advanced full-body motion sensors and high definition spatial audio, along with the VR headset, players do enjoy more immersive gameplay than ever before.
In the anime, full-dive was used for a fully simulated VR-experience with all senses perfectly simulated. The NerveGear in the anime works with Microwaves, which can't transfer or analyse our brain's signals in the real world. Even sending fake signals to the five senses of the user was impossible through microwaves.
Although the possibility of a full-dive experience is tenuous at best, scientists and engineers have made giant steps toward immersive, full dive Virtual Reality experiences.
Magic leap was one of the few companies, who especially was trying to make a head-set, which would be able to make games more immersive.
Magic leap was already advertising their new product, which had the newest technologie.
The headset was EEG-based, which made it possible to detailly analyse the signal in the brain. With the lastest development of EEG, the density level rised, while the EEG became less and less heavy.
With the data of Neurolink and other companies, it was possible to identify all motoric signals. Coupled with the newest research about sleep paralyses, it was possible to copy and convert the motoric signals to the game character.
Short infrared laser pulses trigger REM paralysis by switching off motoneuron activity.
The exact target of the pulses are the metabotropic GABA(B) and ionotropic GABA(A)/glycine receptors.
The skeletal motor system is forced into a state of muscle paralysis, while the brain is fully awake.
The REM paralysis is reversed the moment the pulses are stopped, so even by any accidents there is no risk of staying paralysed.
To use the Magic leap VR, the player wears the game console over the head. Then it is recommended for the player to find a comfortable position to station the body, commonly a bed. Afterwards, the game will load upon utterance of the initiation words, "Link Start".
The real gateway for amazing unlimited experiences for VR in an increasingly mobile world…is 5G networks. The 5G network allows a faster exchange of information, which allows a more fluid gameplay.
The headset has to be connected to a computer with Graphene-CPU, which has become mainstream since 2030.
While the Nervegear in SAO could perfectly simulate the five senses: Taste, Sight, Sound, Smell, Touch; Magic leap VR only simulate Sight, Sound and can additionally simulate Touch and minimal pain.
Smell and Taste could have been tried to be integrated, but the price outweighed the benefits.
3-D Audio Spatialization coupled with a single 16k panel across both eyes give the gameplay a very detailed sight and hearing.
There is a deluxe version of Magic leap VR, which has a capsule-like form.
The capsule doesn't need an extern processor and has many luxuries like air conditioning.
The main feature is the smart textile which contains an array of pneumatic microfluidic air actuators. The actuators provide haptic feedback by filling it with air and push against the user's skin in the same way when the humans touch the real objects. The miniature valves inside the actuators control the pressure of each actuator to create a sensation of touch. The pressure is controlled in a way that the user can even feel the texture, shape, and size of the virtual object . It can produce a variety of actuators of different shapes and density with the thickness of less than 2mm.
Additionally, ultrasound transmitters are all over the capsule. The focused ultrasound can stimulate tactile, thermal, itching, tickling and pain sensations.
The Magic leap VR cost 1200$, while the capsule cost 2799$.
With the publicity about Magic leap VR having already reached the world, the news about the possible games was also made public.
For now, there have only been games, who are able to fully use the VR and capsule.
The first one was „Modern Battlefield", which cost 260$.
The second one was „Hunter world", which cost 349$.
Modern Battlefield was the first VRMMO shooter game and it was a very realistic simulation of futuristic war. The company already has a great reputation thanks to their older games.
Hunter world was a mysterious game with only one trailer and it was mainly an open world game, where you fight with weapons against monsters. As World Game Forger was not known till now, many people didn't expect a lot from the game.
The clear favourite till that point was Modern Battlefield.

After the Magic leap VR and the games were open to the market, a flood of people came to every Expert, Best buy, Media Markt and Saturn to buy them.
Especially in such a chaotic time people needed entertainment, Magic leap VR was exactly what the people needed.
To emerge in a new world and forged the danger and the stress of the real-world. Just after the first days of selling, the selling rates of the two competitive games slowly shifted.
While Modern Battlefield had a better marketing strategy and was more realistic, it was not exactly what people needed.
Modern Battlefield was very complex, which caused a lot of frustration, and very bloody.
On the other side, Hunter world had a fantasy world touch with beautiful landscapes. The game was easy to understand, had great comical dialogues and it gave people the chance to confront their greatest fear known as monsters.
With the increase in popularity, GWF suddenly became the dark horse in the gaming industrie. The media reported about the small company and their history.

In a small room in Stuttgart, a young boy had just bought the Magic leap VR in. Opening the big cartoon, he took everything out and began plugging in his gaming computer with the headset.
A few minutes later, having read through everything, he looked at the headset a last time before starting it.
It was a beautiful black headset. On the side was a beautifully inscripted „Magic leap VR". At the front, three little LEDs had just begun to blink. Amadeus slowly mumbled:
„Power, 5G, server."
He still couldn't believe he had used so much money for a game, but after staying so long in the queue he could only be proud of buying it. His parents didn't know of his expense and they had warned him to find a job or study.
Taking on the headset, Amadeus laid down on his bed. The helmet fitted perfectly and was quite comfortable. Before him was a wide black display.
Having sensed the user, a second later the display lit up. The headset didn't have a lot of function for now. In the menu, Ama only found the setting, the support and the game.
Not even checking the setting, Ama directly said: „Link start!"
The screen showed: „Welcome to Hunter World!"
Following that a short intro happened. Suddenly, Ama woke up from his stupor and tried to move.
´I can't move it. Wow. I am amazed and at the same time fearful. I read all the articles about ML-VR, but it still is strange to not be able to move. Should I try to log out? No. I can't wait to see the fantasy world.´
The first billion players felt similar. The game suddenly became so realistic that it was almost terrifying. The 16K may not be comparable to the natural sight, but compared to the normal games it was a huge leap.
It was comparable to somebody watching a black and white movie and suddenly seeing the movie with colours. With high interest in the new product and the positive reviews, it ended with more and more people buying a headset.
With more and more brighter public, the „Hunter World" slowly took over thanks to its more friendly handling.
With VR-gaming slowly taking over the gaming market, other games and headset weren't bought as often.Other gaming companies seeing the money fly away, started to make a game based on the same headset.
